We loved seeing the chimps up close, except from the number of visitors. We counted 41 people chasing 2 male chimps. Impossible to see them (chimps) in their natural world as they would be. It was like crowds following Tiger Woods on a Sunday. Poor show UWA.

Best experience ever, the chimps are so cool!!!! 🦍 The park is amazing and so big, our guide was not the best but he found a lot of chimps and we walked a lot, had a great time at the Park. I think the price of 200 dollars is too much for the habituation, but the experience was really great 🤙😌🌍🏞️🇺🇬🇵🇪.

Amazing experience to watch Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Our guide was super nice and learned us a lot. 4 Stars just because when we arrived at the chimpanzees all groups came together and all went a bit out of control. Some guest did not wear their face masks which we been told to do so and even the other guides didn't react. I think we should appreciate that we can see them and follow the rules.

This was an unforgettable experience. We started out with a longish walk ( which we welcomed as needed some exercise) to find the chimp community. Eventually, we found a fee members and then a bigger group on the ground. They came so close, you could have touched them. I never thought, they would come this close to us! You have an hour with the animals, but it’s more than enough to observe their behaviour. The only downside that there will be a big group of people, and I felt quite uncomfortable to invade the chimps’ space this much. Nonetheless, if you are not all about that insta picture, put down your camera after a few snaps for memory and just experience this…. Truly once in a life time. Please bring your face mask with you! Whenever you are around the chimps it’s a must to wear to protect them from our diseases such as covid.

the chempamsys were amazing, but there where way to many tourist and it escalated to a chase of the monkeys. I'm of corse not an expert in any way, but they seemed stressed and scared.

This forest provides the perfect place for those who want to enjoy fresh air and resting. For trekking remember to carry an umbrella as it may rain any minute. Accommodation wise... Chimpundu Lodge has exquisite setup; check them out.

The chimpanzee trekking was amazing. Just as good as the gorilla trek. Easy walking in open jungle. Not as dense or hilly as the gorillas

I like it for the chimps. You will see the chimpanzees, crater lakes , you can visit the Nkuruba Nature reserve from where you can spend more time with the monkeys it's very easy to see them here.

this is one of the best places to see the endangered chimpanzees in there natural habitat. we had to be there very early in the morning since the tracking experience requires reservation and the numbers are limited. the walk through the forest a was another high on the trip not forgetting the baboons that kept following us throughout. our guide/ ranger was also very educative

Terrific park and really great to see the chimps. We set off in our small groups but virtually all of the mornings clients, approx 30, ended up surrounding 3 chimps. They didn't seem to mind, totally at liberty to go away had they wanted. But so many humans seemed intrusive.

Incredibly beautiful rainforest, rich in wildlife! Professional, interesting and friendly rangers for the most part. I did a chimpanzee trek in the morning (8 am to 12 pm) and a night walk in search of bushbabies in the evening (7 pm to 9 pm). Both were great and rewarding! On the downside, I found that too many groups of people were chasing the chimpanzees at the same time (around forty people in the morning), sometimes with no regard for the comfort or respect of the chimpanzees... Between one or two guides shouting in the forest and jostling visitors, and some ill-mannered tourists taking off their masks to take selfies with the primates in defiance of the sanitary measures imposed to protect them, I sometimes felt uncomfortable, for myself, for the other members of my small group and for the chimpanzees... Perhaps it would be a good idea to think about lowering the ceiling on the number of simultaneous trekkers? And to better educate guides and trekkers about the importance of maintaining calm and wearing masks when faced with the chimps? These animals are so precious and the setting so magical, it would be a shame to turn it into a circus...

Exceeded all expectations! The lush greenery, diverse wildlife, and captivating bird species make it a nature lover's paradise. The chimpanzee tracking experience was unforgettable, offering a rare glimpse into their natural habitat. The knowledgeable guides added depth to the adventure. Clean facilities and responsible eco-tourism practices further enhance the park's appeal. A must-visit destination for anyone seeking an immersive and sustainable jungle experience.

Loved this place! Stood within six feet of chimpanzee, saw at least a dozen. Guide was very knowledgeable and helped get the best position for photos. I used a tour agency called Katella Uganda Safaris and felt very safe as a solo traveler. Would definitely use them again and ask for Joseph as a tour guide. He has many social contacts to help arrange spontaneous activities (I wanted to see how beer and gin are made from bananas; he made it happen!). Go to Uganda! It's the trip of a lifetime!

It was an incredible experience to be able to watch the chimps so close to us! However, I believe they should limit more the amount of people that do these tracking per day. By the time we spotted the chimps many groups had come together and we were at least 30 people surrounding them and taking pictures. Some people didn't even respect the rules (no masks) or orders from the rangers on how to behave around the animals.
