It is good place to see. I recommend you to go to the top of the rock for a nice view. It has three different rock paintings. Two of them are five thousand and one of them is three thousand years old. Two of them close to each other. And the third one is about eight hundred meters from these ones.

it is a very old place. there are paintings dated 5000 years ago. Not easy to believe but carbon tested gave that result. there are sun, cano, man, rain and giraffe drawings. they are engraved, they used a kind of paint. i dont know how they have been presevered that long. It is also nice hiking and climbing. Not a good place for toddlers.

Ideal place for adventure and rock climbing. I saw all these paintings I didn't know existed. All the symbols on Uganda's currency/shillings that I knew nothing about. I loved it. The guide was kind and we took our time. Had a thorough look around, etc. Lovely place. You should visit!

When visiting the rock paintings you're allowed to camp in the premises with your own tent. It's not a formal campsite though. There are no showers and toilets were quite dirty but the setting if nice. They charge 10,000 UGX per person for camping.

The area has had such an improvement, now with a fence, visitors' desk, trash cans, and a dedicated team of guides. Despite of the information limitations, the paintings are actually still clear and visible. For those making Eastern Uganda tour, it's a definite stop over with a glance at KUMI University.

This place shows the role of art work in human societies right from our ancestral background. I liked everything there.

I visited this place in 2016 with my friend and surely it was fantastic! the place has got rich history and stunning geographical phenomena including caves, rock outcrops and open savannah vegetation. This was a one night tour from Kampala- Uganda

Nyero is great place to learn about rock art paintings of a group of Bantu people who later migrated to western Uganda. They used rock painting to document their ways of life to future generations. Nyero is now occupied by the Iteso people. Besides learning about this rich History, you'll also enjoy nice hike around the three different rocks, great scenery of flat plains of Teso. You can also visit Kumi university and Nyero township which are close by.

Not much interesting, few pieces, only one, of the sun, which is umbilical of Uganda, is in good condition, because it scratch on the rock. I mean if you came just to see it from Kampala, youโ€™ll be disappointed.

Nyero Rock Paintings holds vast ancient paintings of over 4000 years in their 6 different sites with the first three rocks having detailed cave paintings. I would recommend it anytime for anyone who would love to bask into the sacred knowledge of ancient time.

A special spot with its huge rocks, bush and of course unusual rock art. We camped on the site thanks to a "private arrangement" with Diana Rose in the office and took a rather curious walk around with William the caretaker/guide. Ask him to show you his books about the site as they have some interesting info. Stunning spot to spend some time, some great sundowner spots and birds to be seen too.

(Translated by Google) It is said to be the only historic site in Uganda and tells us that there was a place of life about 5,000 years ago. In particular, murals with sun-like paintings show good faith in the sun at that time. Few people visit Ajac Uganda because they don't know it well, but sometimes foreigners come. There is a stone mountain 200 meters away from the ruins of this ruins. This place is called Moruikara. It is a place of prayer for Christians. Rock paints of over 3000 years in different locations within the same vicinity. Some of the paints are used by Uganda museum as their logo and the Ugandan currency note denomination 1k has one of the paints found here at Nyero. Such a valued heritage site in Uganda with beautiful sceneries.

(Translated by Google) Where prehistoric paintings remain If you visit Kumina Soroti and Mvale in Uganda It's a good place to visit, but it's nice to have some infrastructure around. If you can enjoy local specialties, handicrafts or other beverages or rolls, it would be more likely. Not a bad place to take a hike and do child friendly rock climbing. Most of the paintings are a little worn due to time and weather. But there's one really nice one on the ceiling of one of the caves, and this symbol can also be seen on the 1,000/- Uganda shilling note. Recommend
