A beautiful park with many animals and birds. There are no lions or elephants in the park, but there are leopard, hippopotamus, zebras and antelopes. The journey from Kampala will take about five hours with a stop. The road is of good quality. Entrance was paid in dollars in cash, although they say that you can only pay by card or mobile money. You can also drive your own car if it has not rained. Night safari requires a ranger in the car which costs $20 per person.

This is the best national park for wild animals I have ever seen. There are hundreds of giraffes, zebras, impalas, velvet monkeys, hippos, birds and so on. We enjoyed every second of it.

If u want to see Zebra's this is the place to go. The zebras are many, incredible seeing how they coexist with the communities and even graze with the cows, goats n sheep. Giraffes are also here, those tall majestic gentle giants, warthogs, vultures, buffaloes, common eland, oribi and so much more

Lake Mburo is still my favorite national park in Uganda, lots of wild animals especially when you enter via Nshara gate. Being on the lake side in the evening gives you clear chance to see Hipos moving out the lake to go graze. Today I came close 20 meters to a Giraffe, its was so amazing. Topis, monkeys, baboons, zebras, and many more are also available

Lake Mburo's charm lies in the astonishing diversity of game, from the zebra to impala, buffalo, leopard and hippo.๐Ÿฆ“๐Ÿ†๐Ÿƒ It is less congested by tourists which gives you an opportunity to learn a lot more without hindrance. Be sure to go for other activities like Boat cruise and the safari drive. You will leave with great memories.

Best place to see Zebras in Uganda. A walking safari is the best experience in this Uganda's smallest Savannah national game park. Visit Lake Mburo national park in western Uganda, it's so beautiful and diverse with a lot of wildlife.

A small but nice park with a lot of zebras, giraffes and antelopes. Not so many different animal species (no lions, elephantsโ€ฆ). A walking safari is a great way to explore the park from a different perspective.

You will find Giraffe, Zebra,Hippo, and few more from very near to vehicle. Think of taking guide with you as roads are confusing and you may end up wasting time for searching internal roads without watching any animal.

With an area if 370 square kilometers, Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest National Game Park in Uganda and closest to Kampala, the Capital City of Uganda. The park has a variety of animal species ranging from Zebras, Buffalos, Impalas, Antelopes, Giraffes, Warthogs, among others. A number of activities happen at the park including fishing in the Lake Mburo Waters.

January is probably the least ideal time to visit (for us it was a pitstop on the way on our roadtrip). It seems this is right after the rainy season, so the vegetation was way too overgrown and we could not see anything past the roads/paths we were driving on. The animals are also more 'wild' and less accustomed to people/vehicles so they are shy in comparison to what we experience in Masai Mara, so they will run off when you approach in the vehicles. There is also very little information regarding the different activities on their website - i.e. nature walk through the park, biking through the park. We wanted to do the biking safari but as we could not get adequate information before getting to the safari gate we did not have the opportunity to do that. (You have to have a ranger to go with you, the bikes need to be rented at a nearby resort, pricey for what it is, and they recommend doing it in the morning). I think the park is great, but do make sure it is the right season to go there. And for bike safari early morning is the best option. As for the resorts/lodging, there are quite a few options on both sides/entry gates that are nearby. We chose for Eagles Nest, it is a great place, high up, good scenery views, clean. The service could be somewhat better. But overall good place. (Photos include view of Mburo from Eagles Nest)

I remember meeting the zebra at the park entrance; as if they were there to welcome us! And the seeing lots and lots of impalas, more zebra, topi, waterbuck, warthogs. It was all impressive; lots of mammals in such a small park! The varied landscape made the tour more interesting

Fabulous small park. While it lacks the top predators it more than makes up for it in an abundance of game. I loved our bush walk with Ranger Jameson. We " herded" 17 beautiful Rothschild's Giraffes, passed a large group of Eland cows and calf's, and huge herd of buffaloes. A boat ride on the lake was a lovely way to end the day.

These are animals (Zebras) for part of the beautiful L.Mburo National Park located at around 200km West of the capital Kampala, Uganda. The park has many other animals including Buffalos, antelopes, hyenas, reptiles, birds, with a Shallow lake. The park has a main road making it east to reach and also located between the major cities of Kampala and Mbarara and near Masaka city making it easy to access services.

Lake mburo national park is a very interesting national park in southwestern Uganda.. My first time there it was really massive. On my game drive through rough trucks while sighting a large number of wildlife interructing freely in the beautiful plains. We saw different herems of zebras, herds of Elands, impalas, water bucks, topis, buffalos all at the closest range. What amused me was the observation of the interlocking hills in the background west of Lake Mburo. Its is really an interesting destination to be visited.

We had a three day trip to Lake Mburo National Park and had quite a lot in just two nights to do! This smallest savannah National Park has got diverse wildlife, with several lakes that gives you a lot to feed your eyes on. We had a game drive enroute to Mihingo lodge and another game drive early morning the next day with afternoon boat cruise and in all this game drives we saw big numbers of zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, and hippos and lots birds ( bird lovers this is a place not to miss on your visit Uganda). The nature walks was our highlight as came up close with some of the animals in their natural habitat, we encountered a tower of giraffes. I will be back to this park with the main aim of birding!

Its populated with beautiful acacia trees which attract a healthy population of giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, cape buffalos, wart hogs, waterbucks, topis and alot more. I advise everyone to put it on his/her bucket list if you plan to visit Africa. You will not regret

Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda with eland, impala and klipspringer. It is also home to the largest population of zebra in Uganda estimated at about 5,000 and probably contains the highest concentration of leopard found anywhere in Uganda. Buffalo, waterbuck, topi and warthog are also very common. Reedbuck and oribi can also be spotted in the open valleys. Hyena, genet, bush pigs and white tailed mongoose are often seen on night game drives. Incase you would like to arrange a safari to Lake Mburo National Park and other national parks in Uganda, kindly reach out to Chimpanzee Tours and Travel Uganda. Our team will provide with all the necessary info. #chimpanzeetoursandtraveluganda

An incredible and authentic experience viewing wildlife in Lake Mburo National Park. I was fascinated by the nature and wildlife in this savana park. Beautiful birds, Zebras, Elands, Giraffes and Impala as well as Buffaloes and Warthogs. It was an amazing experience. I ended with the cultural experience in the pastoralists community of Ankole long horned cattle. It is for sure an authentic experience you should not miss while in this National park. Thank you Bugoli Adventures Limited!
