We had an amazing time at Bush Lodge. The facilities are clean, well-maintained. The chef creates amazing dishes. The whole staff is very friendly, polite and tends to all your needs. The place has a wonderful setting, hippo visited us twice in a row. We really enjoyed and can only recommend it.

We arrived here without a reservation (low season) and were welcomed with cold drinks and a big smile. The staff extremely friendly and helpful, special mentions to Peter who accompanied our 2 nights stay. The location is perfect , nested by the channel and surrounded by wildlife. They helped us organising a guide for a self game drive and also a boat tour on the channel. A great price/quality lodge to stay in the area. Food was also really good and substantial. We stayed in a self contained tent, where even housekeeping was done while we were away enjoying our day. The security always accompanied us moving around the property in the dark and looked out for our security. Loved staying here! Thank you for the memorable experience. Vanessa and Jozsef

Located on a wonderful edge directly at the kazinga channel we had our best stay during our Uganda trip. The staff is very friendly and funny. Rooms are well sized, you will feel very comfortable and for sure they provide a moskitonet. The rooms as well as the toilets at the restaurant are very clean. The service is on point in every way. For us, they cooked the best food and provided meat and vegetarian meals. When the weather's nice during the evening you will eat in the garden, they make soup over the open fire and meanwhile you can enjoy the best view. The lodge works together with the local community when it comes to game drives(safari) or boat cruises. You can book spontanous and the communication about informations like prices, time tables and everything is very good. For all the self-drivers will be interesting that the guides always drive, different to the murchison NP you as a driver can fully enjoy the animals. If you have some dirty clothes, we can recommend the washing service in this lodge. Fast and clean(depending on weather). Another special thing are the animals around the lodge. Because of the green and the river around/ at the lodge you have a pretty good chance to see an hippo or elephant during your stay. We were woken up by a hippo at 2 o'clock, when it was friendly grassing in front of our room(no worries your room is liftet on woodstands). Thanks to the team of the bush lodge.

Good food, amazing staff and lodging for every budget and type. You can come here to stay in a lodge room, a ready tent or pitch your own tent. Very close to Queen Elizabeth, you hear hippos all night and they can even come graze next to your tent.

Buckle up for an amazing experience. This has to be one of nicest lodge I have stayed at in Africa. There aren't any gates or fences around the property so expect to sleep among the wild life! The common area includes a lobby, breakfast and dinner covered tent. Weather permitting dinners are usually held in the center of it all, next to the fire pit. We were fortunate to have had a Hippo stroll pass our dinner table during our first night. The lodge overlooks the river from where you can expect to hear hippos from your tented cottage. The staff was absolutely lovely and the breakfast and dinner was delicious. The tented cottage rooms overall were grand, well furnished and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower. A few recommendations: 1. Replace the old locks to the tented cottages. ours was severely damaged and could be opened by shaking the door from the outside. This contributed to a slight feeling of unease especially at night, when animals are roaming closely around the property 2. Put flashlights at disposal in each tented cottage 3. Provide a distress button/phone in each cottage case of an emergency at night, when we are discouraged to exit the cottage due to wild animals

Food very good and staff lovely. The accommodation is very good - with good showers - and evening meal around a campfire very good. Well situated for early morning game drives in Queen Elizabeth national park. Hippos and other animals wander round as on shore - need to be accompanied at night. Breathtaking views of stars on a clear night.

Great location first off. You can see the kazinga channel flowing in the background. The staff are incredibly friendly and interested in your journey and experience in the park. Food was amazing and they even catered for my brother who was lactose intolerant. The tents were comfortable and clean. We had hot water nightly due to the gas water heater and the sound of hippos lulled you to sleep. They would escort you to your tents at night due to hippos roaming around the camp site at night so watch out for that! Bumpy road in and out to get to the main road but once you reach the camp you forget about it. 10/15 mins to the different gates into the park. Overall a great experience.
