Located on Kyahugye island on lake Bunyonyi with beautiful and amazing scenery. Wild life like the Zebras, water bucks , antelopes , donkeys and different bird species. There’s a boat to ease transportation to the island and got a good chef for different assorted dishes. The electricity is on and off so come with extra power banks to have your gadgets charged. Rooms are well catered for but they are too far from the main reception area so it’s abit scary. But its an ideal place to spend ur holiday πŸ‘Œ

This was a surprising highlight of our brief tour through Uganda! This eco resort was something that was part of the package included in the Bwindi Forest tour we booked through Home to Africa tours and we probably would not have found this place on our own. The island had absolutely stunning views and the service was very good. The rooms were comfortable (though we did unfortunately get switched to a different room because of an issue with a door lock) and everyone was very kind. It was an extra bonus that there were so many interesting animals on the island (impala, a donkey, a zebra, many birds, etc.) I also enjoyed a brief canoe outing on my own for a bit as a nice solo relaxation activity but I think I would probably suggest charging a bit less for it (I paid $20 but I think it should probably be something more like $15 to go solo). Overall very lovely place and a great stop on our Uganda tour!

We came here when tourism in Uganda had not recovered from COVID in January of 2022. We booked the resort easily and the person we booked through was wonderful. We parked on the mainland and a boat took us to the island. This place is all by itself on the island. The cottages are scattered around the island so each is away from each other for privacy. The room was great with a balcony overlooking the lake. The island has some foot paths but not many to hike on. They have a few animals including a zebra who hangs around the donkeys and a colobus monkey by the name of the Conductor. This guy was hilarious! He acts like the manager by stopping by your cottage once or twice a day and sits on the balcony rail as if to ask us if everything is okay and then he moves on. The main house has a balcony where food is served overlooking the lake. The food was good. The menu was limited though I am sure due to the fact that there had been little business and so they did not have a lot on hand. The staff were wonderful. We did pay to take a boat ride on the lake and it was reasonably priced. It’s a beautiful lake and very quiet. There is not a lot to do but it was a great place to relax first a few days.

The experience starts with a scenic boat ride to the island where the hotel is situated. Friendly personnel, fine food, and great views at the terrace at daytime. We had a large cottage with views on lake Bunyonyi. The room was large, clean, quiet and had warm water access. Small remark is that I regret that the hotel has imported zebras, a monkey and impalas to the hotel. It’s nice to have them around when walking on the island, but on the other hand it feels somewhat unnatural for wild animals.

Very peaceful stay on a private island in a beautiful lake, reached by boat. Nice wooden cabins with hot shower, down on a hill so you need to be fit to climb back up to the restaurant an bar area, but there you're rewarded with a great terrace and view. Recommend the community walk on 1 of the islands. One of the worst roads to get to the pier for the boat to the island, but you probably can get a boat closer to the main road too. One of the best places to stay in Uganda

The view is amazing but the rooms, food, and the service could be improved.

The room was amazing. Fresh, spacious and modern. Food was great and you can see zebras and other animals not too far from the hotel. A great resort!

We had a great stay at this resort on top of a hill in a small island of lake Bunyonyi. Cottages are beautiful and you can see animals around your terrace.

The most magical place we have ever slept. The place is located on a beautiful island. We stayed here for two nights, but could have stayed longer. The people are very friendly and you can eat fresh fish from the lake for dinner. Make sure that you order on time. Thanks for everything and keep up the good work!

Beautiful resort strategically located on an island. There is a chance to see wildlife on the resort since the island hosts wild animals such as zebras and impalas.

Nice place for a chilling day. Great view of the lake. Good staff and food though some ingredients luck in their meals. I have loved the tropical forest as you're walking up the resort. It's been a rainy day so I haven't seen the animals.

A dream of a place in every possible way. Amazing staff, lovely family owners, beautiful setting, tasty food, good room at a decent price. Silas and his team are great people, so helpful, and informative. They helped us a lot with our journey there and also bus tickets and travel onwards after. Webale!

We enjoyed the morning on their deck with friends and had a wonderful lunch. Then we hiked around the island and went swimming in Lake Bunyonyi. Very nice. Highly recommend. We did not spend the night – this time – but likely will next time we’re in the area. The rooms are very nice and reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, I cannot say anything good about this island. We didn't sleep in this hotel, we just went for a tour to see the animals and we visited their restaurant. The price of the tour depends on how you look like. The locals said it costs 5k but when we arrived the guide insisted it's 20k per person and that the locals have to pay the same. The tour is 20-30 min long, depends on how slow your guide is walking. You don't see many different animals, it's better you save the moneu and go somewhere else. We wanted to see the zebra but you can see another one at the restaurant. A few days after our tour we found out that our "tour guide" is actually a chef and shouldn't even do the tour but he collected the money either way. Next week our foreign friends paid 5k per person for the same tour. It isn't fair what you're doing and your set prices are too high for what you can offer. Trying to rob foreigners just because of white skin shouldn't be your bussiness strategy. I would pay this amount for a good tour and wouldn't complain but I don't like your attitude.

+: The location is like a small paradise on earth. Nice cottages and if you are lucky you'll have a great view on the lake. Wild animals (zebra, crane birds, ...) are just within reach. This was soooooo great -: Bad showers. The resorts misses from time to time some good management. Nothing is efficiently organised and there are many delays. Communication about the arrival via the boat and the prices can be much better. First the buffet was 30.000, then 45.000 and then, in the end, 40.000. Seems like their price policy is not always correct. Europeans don't like this way of working!

Great rooms and it feels like you have the island to yourself. There's plenty of things to do and some cool animals. The lake is beautiful and there's many view points. The food is great and not expensive like I was expecting.

Located on an ideal makes its an ideal place for relaxation. It gives you a peace of mind with no interruptions like noise while walking around the island viewing zebras, impalas and different bird species. The rates of accommodation are pocket friendly with good service from staff.
