So,
after
a
long
day
at
the
hospital,
plus
a
long
while
of
staying
indoors,
I
decided
to
step
out
into
the
wild
to
see
what’s
new!
Kaazi
Boy
Scouts
Camp
ground
was
my
very
first
choice,
and
I
should
have
known
right
from
the
start,
when
to
stop
and
change
my
mind!
I
remember
this
place
from
years
back.
Growing
up
as
a
boy,
my
elder
siblings
went
here
once
a
year,
and
the
strories
they
brought
back
sounded
a
lot
like
disney's
neverland!
I
decided
to
follow
their
google
map
(which
I
took
right
off
of
their
website
btw),
but
I
was
shocked
to
learn
that
I
had
arrived
at
my
destination,
only
a
few
minutes
into
my
journey!
this
destination
came
when
I
started
to
ascend
muyenga
hill
top.
Only
problem
is,
the
campsite
was
nowhere
to
be
found.
The
phone
number
listed
on
the
website
actually
works,
and
the
gentleman
on
the
other
side
patiently
directed
me
to
their
real
campsite
which
I
found
with
much
ease
after
getting
on
the
expressway!
The
gate
is
manned
by
army
men
in
uniform,
which
I
found
quite
surprising,
but
later
I
learned
that
there
is
a
military
barrack
within
the
vicinity!
Once
inside
the
gate,
I
found
trouble
finding
the
campsite,
as
there
are
no
signposts
around.
As
such
I
ended
up
at
another
beautiful
hotel
with
a
waterfront,
but
no
campground!
When
I
finally
found
the
scouts
campground,
I
was
disappointed
that
it
looked
nothing
like
the
pictures
I
saw
on
the
website.
The
facility
has
been
largely
neglected,
with
most
buildings
resembling
government
funded
secondary
school
dormitories,
if
you
know
what
I
mean.
The
swimming
pool
was
half
full,
and
looked
just
like
a
fish
pond,
the
music
was
out
of
vogue,
and
the
warden
was
nowhere
to
be
found.
Returning
to
Kampala,
utterly
disappointed,
I
ended
up
at
the
hospital
where
I
had
a
patient
waiting,
and
thank
God
for
chance
meetings,
I
met
a
friend
whose
friend
owns
a
waterfront
property
in
bugiri,
Entebbe
road,
and
this
is
where
I
camped
the
night
away!
