8-day-Murchison Falls & Gorille Trekking Safari: This tour really surpasses our expectations of Uganda. This country is definitely the pearl of Africa. Organization: From the first contact to the drop-off at the airport, every detail was well organized by Elias, the owner of Home To Africa and Karim, our guide. We had a very nice call with Carina, the German Customer relations manager of Home To Africa. All of them did a great job and made our trip truly amazing. Uganda: This country is very friendly and safe in our opinion. People were very helpful and grateful, that people come to visit their country. Children waving on the streets. No one tries to scam tourists. We fell in love with Uganda and its natural beauty. Tour: Hot savannah in the north. Cold mountain forests in the south. The tour covers almost the whole diversity of Uganda. Our highlights were the gorillas of the mist in Bwindi, the chimpanzees of Kibale and Murchison Falls national park wildlife. Food and Drinks: We enjoyed a full board service during our trip – breakfast and dinner in the lodges and lunch as a picnic in the national parks. Lodges: We had different standards ranging from comfort to luxury – but all were amazing in their own way. Some convinced with their food, some with exceptional service, others with breathtaking locations. We would return to every single one. Guide: Karim was like a father to us. He made us feel comfortably during the whole tour and made us familiar with Uganda´s culture, food, landscapes and wildlife. Karim was the reason, why we fell in love with this country so much. At the end of our trip we, felt like a little family. Conclusion: This tour is highly recommendable and perfect to get to know the Pearl of Africa. Home To Africa is an amazing tour operator and showed us, that Uganda has a lot more to offer than only its gorillas.

What an incredible holiday! The team at Home to Africa excelled themselves, delivering a tour of the Masai Mara and surrounding area that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. From crossing the Masai plains, to a Hippo-filled boat tour and cycling Hell’s Gate national park, our guide, Ken, took care of us from start to finish, creating a superb itinerary. With plenty of off-roading (great fun, but plenty bumpy!), we managed to see everything, from Hippos to Hyenas, Lion cubs to Leopards. The team had a wealth of knowledge about the animals and the area, which our daughter was able to soak up, whilst enjoying the hospitality of an incredibly welcoming group of people. If you want a private safari that gets you up close and personal with incredible wildlife, whilst soaking up the African culture, we can’t recommend these guys highly enough! This is definitely one for the bucket list.

Home to Africa is an amazing safari company. Karim was an extremely knowledgeable guide and introduced us to Ugandan culture, cuisine, and diverse wildlife. All COVID guidelines were respected, including social distance, masks, etc. Visiting Uganda with Home to Africa is safe. Memorable experience.

I travelled to Kenya and Uganda with Home to Africa and had the best time ever! They are one of the few tour operators who responded quickly and helped clarify the million doubts and questions I had. Since I was travelling solo, safety was something very important and with Charles as my guide in Kenya and Ronald as my guide in Uganda I could not have asked for more. Both the guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. The entire trip was perfect and I got to visit all the places I’ve had on my bucket list in these countries. Would definitely recommend home to Africa to anyone travelling to east Africa. You will not regret it!

Going to Rwanda with Home to Africa safaris was the best decision I could have done. They were very professional at all times and I couldn't feel in better hand during the whole experience. They took care of everything from the beginning and prepared a wonderful itinerary based in what we wanted to see and experience. This is going to be one of the most memorable experiences in my lifetime and Im happy I selected Home to Africa to make it happen

We did the 10 day Pearl of Africa Tour in November 2022 and enjoyed every second of it. We visited both Murchison Falls NP, as well as Queen Elizabeth National Park, did the Chimp and the Gorilla Trekking. The communication with Hedmond beforehand was wonderful and he always answered us promptly. Our guide Benon made it a memory to last and we can highly recommend him to show you beautiful Uganda. He took great care of us and let us have a lot of time with the animals we encountered. We felt safe and very welcome during our entire stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

Myself and three friends booked this trip for April 2020 and have been patiently waiting to reschedule and boy, was it worth the wait! It truly was the trip of a lifetime and Home to Africa were outstanding every step of the way. The email communication we received was second to none and the understanding and flexibility the team provided was truly appreciated. The safari itself was almost overwhelming. The gorilla encounter is something I will never forget and I feel beyond privileged to have experienced it. The guides and accommodation en route have left me feeling very spoilt. Our in country guide, Derrick, was phenomenal. He ensured we had a personalised tour, catered to our specific interests and needs and laced the whole thing with a dose of good humour! Thank you for showing us your beautiful country. I cannot recommend Derrick enough!

We did 13 days tour over Uganda and we made a great choice in selecting Home to Africa for the journey. They were simply perfect. Since the preparation where Hedmond supported us in the overall decision making process to the actual tour where we had our greatest luck to find Derrick as driver. He loves what he does and you can feel it, we had fun, he brought us in wonderful places and always did the extra mile to make us happy. Uganda is amazing, wonderful parks, animals and people will for sure make your trip one of the best of your lives. Definitely recommended Home to Africa and Derrick as guide.

Excellent tour operator. Home to Africa helped me organize a visit to the Volcanoes NP in Rwanda, getting a permit for the Golden Monkeys trek, and organizing the drive from Ruhangeri to the park for me. Easy to communicate with, fast delivery of the permit, and the driver was very punctual and helpful. All in all, recommended if you need help navigating permits in Rwanda.

Me and my partner did the 5 day safari trip with Home to Africa and it was fantastic. It saved us so much time on researching good places to stay, do tours with, places to eat and organising getting from A to B because Home to Africa sorted everything. I found the driving consistently safe and our guide would stop at view points if we wanted to take photos and he had an impressive knowledge of local birds and wildlife which was fantastic. By the end we had a lovely fun friendship with our guide Benon who ate with us for all our meals and was always ready and waiting to pick us up after gorilla/chimp treks. He even negotiated on our behalf if we thought we were being overcharged for things. He was also incredibly dedicated to ensuring we saw all the wildlife on our game drives. I am recommending this trip to everyone.

Our experience with Home to Africa was exceptional. Hedmond in the front office was easy to work with, responding to all our questions and supplying us with numerous suggestions and solutions for our 12 day safari . Our personal guide and driver, Derrick, was excellent. He gave us a wealth of information on the culture, sights, and animals of Uganda. Derrick speaks 7 languages and was able to converse with everyone we encountered. He went above and beyond to make this our very best vacation. Each day was a new experience: visiting national parks, walking in the bush, and taking river boat rides or night game drives. If you intend to visit Uganda, this is the company to contact.

In short, this was the best tour/safari I've ever taken in 20+ years of traveling! We debated different tours/operators, but after completing the '10-Day Tailor-Made Holiday & Tour in Uganda –Big 5 Safari' tour, I can't image there being a better option. From the beginning when we first made contact with 'Home To Africa' to the end of the tour, everything went as smoothly as possible. Communication with the company was excellent and we didn't experience a single issue during our 10-day tour. Everyday was a new adventure and the daily events kept us busy (but we weren't overly rushed). The itinerary was well thought out as it did a good job balancing game drives, boat rides, treks, rest time, eating, shopping and driving between destinations. Our guide for the tour, Amos, was simply outstanding. His vast knowledge of African wildlife and his passion for being in the wilderness is unbeatable, and it really added to our experience in Uganda. He was flexible when needed, but he kept us in line to make sure we stayed on schedule. He kept the conversation going when appropriate, but he would also allow us to enjoy the peacefulness/quietness of the wild. The lodges which were selected for the tour were also top notch. With a mix of tents, lodges and hotels, I feel that we got to experience a nice range of accommodations in Uganda. Not to mention the meals served in these places were of excellent quality. And they provided so much food...hunger was never a concern! All-in-all, I couldn't provide a higher recommendation for this company. Simply put, everything was perfect, and we hope to use 'Home To Africa' once again in the future. Thanks for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Did an amazing 12 day safari in Uganda with HtA (Guide was Brian). Places were preselected by HtA, and our individual changes were considered with no problems. Brian was great Guide, who was fun to travel with and always looked after us. We can recommend him and Home to Africa. Thanks for the amazing experience.

Since the first email I had in contact with Home to Africa, they delivered amazing service and hospitality. Hedmond was always prompt, courteous and thoughtful in his emails as he helped to plan our Ugandan trip. He ensured it met our needs and maximized our time and experience. His suggestions were expert, demonstrating his professionalism and detailed knowledge of how to plan the best trip for each and every customer. He was patient with our constant changes and questions and always responded promptly and clearly. We did a 10-day tailor made trip seeing the gorillas, chimps and golden monkeys. Upon arrival, our guide Eli, was one of the best we've ever had. He was so easy to talk to, friendly and helpful. He worked hard to ensure we were comfortable and made sure our needs were met and was always flexible with our timing and activities. He understood our perspective and was very resourceful and receptive to feedback. He was truly excited to show his country to his guests and his keen interest in meeting new people make him an excellent guide. His enthusiasm and openness made our trip so memorable. Uganda is a beautiful country and we are so glad Home to Africa and Eli made our first visit so enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again with them in the future!

Great company to see the highlights and wildlife in Uganda. My wife and I booked a six day trip with them and everything was super! I did a lot of research into other companies and I am so glad I chose them. Every camp we stayed the night in was great in terms of service and food. If you are looking to see Uganda, ask for Benon, he is an awesome guide. Thanks Home to Africa!

We were travelling as a couple and had Benon as our designated guide. He was careful and very mindful of safety throughout the journey. He was able to advise and provide good options when we were unable to follow our original plan due to road closures etc. He was also great at spotting animals. The vehicle was clean and comfortable for two. As for the communication with the team, it was very responsive, easy and they were always helpful. All the accommodation provided was rather decent, comfortable although the food may have been quite repetitive.

We first had contact with Hedmond when setting up our trip, and he answered all of my questions very quickly and was happy to accommodate my requests. I felt so good about going into our safari and that I was well prepared. We had Karim as our tour guide for our 12 day safari, and he was truly amazing. He knew so many facts about every animal we saw, taught us so much about Uganda, and even taught us some words in Luganda to take back home with us. The experience was beyond incredible, I felt like we were taken care of and Karim was happy to adjust our itinerary to our requests or needs. He was so accommodating, knowledgeable, and he always had a wonderful story to tell. He is an amazing guide and should definitely be requested if visiting Uganda. I can’t recommend Home to Africa enough!
