While driving down to the valley,I felt that I’m diving into lion king animation. The wildlife is pure and untouched. I had a moment of seein' lions hunting here, which I have never had a chance to see it with my own eyes before.

394 km away from kampala. Best time to go lion safari early morning 6.30-7.30 thats when u get to see these wild animals. We wer lucky to see 6 lions at a place on road. Afternoon boat ride u can see many animals come to drink water we wer too lucky to see 40 elephant in one place big herd. 40 usd for park entry .35 usd for east African residence even if u r any other country nationality. For boat ride 30 usd per person. And not to forget u have to pay 100 usd for safari vehicle and 30 usd for vehicle entrance inside park. Food was ok.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most amazing National Parks in Uganda after Murchinson Falls National Park. We went in raining season and the roads were quite muddy and slippery, so it's important to drive a good 4x4. Nevertheless, it's possible to see a variaty of animals. Park is huge and it's divided by diferent parts, on the north-est you can find lions, guepards, bufaloes and hipopotamus; instead in the north-west you can interact with chimps, impalas and a really good views. The central-est it's just for the people who pay for a chimp trekk, and central-west there are different small towns and human live. In south there are Ishasha zone, they say that you can see lions and guepards on the trees but when we arrived it was deluging so we only see a few animals.

It is different experience to stay inside the jungle, government accommodations are budget friendly. Vegetarians carry their groceries and essentials with them. There is a canteen also but very limited options for vegetarians.

This is one of the best national parks in the Pearl of Africa (Uganda). Most of the animals are found in this park. It has a wide range of lodges for accommodation. It is crossed by the equator. It has two lakes. It has a channel. It is in a rift valley. There is alot to see and experience.

Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda is a nature lover's paradise that never fails to impress. Located in the western part of the country, this national park is renowned for its stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and exceptional safari experiences. The park's most prominent feature is the incredible biodiversity it offers. From vast savannah plains to dense forests and sparkling lakes, Queen Elizabeth National Park showcases a range of ecosystems that are home to a remarkable array of flora and fauna. Visitors can expect to encounter iconic African animals such as elephants, lions, buffalos, and giraffes, as well as a multitude of bird species, including the majestic African fish eagle. One of the highlights of a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park is the chance to embark on thrilling game drives. Led by experienced guides, these excursions allow visitors to explore the park's diverse habitats and encounter wildlife up close. Whether it's tracking a pride of lions on the hunt or witnessing a herd of elephants graze peacefully, the park's wildlife sightings are truly awe-inspiring and provide unforgettable memories. Another unique feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park is its location along the Albertine Rift Valley. This results in the presence of the stunning Kazinga Channel, a waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Visitors can take boat safaris along the channel, marveling at the abundance of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife that thrive in and around the water. The boat safaris provide a different perspective and allow for exceptional photographic opportunities. Accommodation options within and around the park are diverse, catering to different budgets and preferences. From luxury lodges overlooking the savannah to cozy campsites surrounded by nature, visitors can find suitable lodging to complement their experience. In summary, Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda is a must-visit destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. Its stunning landscapes, incredible biodiversity, and exceptional safari opportunities make it an unforgettable and enriching experience. Exploring the park's vast expanses, encountering majestic wildlife, and immersing oneself in the beauty of Uganda's natural heritage make for a truly remarkable adventure.

I found the park visit good though I feel these park rates should be subsidized for locals. Also, I didn’t get to see a variety of animals like I did at Kidepo so I was left wanting. The advantage is that there’s more accommodation here outside the park within Katunguru.

The most frequented park in Uganda, but there is a reason why. You'll see plenty of animals, from a close distance if you're lucky. Elephants, buffaloes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, multiple birds, warthogs...

Boat cruise was great for hippos and elephant. Not many animals elsewhere in the park but tree climbing Lions were amazing. Would of been disappointing without the Lions. As we spent 2 days not seeing much.

With several hundreds of bird species, over 20 primate species that include chimpanzees, hundreds of mammals from small to giant elephants and hippos....Queen Elizabeth National Park is Africa's most popular tourist destination. The park has diverse ecosystems, secure and nature sensitive lodges, hospitable staff in all fields...... Visit Uganda. Visit the Pearl of Africa

🤠 It is a lovely park and given it's big size you get to enjoy a proper safari during the game drive and cruise. This gives many opportunities to be surprised by nature. My best experience is when my clients get to see the lions.

The National Park is located in southwestern Uganda. It occupies an area of 764 square miles in a region of rolling plains east of Lake Edward & foothills south of the Rwenzori Mountains. the park is known for its wildlife; among the species are hippopotamuses, elephants, leopards, lions and chimpanzees. It is now home to 95 species of mammals and over 500 species of birds. The park is also famous for its volcanic features, including volcanic cones and deep craters, many with crater lakes, such as the katwe

(Translated by Google) Nature is always incredible. The park is a wildlife sanctuary. To see lions it is good to arrive early. Preferably try to go on warmer days, because on those days the animals are more in sight trying to cool off in the waters. On rainy days like the one I went to, they hide. I recommend taking the boat trip to see the hippos. There are thousands of them on the riverside, it is magnificent. Research the restaurants in the park well so you won't be disappointed. (Original) A natureza é sempre incrível.

Definitely one of the best national parks in Uganda. Never failed to see tons of wildlife on every trip. Lions & elephants are my favourites. The game drives require use a high-chassis vehicle, preferably a 4-wheel-drive.

Spectacular views, they worked on the road in the park and you'd hardly miss seeing some of the big 5 animals on a drive. Very helpful rangers and moderate gate fee's. The afternoon boat cruise at mweya is wow. You can't imagine the birds you see, hippos, crocs and plenty of wildlife taking a bath or refreshing

  • 4/5 Makisa M. 4 years ago on Google
Well park was cool but didn't see much animals. The local guides know more about the park than the park rangers. And the rangers dont tell you about the boat cruises. You wont see much animals after 8am because they hide from the heat n go to the water to cool off. Trust me. Ask for a local guide n ask them about the cruise. P.s. every price is negotiable in Uganda. Be ready to haggle!

Love, love, love. After visiting Queen Elizabeth National park, my outlook on life changed. The serene environment allowed for self reflection and renewed love for nature, such a feeling can only enhance perception of your personal self and those you share your time and life with. There is a wide variety of game to spot and easily found. My 2 year old spotted an elephant. The viewing points are amazing and a number of options of accommodation that will take your breath away. Had a 2 day trip and still did not cover all the activities available. Bit of advise though, the best route home would be through Mbarara!

I stayed 3 days in Queen Elizabeth National Park in November 2019. The landscape of the park is fine and varied; consisting of grassy savannah, bushy savannah, wetlands and forest surrounding, with mounts in the background. The fauna is rich in Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the park, during day safaris, we have seen: - tree-climbing lions, resting in fig trees in Ishasha area and in Euphorbia in Kasenyi plains, to protect themselves against flies. In Kasenyi plains, I did the Uganda carnivore program, whose aim is to monitor et to check this population of lions that is decreasing in number. It was a great and helpful experience, as you participate in lions protection. - leopards - families of elephants - spotted hyenas, black-backed jackals - other mammals, e.g.: many Ugandan kobs, waterbucks, topis, large herds of buffaloes, warthogs… - hippos resting in pools - a lot of beautiful birds During night game drives in the Kasenyi plains with the fantastic and friendly ranger called Lawrence, we were lucky to see leopards, white tailed mongoose and genets. Lawrence is very enthusiastic and he’s always happy to explain you all you’ve ever wanted to know about fauna in Queen Elizabeth national park. Another very interesting area of Queen Elizabeth National Park is Kazinga channel. Here, we’ve done a boat safari, which allowed us to see: - lions coming to drink in the channel - families of elephants enjoying their bath and shower and then takin a mud shower - herds of buffaloes, - hippos - and many beautiful birds Finally, we also tracked the chimps in the beatiful Kyambura gorges. We were lucky, because after 1 hour, we could spend one hour with the group of chimps, following them in the gorges!!! Taken together, I highly recommend to visit Queen Elizabeth National Park

Large National Park, we went here for a community operated Safari experience. Note that there are separate packages, the more expensive ones snow you to go off the main roads and largely increases your chances of seeing animals up close. All for that option. The park hosts a variety of animals including lions, leopards, hippos, and elephants. Note however that you stand a much larger chance of seeing elephants and hippos during the kazinga channel boat tour.

After visiting the serengeti np, this park was a step down. It may have been beautiful once upon a time, and most likely looked better during wet season with less smog. Did not help that smog from crop burning and bush burning ruined the view of this landscape with not a whole lot of game to view other than Ugandan antelopes during dry season. The power lines in many locations made the park appear dystopian and dull Hopefully, the park improves in the future with less pollution. Restrooms for tourists were generally clean, but still recommend bringing your own hand sanitizer.
