We did a 5 days 4 nights tour of Western Uganda with Richard of K-Safaris during the long Easter break of April 2021 with my friends and we could not have been HAPPIER with our choice. Richard’s knowledge & passion for Uganda’s tourism is next to none. He is a very calm, jovial and flexible guide. On setting off from Kampala K-Safaris served the ladies on board with FREE Chocolates and a FREE wine bottle for all of us even though I don’t take wine, drinking water was always on board throughout the trip not forgetting the FREE classy take home water bottles that Richard gave us. I would wholeheartedly recommend K-Safaris to anyone.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Richard on a Gorilla safari recently, which in itself is an amazing experience, but he went beyond the normal duties of a guide (I've spent time with a few). I asked to get off the tourist trail and meet real local people, and eat real local food. He did that for me and by doing so enhanced my African experience with memories I will hold dear for life. He introduced me to local markets, and local tribes, and the places where Africans would go to eat lunch, not the tourists, and for that I am truly grateful, and I will be back for more adventure in the future

We have just has a twelve night safari with Richard from K-Safais in Uganda. It has been a memorable experience. We are retirees and were a little apprensive about how we would cope with the pace on the road and managing in a different environment. Before we left home people who heard of our plans would warn us about security and health issues we would encounter. Let me say now that their ideas were formed without any knowledge. Once we met Richard we knew we were in good hands. He visited us on the evening before we set out and his enthusiasm for showing us his beautiful country and its wildlife was most inspiring. Richard made our trip very interesting and a lot of fun. He anticipated all our needs in a very hospitable way. He focused on giving us an "experience" and he far surpassed all our expectations: entry to national parks, arrival at accommodation, connecting with local communities, answering all our questions were all smoothly and cheerfully achieved. Richard showed us so much wildlife and taught us a lot. He made sure that our trekking experience was manageable and successful! Four wheel driving in Uganda proved to be fun and interesting and mostly quite comfortable. We had a great driver in Richard. I felt that I was watching a spectacular movie from my seat in the vehicle. Now that our holiday is over, I am amazed at the memories we have and very grateful to Richard and K-Safaris. We highly recommend seeing Uganda with K-Safaris and we are confident that anyone who travels with Richard as a Tour Guide will have an amazing experience.

I went on a 4-day safari Uganda Safari to Murchison Falls and Kibale and it was an unforgettable trip of a lifetime. Prior to arriving in Uganda Richard from K-Safaris worked with me to craft a custom experience that fit my interests and budget and then personally took me on the safari when I arrived. During our trip I benefited from Richard's expertise and the relationships he has with locals in the tourism industry. It was clear he is well liked and respected, which helped maximize my experience (e.g., getting favorable guides for treks, better seats, special food requests). I had a schedule change toward the end of my trip that cut the day short but Richard made sure I was able to get to the airport ontime and scheduled my COVID test along the way. Going on safari is a "bucket list" item for many travelers but trying to plan one can feel overwhelming. I feel very fortunate to have been connected with K-Safaris through a Ugandan friend and be able to support local tourism more directly than going through a Western travel agency or resort, not to mention the money that I saved from cutting out the middlemen. More than that though it is because of the genuine hospitality and individual care that I received on this trip that I wholeheartedly recommend K-Safaris for your visit to Uganda (and East Africa at large). I didn't share much here about my actual experience on safari because there are better sources of information than what I can write. I'll just say that I was astounded by the beauty of the country and its people. Excellent. My best tour company so far. My experience, 3-day tour of Murchison Park, falls and the boat cruise was superb and fascinating. Our tour guide pointed out the most significant items and explained their context and meaning. The accommodation was excellent and the meals, superb. Richard(the guide) went to great lengths to provide us with experiences much beyond expectations and we cannot thank him enough. We shall definitely do several more trips with K-Safaris.

I went on a 2-day safari Uganda Safari to Murchison Falls. The safari was well organised as we travelled from Kampala early morning in time for lunch and then an afternoon water cruise along river to bottom of Murchinson falls with plenty of animals to be sighted as they came to river. We then had a evening game drive on the way to Pakwach, with our guide Richard providing us with insight and background of the animals which provided incredible insightful understandings as well as ensuring we had opportunities to watch and take photographs as required. Richard showed he has a true appreciation for animals as he treated the animals with respect they deserve in their environment and ensuring that other traffic were aware as they approached animals and not to make unnecessary noise. We then spent an evening at lodge at Pakwach which as comfortable and provided much needed rest. An early morning rise before the sun rose and as we entered the National Park we were able to see the baboons, elephants and giraffes awakening in morning from their sleep which was quite an experience. We then followed the trails and were able to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes and many others at a very close distance in their natural environment. We also had sighting of several lions prides which we stayed a considerable away from as you can appreciated. Richard ensured that we had our morning breakfast and we could sit and watch the animals coming to watering hole whilst we sat and enjoyed surroundings. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and Richard demonstrated his knowledge of the wilderness and animals as well as looking to preserve the environment and animals. We had a great entertaining time with Richard and two days flew by and so many experiences with animals and also laughter and joy together, I would highly recommend Richard as a safari guide and also to be able to spend time to learn and also to have fun.

We just returned from an incredibly moving trip to see the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. It is an experience hard to describe...exciting and definitely unforgettable. We booked a 4-day gorilla safari package with KSafaris and we had an absolute blast! Our trip started with a pick-up in Kigali and we drove across the border to go trekking with gorillas in Bwindi National Park. Afterwards we spent some time at Lake Bunyonyi, a highlight for sure.
