Murchison Falls National Park Northern Gate (Tangi) is a beautiful natural reserve located in Uganda, known for its picturesque landscapes and stunning wildlife. The entrance to the park is marked by a grand gate, which leads to a well-paved road that winds through the lush greenery of the national park. Along the way, visitors can spot a variety of wildlife species, including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and sometimes even the rare leopard. The vast landscapes of acacia trees and the sparkling Victoria Nile River complement the wildlife and make a stunning backdrop for a trip to the park. One of the highlights of the Northern Gate (Tangi) is the Murchison Falls themselves. A breathtaking sight, the falls boast a thunderous cascade of water that drops over 43 meters into a narrow gorge below. Visitors can take a boat trip along the Nile River to see the falls up close and have a chance to view more wildlife that can be spotted along the riverbanks. The park also offers a range of accommodation options, from camping sites to lodges that cater to a variety of budgets. The lodges offer comfortable and well-appointed rooms, and some of them feature stunningly beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. The park authorities also organize game drives, birding tours, and nature walks, led by knowledgeable guides who provide visitors with valuable insights into the ecosystem and the wildlife found in it. In summary, Murchison Falls National Park Northern Gate (Tangi) is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. The sheer beauty of the landscape, the vast array of wildlife, and the cascading Murchison Falls make for an unforgettable trip. So, pack your bags, bring your camera, and be prepared to make memories that will last a lifetime...Steven Musoke

It's a home for around 250 lions and 100 leopards and many more animals. If you wanna see lions go early in the morning. A trip of Murchison falls, you have 3 main things to do. One the Safari, Second walk to top of the falls and third the boat drive. So if you are scheduling all in one day, first go for safari , then falls , then boat trip. It's always better to pre book the boat drive. Once you take the ticket of the park , it is valid for 24hrs. Every thing is within the Park only.

Most visited national park in Uganda since it’s the oldest and largest. Get to see a well dissected national park by river Nile (world’s longest river). It has both the northern and southern parts with different activities at all. Northern is well known for the game drives and southern part mainly the top of the falls visit. A visit to this park can disappoint you at all as you get to see a number of mammals and also enjoy a cruise along the longest river in the world. The park has all types of accommodations too from budget, midrange and luxury.

Visit this magnificent place and witness God's wonders of nature. The view of this place is spectacular. The deafening sound of the whirling waters squeezing itself through a narrow gorge is mesmerising. On the other hand, don't expect to be online here or attempt to make any call because there's no network given the fact that the falls are in the middle of Murchison falls National Park.

The best gate if you want to do safary in Murchinson Falls National Park. This gate is the nearest entrance from the part where are most of the animals.

Looking forward to see game? Be prepared to be blown away! What do you need? A good tourist vehicle, a guide, and time. Spent 1 day on a park drive and was satisfied. Looking forward to having atleast 2 days and would like to see the big cats.

We simply drove through the park as we traveled back to Kampala. We were able to see quite a bit of game just from the main road.

Weather-wise, Murchison Falls has something to offer all year round. The dry season from June to August and December to March offer the best wildlife viewing. Paraa Safari Lodge is the amazing 😍🀩 Lodge in the Beautiful ❀️ Murchison Falls National Park.

It was a thrilling experience from Tangi gate to Paraa. However because of the hour of the day I didn't see much of the game. They're seen in big numbers early in the morning and late in the evening when it's not hot. I saw elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes of many kinds and baboons to mention. Next time I intend to reach the falls and at a later time the delta.
