Bush Baby Lodge is a truly wonderfully serene place. Once you get there, you completely switch from the hustle and bustle to the refreshing tranquility. You truly feel at one with nature, and it was the first time that we actually got to know what forest bathing actually means! We went with our two kids and they were excited about the prospect of going there. They (and we) were not disappointed in the slightest. Alice and Neil are wonderful hosts, and their staff (and dogs!) are very friendly, welcoming and responsive. For the farm and forest tours, Isaac is extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything very clearly so that even kids held their interest during the tours. His ability to tell which type of snake is in the vicinity is amazing, although we didn't get to see that put into practice! You definitely learn a lot from the experience. Highly recommended for family getaways or any other sorts of retreats.

I had an awesome and fun time. The cycling was awesome, horse back riding even better πŸ‘Œ πŸ˜„ but overall it was a great experience camping. I think the only rsn that made me almost give 4 stars..is because I know that they can increase on the number of fun activities 2 do.

Bushbaby lodge is a very serene place. It is beautifully secluded in a spacious natural habitat, giving you a memorable encounter with its flora and fauna. Alice and Neil are gracious hosts and provide knowledge about the area. I highly recommend it for family getaways and organizational retreats.

Bushbaby Lodge is a paradise- went on a whim for the weekend but we are so glad we did. I cannot do justice to the beauty of the location- it's lush and tropical, surrounded by forests with birds, monkeys, avocado, banana, and guava. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and Alice, Neil and their staff are so welcoming and lovely hosts. We even did horseback riding through a guava grove, picking fresh guava from the trees. We're thinking of returning for a team retreat next year! Thank you!

Comfortable, accommodating and the most delicious bread! Upon arriving you're greeted by a group of dogs as happy to see you as their owners. The owners of bushbaby are the most wonderful hosts, and before you know it you'll have stayed up all night chatting by the camp fire with them. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. Lawrence is so attentive and Isaac such an amazing activity guide, taking you riding, or just for a walk in the forest, either way you'll definitely learn something knew about the birds, trees and all the wildlife in the area. Bushbaby is a must stay, not too far out of Kampala to make for a pretty perfect getaway, either on you own, or with a some friends.

Aftter a long... bumpy journey ... what a serene and beautiful place !! We arrived during a rainy night .... past 12am but met at our car with umbrellas, offers for coffee /tea and whatever we needed for the night!! The ground dogs .... πŸ• sooo cute and comforting for my 2 sons !! No tv or Internet ( though available in sitting/ dining area) in the rooms , but i believe this is intentional......because you only going to the room to sleep, right? ! Anyways ... breakfast was trully a treat, pancakes, full english, smoothie, whatever tickles your fancy,!! The fire place in the evening!! Sigh... trully amazing and venue managers available to answer andy queries. Had the most fantastic trip , Thank you for your hospitality πŸ’™

Worst hotel in Uganda, Run, Run, DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL!!! There are cheats / Scammers / Thieves in this place, that claim to work in this place! They demand money from customers ahead of time, and when you contact them, they claim they don't work there after scanning a customer's hotel fees! They have done this several times. There's a woman that claims to be the owner, this woman is so rude, cruel, horrible and very unprofessional on the phone! Be careful, the hotel has several people with different numbers that clam to be managers! This hotel contains the highest number of scammers in Uganda, this hotel needs to be exposed to the world! People writing good comments here are relatives and employees. RUN, RUN, RUN, NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL FULL OF UGANDA SCAMMERS! THEY DESERVE A ZERO/ NO STAR AT ALL! Worst rooms ever, filthy, smelly rooms with no air conditioning, too close to each other, no privacy at all! Get ready for the distance from anywhere in Uganda, the place is too far, found in a smelly & toxic forest full of wild disgusting dangerous and poisonous creatures! food's so bad and overpriced, lots of flies, mosquitoes, dusty in this place! Watch out for malaria, sinuses and allergies. generally, this is the worst hotel in Uganda! NEVER, NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL, I HAVE BEEN LEAVING & DOING RESEARCH IN THIS AREA FOR A WHILE, WORST PLACE EVER!

We loved our weekend at Bushbaby Lodge. The place is a paradise, at only 1H30 from Kampala. The team is super friendly and ready to help all the time. The food at the restaurant was a delightful surprise with many vegetarian options. The people that come to the lodge are looking for a calm weekend too so you can really take a break from the noise and the mess of the capital. Our room in particular was a bit far from the main area and the road to get there did not have lighting , but someone took us way and back every time. We will absolutely come back! :-)

We had an excellent, interesting stay. It is very relaxing after Kampala. The food is good and the staff is very helpful. The showers worked well, and the beds complete with mosquito netting were comfortable. I enjoyed the rainforest walk to see birds and the farm tour. The guide is knowledgeable. There is free WiFi .

We've stayed at five different lodges across Uganda and have spent more time @ Bushbaby than all the other four combined. While all of the lodges that we've we've stayed have been adequate, here are the features of Bushbaby that stand out for us: - Proximity to Kampala: ~1 - 1.5 hours from Nagura - Helpful staff that is more than accommodating - Friendly owners (Neil and Alice) that support the local community - Schooling program for the kids - Lots of activities: horseback riding, night walks that involve calling-in wildlife, campfires, picnics @ Banda Hill, piggery/cow milking tours, trips to Ssezibwa Falls - Room accommodations: daily cleaning that ensures sheets and facilities are clean, ample hot water, enough beds to easily accommodate an entire family, staffing quarters - Numerous lodging options: on-site housing, camping, eating on-site, option to bring your own cook - Fast Wifi that has less latency than much of Kampala We are fortunate to have found Bushbaby and are already looking forward to our next visit! Pro tip: there is pork joint as soon as you turn onto the dirt road that is worth checking out as well.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place! Dog friendly, kid friendly, so many animals and birds and beautiful walks. My kids went horseback riding and milked cows climbed guava trees... just the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday place. And the owners and staff made my kids and I feel right at home. I highly recommend an extra long vacation at Bushbaby!

One of my favourite place to be in Uganda, for those who would love to stay away from a noisy and hectic city life for one two or even more days,, bushbaby is one he'll of a place to be, you can never run out of activities eg. Horseback riding, nature walk, bird watching, farm walk and so many more, play ground for the child, yoga and massage too, and is quit and piece full than any other. Also they got the best meal, most of their vegetables they grow it by themselves.
