This is a great open market to buy all sorts of fruits and vegetables at great prices. Prices vary wildly so look around for the right price and good quality. They tend to charge a bit more for foreigners. Be very very very careful as the place is flooded with pickpockets. Do not carry any important documents with you. Also bargain a little, but the rule is once you start bargaining, you will eventually buy .

This is the best shopping market for fresh fruits, vegetables and fresh foods. There is a variety and quality fresh foods from different parts of the country. Tho one of the challenges is parking. There is limited parking space and too much traffic.

Nakasero food market is the right choice for your need for fresh and cheap foods. The place is full of variety of food staffs and prices. However the prices are cheaper the earlier you visit the market, as time passes by, the prices keep on increasing. This is due to the fact that farmers bring their produces to the market in the night so when you visit early, you find them still selling and you will have a chance to buy as a food trader but when they leave the market at around 9am, prices may double or sometimes triple. There is congestion at all times though very congested ealier in the mornings since farmers are still around and trucks that offload and load staffs continuesly carry on their normal work. The market is full of fresh organic and non organic food products both local and international products can be found in the market. I would advise you to negotiate prices not to pay exactly what they ask for.. reduce the price as you negotiate to about 30% less the prices they ask you.. I always look forward to returning

Not as congested as St Balikudembe market, Nakasero market has a variety of products like vegitables, meat, chicken for both whole salers and retailers. It also has small restaurants where one can grab a quick bite. There are also people who can carry your shoppings in case u buy in large quantities for a small fee..

The oldest market in Uganda where you will find all your fresh food needs. Best time to visit this market is after midnight when the supplies are just arriving.

It has all kinds of fruits and vegetables like, water merons, apples, mangoes, oranges, pawpaws, berries, avocadoes, mangoes, yellow bananas, dates, olives, junk fruits, passion fruits, cucamber, cabbages, all types of greens among others. If you are a vegetarian, this is the right shopping place for your kitchen. Though it has limited to no parking space so i recommend leaving your car at Uganda House and Cham towers.

If considering shopping in this market, don't carry many personal items on you. All you need is a phone and wallet. However, you will be availed with great variety of fruits, fresh foods and spices. A lot more is available depending on your shopping needs. Fresh stuffs come in everyday and the customer turn up is high... this means what's on stalls is new product almost daily

This is the most crowded marketing in Kampala especially during early morning hours. Also it the only place where you can find your favorite fresh foods, vegetables, etc straight from the garden farmers bring their products to this marketing for trading. But also pick pocketers are like this area since it is so crowded but personally i recommend it to people who like fresh foods, and for people who like fresh cheap foods this is the place.

Uganda is well known for agricultural products especially food items. So Nakasero market in Kampala city is one of the best shopping markets for all the fresh products like food and fruits. The prices for these products are affordable as your given as per your purchasing power for any fresh products. No need to drive into anyone’s garden for a fresh food product but just visit this market which is centrally located in Uganda’s capital city.
