Very good place to do your shopping for a variety of goods and services. Good customer service from a number of vendors. The vendors who use to sell goods at the market parking lot and walkways are no more followings a directive from the Gulu City Council (GCC) authority to keep the city clean and green; hawkers and other vendors have been relocated to sell from either inside the Gulu main market and/or other surrounding gazetted market in the Gulu City area. This therefore means no late night shopping beyond 9 pm!

A very large market where you can find everything and anything from spices to clothing. It's a challenge to find a true XXL shirt or shoes over size 45. God is good all the time.

This is a good place to find local food stuffs, cooked and fresh produce. Many people if not all speak atleast 3 languages. Acholi, English and Luganda. Acholi and English is common and well spoken.

Gulu Main Market is a modern Market comprising majority of things one would want to buy: All kinds of food-stuffs, fruits, clothes, bags and shoes; both brand new & secondhand ones, saloons, mini-restaurants, cosmetic shops, etc are found in Gulu Market located right at the Heart of Gulu City in Laroo Division.. Much as the Main Market is closed officially by about 8pm in the evening, Gulu Main Market compound is filled with vendors that always sell majorly Fruits and food-stuffs, until about 9-10pm in the 🌃 night which comes in handy for the working class who normally leave work place late

Very large market. It is exciting but at the same time it is too crowded with so many vendors. It is not very well organised all kinds of items you get there. I don't like that they are selling fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, all others in the same place. The market smells odd and ful fish and meat odours. It is better to sell clothes and food items in separate places and not the way it is today. They have dresses and women, children outfits in the same places. As a newcomer, you have to go there several times to master the shops otherwise it is easy to get lost cause there is no marking of which item finding it. But overall a good place where you find everything, I mean literally you het anything.

Gulu is a place of wonders. Their market shares the same reputation. A clean, organized busy space filled with commercial noise. It is a must-visit destination for first timers and a frequented spot for the regulars.

You can get a variety of items there however I hated the fact that it's so dark in there. There shd be lights and more natural lights inlets. Overall fair service

Well built facility with ample parking space. However, the place lacks a cold room for horticultural products storage. Sanitation services require improvement

Gulu Main Market has been transformed greatly in to a standard market. I last visited in 2002 by then most of the infrastructures were still temporary and local...Now you can visit Gulu Main market I guarantee you will have a great time shopping around.

Best place to find local/indigenous dish recipes/ spices and fresh food too. English is best for foreigners while the majority speak Acholi or Swahili... Due to COVID-19 amask would be advised

The place is a modern market built for accommodate a range of goods especially agricultural goods cereals, flour, vegetables can be bought at competitive prices..... However sanitation is still a challenge and needs improvement. Access road to the market are in excellent condition. And the occupancy of the market is high.

Yesterday i went to this market while i visited to Gulu wuth family... I reached around 5pm and it starts to closing at 6pm.... So as we entered inside i was surprised as its huge place with small shops.... Everything you can buy at very reasonable price... Yes, you have to negotiate alot ( generally i dont negotiate at small shops, they are always better price rather than big malls and shopping showrooms ) So as i said i was surprised with the market. I saw dresses beautifully stitched, with tinkling beads and shiny material🥰 I liked those scandals and bags but sandal couldn't fit to me as rarely you fimd size 38 or smaller🤪 still i loved bag collection all copy bags are there if you can't afford the original of high end brands... Me, i bought a black bag of CHANEL of course a copy... But more satisfied with quality and Price 🤩😍 i m not a fan of branded things but i love quality things in budget... Because i like new things always (i can change easily)... I bought earrings 3 pairs... I always like ornaments to enhance appearance of mine so ugx 5k each earrings ❤️ which stole my heart❤️ i saw beautiful beads necklace of price ugx 60k and i didn't bought it... It was not in my budget 😂😂 but i was so happy when i wore it at the shop🥰 You can see grocery, vegetables, fruit's, tea, sugar, beans, craft's, synthetic material, shoes, all girlish items, fish baked one and many more...... 🌹must visit the market while visiting to Gulu.... Where is lot of things to purchase... Plastics, Crockery, Cups, Mugs and plates so without any hasitation you can plan... Smell, yes little stink is there because of fish... Overall for me i liked it🌹❤️🥰happy shopping

A good place to go shopping for almost anything you want. Recently roadside vendors have been chased away to provide space for parking and the place looks better. The elephant 🐘 statue Infront is a symbol of the Acoli people - strong and resilient.

😐 Good supermarket for almost all you want. The only problem here is that they are slow when it comes to the payment point. Sometimes payment with credit card takes long. Be ready to line up for sometimes. The cashiers are gentle though seemed over worked and overwhelmed.
