One of the beautiful and peaceful place in Ujjain. Evening Aarti is so amazing near to the river. A sacred river in Hinduism. No ticket system. Entry is free. Located near Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Mandir. There you can spend the whole day.

Best time to visit is in the evening after 6 In the evening around 7.00pm there is a Shipra aarti which is one of the best thing to experience. You will feel very happy n will enjoy the aarti. There are many small mandir and shiv ling on the ghat. You can also enjoy sitting there as it's peacefull. Must visit place As we know ujjain city is situated on the bank of river shipra. The beauty of the ghat is maintain & it is quite clean. Most of the time this ghat is crowded because before the darshan of mahakaal most of the people take bath here but for women in this ghat there is very limited service is available like only a few changing room is available. Restroom is also very bad literally very bad in condition, very dirty & unhygienic so i think this is the main drawback of this ghat.

Shipra river is a divine river in which you have to take a dip before visiting mahakaleshwar . You can walk in and have a dip in river , there are police personnel to look after people not to go deep in water. Changing room on ghat is available only a small cabin.

This place is called Ram Ghat. Here also everyday in the evening around 7pm aarti is done. The people gather here in the aarti, aarti is done to provide their gratitude for the river. Nice place to spend your early evening in Ujjain. Here you can attend the aarti & then you can move for Mahakaleshwar darshan & Mahalok Corridor visit. One of the must go place in Ujjain itinerary.

The Shipra River, also known as the Kshipra River, is a significant river in central India. It originates in the Vindhya Range near the city of Dhar in Madhya Pradesh and flows through the Malwa region, eventually joining the Chambal River in Rajasthan. The river holds immense religious and cultural importance, particularly for Hindus, as it is closely associated with the Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. The map of the Shipra River showcases its course, highlighting key cities and towns it passes through. It provides a clear representation of the river's path, enabling users to understand its flow and the areas it traverses. The map also indicates important landmarks and pilgrimage sites located along the river, such as Ujjain, a holy city for Hindus, where the Kumbh Mela takes place. The Shipra River map is beneficial for tourists and pilgrims planning a visit to the region. It helps in identifying the major towns and cities near the river, aiding travelers in organizing their itineraries and exploring the surrounding areas. Additionally, the map may include information about the various ghats (riverfront steps) along the river, which hold religious significance and are frequented by devotees for ritual bathing. Furthermore, the map could highlight environmental aspects of the river, such as its tributaries, reservoirs, and potential conservation areas. This information would be valuable for researchers, environmentalists, and policymakers involved in managing and protecting the river's ecosystem. In conclusion, the Shipra River map offers a comprehensive overview of the river's course, highlighting significant towns, religious sites, and environmental features. It serves as a valuable tool for tourists, pilgrims, researchers, and policymakers, facilitating a better understanding and appreciation of the river and its surroundings.

The Shipra River in Ujjain holds deep spiritual and cultural significance, closely intertwined with the rituals and traditions of the Mahakal Temple. Its serene beauty and historical importance make it an essential part of the pilgrimage experience for visitors to Ujjain. However, efforts to address environmental concerns are essential to preserve its sanctity for future generations.

The river rises in the kakri bardi hills Vindhya Range north of Dhar, and flows north across the Malwa Plateau to join the Chambal River. This river is 195km long, out of which 93km flow through Ujjain. The word Shipra is used as a symbol of “purity” , purity of soul, emotions, body...It is one of the sacred rivers in Hinduism. The holy city of Ujjain is situated on its east bank. Every 12 years, the Sinhastha fair (Kumbh Mela) takes place on the city's elaborate riverside ghats, as do yearly celebrations of the river goddess Kshipra... Nice place for spending time in evening also...

This Ghat is opposite to Ramghat, the most holiest place in Ujjain after Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling. Many in-numerous believes are there for ramghat. Bathing place for pilgrims. People pray to almighty God here. There is Ma Kshipra aarti occurs every evening like the Ganga aarti of Haridwar and Varanasi. But apart from it, everyone should visit here. The vibes u feel will be totally different. Ramghat is situated on the bank of holy river Kshipra. All the ghats are clean. And Ramghat is top of it. There are so many temples situated at both the sides of river. All the time you can listen to holy chants in nature surroundings. Now a days government also started cruise and pedal boats for tourists. So what more can you feel here, beautiful serene view with positive vibes. Easily accessible from every corner of Ujjain. Direct road connectivity for outsiders. 2-3 kms from railway station and main bus stand. 5 kms from nanakheda bus stand. 60 kms from Indore airport.

Shipra river flows in the city of Ujjain close to Harsiddhi temple and Lord Mahakal. Pilgrimage take a holy dip in Ramghat and offer prayers to Shipra river. Don't miss the evening arti at Ramghat - special Pooja and prayers offered to the river by the templ priests. The rhythmic moves, drums, bells, chants takes us to different spiritual vibes.

Water was no flowing so not so clean, proper maintenance is required. Thought of taking a dip but water was not so good so didn't had a dip. Otherwise Aarti was good to watch, they are maintaining the ritual properly, after sunset it will start, eye feast to watch it.

The Ghat Is Very Near And Tidy. Seperate Temporary Rooms Available For Changing Clothes For Women It's Free. The Holy River Is Fine And Cold Water Which Feels Like A Dream Come True. One Minus Point The Water Was Very Green And Stinky.

The ghats aren't clean enough. The steps are slippery and lots of algea are present. No measure of safety. The river is also stagnant. But you don't need to think much and just make quick dives and get out of the water asap. A bath at your place of stay after river bath is recommended.

Dirty river not even to step in, when more number of pilgrims are visiting and take a dip, the cleanliness is to be considered. I hope the local bodies will take some action to maintain.
