Located on 1st floor in the bylanes of Ujjain very near to the Mahakaal temple 🙏 Nice food with unlimited thali option. Must try once if you are near the temple. Few items were good few could be better. Hygiene was not upto the standards. One thali per person is a must and then you can order unlimited food. This is a trend in Madhya Pradesh at most places. Their Daal was the best with Gatte ki sabji.

Hi guys.. Visited Ujjain for darshan of Mahakal.. For lunch visited this place. They serve thali system also have separate dishes menu.. Regarding food it was best veg thali we ever had.. Simple home cooked food feeling.. For 180 rupees, they have thali also ahe 2-3 option in thali that is unlimited like roti, rice dal bhaji its unlimited. Sweet raita salad papad is limited served only 1 time. The quality of the food was awesome, the bhaji dal rice roti was really good and filled our heart more than stomach. You should really try there raita I really liked it very much.. Overall I recommend this place for lunch it is near to mandir on 1st floor. Food - 10/10.

Highly over rated below average food and service quality. Below average staff behaviour, food quality and unprofessional. And the funny past was, no water in the tap for hand wash! There are plenty of other restaurants available around Sri Mahakal temple with highest quality of food, best price and hygiene. One star is for food price only! Will strongly not recommend this restaurant!!!!!

Its on first floor but worth the trouble. We ordered individual items with 1 bafla just to have a taste of it. Tasted well. Overall ambience was good. Serving was prompt and quick.

Worst ever thali I ever had at such a high price. It's just a hype of Damruwala. You can get best thali somewhere else at low price. Again price is not a matter if you give good quality food.

Good food, staff was very helpful and not too long waiting time, food was served quickly. Taste was good but as they don’t have facility for lift elders of our group had problems to climb as it’s on first floor. A decent place to have stomach full local food. We tried daal bafna thali and it was really yummy. I guess they serve unlimited food per person but we didn’t have that much capacity to eat so we were full with first serving itself.

It is around 150 meter of baba Mahakal temple. The most famous dish of here is dal bafla , a type of Malwa cuisine,it consists bafla, made of coarse wheat flour, dal, kadhi, gatte ki sabji, achar, chatni, laddu, chhachh, price 180rs plate in April 2022. At damruwala u will find a balance taste of this dish not very spicy at all but filling. Must try once I will give this dish 7 out of 10. Thanks. Everything is just too good here. They have thali options only which in my view is good, as they keep limited items but quality is very good. We ordered their normal thali and bati thali as well. The service is prompt, most of the things are unlimited and even if you need anything extra (which is chargable) their prices are low. I loved their service, everything was quick. Taste of everyitem be it dal, bati, gotta sabji, raita everything was good.

The place is slightly overhyped. What else do you expect me to say if they are going to serve me "Lauki ki sabji" with not a string of innovation in it (I've eaten Karele ki sabjii at places but they fundamentally altered the usual taste such that I really fell for it. But not here). But it's not a downvote. Just that it doesn't stack up to expectations. It's hygienic and basic stuff. And the best part is the price. At 180 Rupees which is the priciest thali (thali is all that they serve), it's heaven for people on a tight budget. And it's 'all you can eat'. Go there if you are not too particular about taste. The taste is ok. No great shakes really. But it's decent. It'd satiate your hunger. And many times that's all you actually need. I have noticed that the food culture in Ujjain is a bit lukewarm.

Amazing and authentic Malwani Taste and reasonably priced. If you are looking to try some local food, their thalis would surely meet your expectations... entire preparation is in desi ghee and thalis are unlimited in nature... The place has no air conditioning though they do have coolers...

Good place to eat properly, the only thing i didn't like was that they only served unlimited and fixed dishes, instead of selling separately.

This restaurant is an alley just opposite mahakal mandir. Famous for its daal bafla thali. We order the dal bafla thali, sev bhaji and kadi khichdi. The food was good and tasted home like. They claimed that they bafle were made in pure ghee. The waiters were well behaved and also xplained us how to eat the bafla mixing the lasan and pudina chutney along with daal gatte ki sabji and kadhi

Good food with reasonable price. Thali is very good option here but one can order A la carte as well. One of the most sought eating place here just near mahakaleshwar temple.

Decent place for tourists at Ujjain to try Bafla. This restaurant is situated very close to ujjain Mahakal temple and is on first floor of a building and there is no lift, so one has to walk to this restaurant. Went for lunch in this restaurant and ordered Bafla thali. Not all items that are served in thali are unlimited. For Rs 180 i think the thali is overpriced. The waiters were quick to take orders and serve the food. Ambience is ok. For travel/food pictures and information plz follow my insta account. Insta id: @shenoypradeep

Its totally worthless restaurant from the thali perspective. I dont know how people are giving it good ratings. Cold papad (Requested 3 times to replace it and even after that served cold), bad rotis (poured dalda and oil on the rotis in the name of desi ghee) In addition there is no taste at all. All the food was too oily, except kadhi and that too was not good at all. And over that its too expensive, I expected a decent good thali in prices of 180 and 160. there are lot better restaurants this. Don't go in there. If you really want to eat a thali, Go to other restaurants . they are cheaper than this and must be lot better, Go to marwari bhojnalaya near ujjain Railway station , it has best food in very reasonable prices.

Wonderful 😋👌 Best gujarati sabji in ujjain. Teste is really delicious, cleaning and service is good. They also serve "FARALI DISH" for fast people (upvas) and it's kind of big deal that you can find farali dish in any hotel. Price of food is quite normal. More spacific Suggesting this place to people who coming from Gujarat.

As the name says, they will play Damru of you.. That's the kind of attitude they have towards their customer. Awful experience with ZERO Service Quality and NIL customer satisfaction. With this attitude, they are leading to nowhere. And even after this review, you are going there, you are welcome to Google for another 1 star review..

It's on first floor in the mahakaal street in ujjain. We tried poori thali, poori were fried in shuddh ghee and they were delicious, sabji and raita were okayish. Aamras was delicious. We also tried aloo Paratha. It was okay. Overall it was a good experience but service could have been better and faster.
