Traditional food.... Best place to have typical traditional tasty dal with very soft bafla... Along with dal bafle they serve chaach and paan too... Which is very tasty too...

We had lunch here from ala carte. We ordered bhindi masala, Shai paneer roti and butter milk. Food portion and quantity was quite good. Ambience in day time is average, though no idea for evening time.. I just want to suggest them for a quick service.. Else all good.

Desi style restaurant, must try dal Bafla thali here. Price is 200 rs per thali, it might sound expensive but it is not. Thali includes, Dal Bafla, rice, chapati, kadi, aloo sabji, red garlic chutney, green chutney, papad, salad, chach, laddoo and also paan. It is more than enough for one person. They won't let you share thali with another person. Now let's talk about taste. Taste is finger licking. Mix Bafla with daal and take bites one by one with red chutney, green chutney and aloo sabji one by one, tounge will scream oh yes oh yes each time. Ambience is average. Come here at lunchtime and dinnertime. Apart from these timings you may not be served fresh food. Overall must try once

Good food with multi cuisine

The plate design was unique and good! Nice to segregate main food with the side. The buttermilk is good. Unlimited thali with local cuisine. Dal was watery. Curd was sour. Less items. Potato subzi & dal batti very oily. Nothing special here. Very ordinary.

Average place and average food.Nothing special...just a hype created...went for dinner and were served unfresh food...may be the prepare in the morning...so you wont get fresh at night... just stay away... dont get fooled by the name...

They only give thali option for lunch and allow only one person per thali which may lead to food wastage. The quantity of thali items are unlimited only drawback is not providing with other options to eat.

Amazing food and on top of that the staff was so hospitable. They served with so much love, I really felt welcomed here. We ordered the baffla thali. Baffla is a local delicacy that I had never tasted before. It is to be had with daal and it was delicious. The rotis were hot and fresh off the tava. Definitely a great place for lunch if you are in the area.

Rs. 130 unlimited food option but not worthy and healthy better eat paying little more somewhere else or free meals by the temple.

Govindam is on the way and near to Mangalnath temple. Good in the vicinity as it is little outside of the city. There are not much options near mangalnath but it's good . Good for Daal Bafle.

I am not the fan of dal bafla or dal batti, it was ok. There is nothing other than dal bafla, rice, roti, and sabji (no options available in sabji, whatever they make you have to eat) fal bafla is their specialty. There price of the thali is 180 rs and no ala carte food is available.

It is a pure-veg and Jain restaurant. The vibes are fresh and nice as it is in an open space. Loved the food and the price was very normal.

Dal bafla and ladoos are good, they distroy their epic red chutney and added papad and roti in menu and salad only had Onion's, dont know why they did so. Somewhere they are loosing their image of best dalbafle in Ujjain. Also there promises is a temporary construction tin shead in 40c temperature it feels like eating in hell.

Shree Govindam Restaurant is located near Sandipani ashram at mangalnath road. It's good place to dine in specially for Dal-baati thali. For 200 rupees you will get that shahi dal-baati thali. Taste is good, quite ventilated in summers, good parking space.
