Chhena dahiwada is India's best. Puri sabji quality has deteriorated. Unhygienic atmosphere. Unhygienic staff. Service needs reform.

*local hidden gem alert, super hygienic* You will hardly find many tourists here. I only saw locals going in and out with me being the odd one out 😂 Famous for : puris made in Desi ghee ( absolutely true) Aalo ki sabji and methi ki sabji. The only place where I have seen methi being sweet. Very friendly staff and the guy at the reception is very humble.. I ate 7puris, two servings of raita. Was full for atleast 4hrs after that!!!!

Decent place in the bylanes of Ujjain, close to the Dwarakadhish temple. Went here on a Sunday evening and there wasn't any crowd. Tried the Puri thali, which was good. It came with 5 subji/ sides that can be refilled again and again. The Makkhan vada was too big and sweet for our taste.

The sabji in Puri Sabji seemed watery but the taste was too good. We also tried other sweets and among them was the Makhkhan Vada which was time freezing and I couldn’t stop myself from eating it, the Makhkhan Vada and Gulabjamun are must try and also the Puri sabji. They start serving the Puri sabji at 9AM. Even if you don’t find this place crowded, the taste will still be good.

I try today most awaited from my to do eat list Puri sabji platter at bholaguru & sons . Taste is too good if you want to eat bhandare style Puri sabji than you are at right place . In just 130 rupees platter you get 2 sabji 5 Puri , besan chutni and Bundi Raita you can add sabji twice thrice as per your need it inclusive but if you want to Puri and Raita that cost you 15 and 12 rupees consequently. I try here Rabdi gulab jamun in desert. Sweets are also good taste . I like thier Rabdi.

Bholaguru and Sons Restaurant is a culinary gem where every dish is prepared in ghee, resulting in a rich and incredibly delicious dining experience. From the sabjis to the raita and pooris, every item served was a mouthwatering delight that left me craving for more. The flavors and aromas of the food at Bholaguru and Sons were exceptional. The generous use of ghee added a unique depth and richness to each dish, elevating the taste to another level. Whether it was the perfectly spiced sabjis or the delectable raita, every bite was a true indulgence. What makes this restaurant even more appealing is its reasonable pricing. Despite the high-quality ingredients and the rich flavors, the cost per dish is quite reasonable, making it a great value for the culinary experience it offers. Every rupee spent here is well worth it. If you're a fan of delectable food prepared with ghee, Bholaguru and Sons Restaurant is a must-visit. Prepare yourself for a flavor-packed journey where each dish is a delightful experience, all at a price that won't break the bank.

Superb food....In other restaurants we are getting only dal fry which made in oil.... pricing Rs.150 approx, while here we are getting complete food with satisfaction, which made in pure Ghee in just Rs.110/-. Very low price... getting best food ..

This is again another old shop. Quite famous for is Makhan Bada and Poori with Aloo curry. Gets quite busy but you get served hot pooris fried in desi ghee for exclusivity 5 Pooris were served with two curries and raita. It is more of an experience. The curry was hot and spicy and tasty too though in spite of being watery. Found typical of Ujjain in most places. Makhan Bada was really awesome. It just melted and was simply an awesome moment. Missed the Mango kalakand as it was over but the regular kalakand was equally good and tasty. Did not try thier Moong dal halwa given it was summer and hot weather throughout the day.

This was really a great find. A small shop in some small street... but the food was awesome. The puris were made in ghee and tasted superb. The sweets were so so good. Especially the rabdi. Definitely the best rabdi we've ever had. Better than the ones in indore as well. The malpua was very good too. Another very interesting good item was Chenna dahibada... that was very very tasty as well and unlike anything we've had before. The staff were all friendly and nice. The owner was very friendly as well. They even sent someone to look for us when we left our bag in the restaurant by mistake Overall, a great experience. Well Definitely visit whenever we come to ujjain

A variety of things that blends into a lovey meal. It is not easy for a restaurant to survive with one dish for a hundred years. This itself means a lot. The chutney, raitha, sabji, saag with freshly made whole wheat puris is one tasty and wholesome meal. The various side dishes offer very different mouth feel and temperature giving every mouthful a nice well rounded experience. Simplicity is really not easy to achieve. The Badusha, and other sweets are also good and tasty.

It's a good place to have poori thali which includes 5 rotis , potato curry , sweet pumpkin curry and sweet curd with boondi . I would rather say this is overpriced at this rate as they would be charging rs 130 for this dish and rs 15 for every extra roti and rs 12 for every extra bowl of curd. but considering that poori is fried in ghee gives it a thumps up. It's not in walking distance from the temple you would rather take a rickshaw to reach here.

Great food, love to visit this place. Nice Puri sabji combo. Their sweets are awesome, gulab jamun, malpua, Balu Shahi is famous here. Very reasonable place to eat in Ujjain. Online payment options are available here.

Sweet options are really good at this shop. You can have some unique sweet here. One of the best sweet shop near Mahakal. They also serve hot piping authentic Puru bhaji thali. Moong Dal halwa was amazing, must recommended to try here. Staff seems to be little busy and unresponsive some time

Very nice and tasty 5 पूरी+ भाजी served for 120 Rs, they charge 12 Rs for extra poori or raita, their shrikhnad, kalakand and gulabjamun were tasty, ambiance is very ordinary and not for those who seek hygiene place

Food tastes good if you are silent food lover. Not recommended if you are spicy food lover. Fresh Ghee puries are bang on with udad dal ladoos.

Please avoid this place. Completely overrated place. The famous Puri Bhaji is very ok ok. The staff is arrogant not at all customer friendly. Don’t provide any pickle or condiments with their main dish Puri-Bhaji. Even asking about it irritates them.

Legendary Sabji Pori and Legendary location, taste surpasses your expectations and a plate before empty stomach is a best combination after the marvelous Darshan of Mahakal ke Raja. 🙏🏻

This is a very old shop situated 10 mins away from Onkareshwar Temple and it’s quite famous for Poori with Aloo Curry. All dishes are made with desi ghee and that’s their USP. Total of 5 pooris were served with two curries and sweet boondi raita. You can ask for refill as well and won’t mind. Rabdi and malai puri (balushahi) are good in taste. There are many items but literally my stomach got filled with Pooris only, so could not try other items. Overall the taste is very good but it’s not distinguished or if you think of Poori Sabji this name might not come to your head.

Incomparable taste! Puri Sabji thali is totally next level. Everything is cooked in pure ghee and the aroma and taste proves that fact. Post puri sabji, do try their makkhan ke ladoo. This is something which I’ve never had before. Amazing taste and quality. A must visit place if you are in Ujjain!

Food is given is good but it's too much spicy and 2 vegetable was there but having lots of water you have to get potato out from water so as per my opinion I am not suggesting this place for authentic food but yes you can take food if your budget is limited
