The arch is very beautiful but a little dark at night to return to the center.

(Translated by Google) A very old part of Mérida that is very well preserved, the environment created by the arch, the park and the houses that are around it is very beautiful. The cons that can be found is the carelessness of the people in the structures and in throwing the garbage out of the boat, in addition to the fact that drunk people can be found sometimes in the park, however, they are things that can be solved.

One of the three ancient colonial arches that demarcate the limits of old Merida. The arch takes its name from the statue of a saint located in a niche at its apex. It dates back to the late 17th century and is located at an entrance to a quaint Parque San Juan. Beautifully restored, it makes for a nice photo opportunity. There are some cute buildings around as well, and street vendors abound in the park. If you find yourself here, you are now squarely off the beaten path.

Very cool to see one of the last 2 arcs in Merida. Catch it at sunset and the colors are beautiful.

The Arco de San Juan is a more or less impressive Arc at the Plaza Dan Juan. To be honest, of you don’t want to Go there because of the Arc, you don’t miss a thing ;) But if These Kind of things are Important for you - Go for it!

This arc is a bit hidden and far away from from center but it is a worth walk. Come here during morning or evening hours to get the best pictures.

Reminds me of the Arches in Antigua. Small is not bad.

It could use some context, given what an important piece of historic remembrance culture it is. The area is okay, the park next to it has some little food stands and a lot of live.
