It is a very nice place to see a lot of those pink-legged flamingos…🦩🦩🦩 It felt ilegal to have no entrance fee but yeah entrance is free and you get to see them closer through the binoculars. The guard on the viewing hide was also very nice to us. Even for just a few minutes, I felt like my animal-lover self was really happy with what I experienced. No words can describe really. You must all come and visit…🥰

A great experience to view the flamingoes from up close and we even got to see the feeding time. Its a small area and you can only stay for 10 min but its lovely and worth it. Unfortunately the guard was a little rude to us for some reason because he didnt believe our nationality

No words to explain how fantastic is this place . One of the worlds biggest city have a wildlife sanctuary at the centre of it. Dubai Govt made a great move to make this area a sanctuary especially dedicated to Greater Flamingos and other migratory Birds. Parking is very Few. Restricted access to the hide out. But properly seperated the view cabin from the natural habitat of flamingos. This is a place for Birders and who admire the nature . Please respect birds while you visit there follow the instructions strictly.

Access to watch the flamingoes at a close range. Viewing duration is 10 minutes. No charges or entry fee. Cabin is small, at a time around 8 people can enjoy the view comfortably. Nice experience.

It's a good spot to spot flamingos. There's a small observation deck with (kind of) binoculars-just 1 during my visit. Short brief of birds migration posted as sticky notes. Good info.

Nice. We got allowed around 5:45. Closed at 6. Not sure if its regular time. Last to be allowed on that day We can see Flamingos very closely. Sometimes their fights and activities. Also a binocular available for close observation. Max allowed to spent 10 15 minutes only. Need to walk 300 400 meters to reach the observation hut. Have to be quick to get max experience. Only limited people allowed at a time approx 10 or 15 not sure exact. 4 to 5 cars only can be parked at a time.

The place itself is very nice! But be careful because the map will send you to the wrong place, on the other side of the highway. You need to be sure you are on the correct side of the highway - see attached photo of the map - it takes you to the petrol station but the actual location is across the road

If you're looking for a flamingo-tastic time, the Ras al Khor flamingo hide is the place to be! But brace yourself, because this viewing experience is no luxury spa day. You'll be sitting in a small hut with one pair of binoculars to share amongst your group. And don't even think about bringing a crowd, because seating is limited. Parking is also a bit of a flamingo flop, so come early or be prepared to wait. But trust me, the smell is worth it for the sight of the huge flock of flamingos. It's like a pink feathery party and you're the VIP. Just make sure to bring a gas mask or some strong smelling salts, because the scent can be quite potent. Overall, the Ras al Khor flamingo hide is a must-see, but plan for a quick 20-30 minute visit. So pack light, wear comfortable shoes, and bring your sense of humor and adventure. And maybe some mints for after the smell, but the experience is definitely worth it

The place is open 7 days a week from 7am to sunset. No entry fee applicable. A very difficult location to find as Google maps shows completely wrong location. Not much information is provided about the birds and the time and reason of their presence in Dubai. But still its a wonderful experience. Best part is that authorities have made sure that the birds do not get harrassed by the spectators so the viewing cabin is quite at a distance mounted with powerful binoculars. There is no parking space but strangely has a cycling track around it

Amazing place but hard to reach as a tourist, just off the highway. Make sure your taxi driver knows where he is going as it is not a popular place they drive tourists to. You will have only 1pminutes to see the birds. We were lucky to be there at their feeding time. Getting a taxi back to the city was another nightmare so be prepared to wait a bit. There are toilets on site. BEWARE THAT THE OTHER BIRD HIDES ARE CLOSED FOR 6 MONTHS or so.

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is a haven for nature enthusiasts! Nestled in the heart of Dubai, it offers a peaceful retreat with its diverse birdlife and mangrove ecosystem. The flamingo gatherings are a visual spectacle, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and photographers. A conservation success, seamlessly blending urban life with the beauty of the natural world. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm not a "twitcher" but I found this a disappointing experience. The 100 metre walk to the wooden hide allows you to see a large flock of white flamingos only determined by a decent telephoto lens. Someone mentioned there was an Eagle soaring above the distant trees but I wasn't convinced ! A heron did a flyby which was nice but not unique. There's a limited amount of parking in a layby and toilets are there, but that's it. Overall, a disappointing venture out.

Nice to see flamingos in the middle of the city. After the entrance you just follow the path until the “Flamingo hide” where you can spot the flamingos and take pictures. There’s also one binocular to use and some explanation. Be aware when going there while using google maps. Google maps does show you the wrong side of the parking area. Therefore turn on satellite mode and pin the parking place to navigate there. This issue shall be fixed. Enjoy it.

A must visit place for bird watchers, wildlife photography enthusiasts or families with kids. You get about 10mins to enjoy these migratory birds in an artificially created mangrove forests and that is more than enough time to observe.
