I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment I stepped in, the friendly chef and sweet waitress made me feel incredibly welcome. Their warm demeanor set the tone for an exceptional evening. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the steak. It was hands down the best steak I've ever had. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The chef's expertise truly shone through in every bite. The dish was not only well-cooked but also beautifully presented, making it a feast for the eyes as well. The attentive service from the waitress further enhanced the meal. She was attentive to our needs, suggesting pairings that perfectly complemented the steak. Her genuine kindness and eagerness to ensure our satisfaction added a special touch to the dining experience.

one of the best places where ive ever been. the service is 5/5 the quality of the food is 5/5 arrangements are 5/5 they do not serve alcohol there since they want to keep it all halal. you can bring your own alcohol if you want. they accept cash or transfer. if you do not have enough cash with you, chef budiyono will take you to an atm. if you like fine dining and a chil and nice atmosphere you have to go there. prices are obviously above average but it pays off 100%

Such a hidden gem with good omakaze! Chef Budi prepares all the menu himself and each of the menu is a peace of art. We really love the experience. The place looks like regular house in a housing complex but when you are in, the place is so homy and gives you different experience. Definitely will go back again in the future

We had the Omakase with lobster, it was the best lobster I have ever eaten in my life!!! It even surpasses all the lobsters that I had in 5 stars hotels.....sooooo good!!! The Ottoro & salmon appetizer was also very excellent...as well as the abalone 🤤🤤.....the steak was soooo tender, everything was spot on 👌🤤. The customer service is beyond expectations, the chef even drove us back to the hotel because we couldn't get taxi back....the place is quite hidden, but it was really worth it...make sure you make a reservation first because they only have 3 tables .

I stumbled upon this hidden gem on Google, a restaurant located in a residential area. It was a bit surprising because initially, I thought it was a standalone restaurant, but it turned out to be situated in a house. The host and chef were very friendly. Despite the simplicity of the restaurant, it was comfortable and charming. Simple yet delightful. We ordered steak, mushroom soup, and spaghetti. Everything we ordered had an authentic and delicious taste. The chef personally came to greet us, and the hospitality was remarkable. We even received a very generous bonus portion. Moreover, the prices were very reasonable. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food and service here. Highly recommended for those who want to try dining in a unique and unconventional setting outside a traditional restaurant.

Great experience. Great food. Great customer service. I went home with full heart and happy tummy ❤️ The restaurant is located in a housing complex, but it was beautifully designed that you won’t feel you are in a residential area. The restaurant is very green and fresh, surrounded by beautiful plants. Every night, the restaurant only serves maximum of 4 tables, so reservation is recommended. Pak Budiyono and his wife (owners and chefs) , as well as Lisa (server) are very welcoming. They always have smile on their face and never tired to answer our questions. We also allowed to see the cooking process. Fun. We did the omakase. So we got 5 different courses plus dessert. They accommodate our request since we didn’t eat red meat and changed the menu with fresh fish. The food are delish! The ingredients are so fresh and they explain every thing that they put on the plate. Price range from IDR 550K - IDR 1750K

In two weeks Bali on the last day we found the best restaurant and experience of our whole trip. The best food we had on Bali and probably of the last few years, fresh, very skilled preparation, an extremely fair price point - and hospitality so welcoming that our daughter actually cried when we had to leave! A 100% must visit if one’s ever in Bali - an unforgettable experience.

One of the best evenings in Bali and definitely the most delicious steak I've ever had. You don't just get a Michelin level taste, you get a gastronomic experience. The concept of the restaurant is based on the privacy of the tables, you don't see other guests, you enjoy the evening and the owner treats you to a first class steak and other dishes ❤️ I will remember this evening for the rest of my life, thank you!

So romantic. Feels so “exclusive” because they only take like 3 tables at a time. You get your own private little booth surrounded by so many beautiful plants (I feel like I’m in a fairy garden) The best experience I’ve ever had at a resturant. They only take reservations and for good reason - it’s a place you will remember forever because it’s so UNIQUE and the food is insanely good. They built it on top of their home the chef and his wife 🥺 so they REALLY love what they do. We came here twice, and made it our final meal in Bali. We’ve had the 9 course meal, steak lovers and tomahawk! And a special lamb for us because we came back twice. It’s flavors you will never forget. The chef would personally come out frequently to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. Chef Budiyono is an amazing human being. He even offered to drive us back to our villa because sometimes the drivers on Grab would be sooo slow due to traffic over there. I have never had a chef offer to drive us back to our hotel and it was insanely kind of him. 10/10. Would recommend. I’d have this for my last meal ever on my death bed.

*Apologies for the long review* There are many places you can visit in Bali. Those notable are Seminyak, Kuta and even Ubud. In those places there are many good eateries, but then there are those off the beaten path that get unnoticed. It may due to its location or even the fact that it isn't popular enough and isn't a chain restaurant. I present to you a diamond in the rough Happy Cow, in Jimbaran. You will find the drive on the way very off the grid, with dirt roads along the way. It will feel almost like you are a local with the atmosphere around the roads. We arrived around 6:30pm with a smile and passionate welcome by the waitress who showed us to our table on the rooftop of the house. The whole place is very homey with a cozy feel to it as pots of plants are decorating the building. We ordered the Wagyu Rice Saikoro that was decorated with a special sauce and Chicken Steak with a brown almost peppercorn sauce and roasted potatoes, both served with a side of lettuce. The food was amazing, tender chicken with a subtle grill flavour that was complimented by the sauce so well, the roasted potatoes that were soft and the wagyu rice saikoro, melt in your mouth slices that went well with the soft rice and delectable lettuce and the dressing. We were the only customers at the time or at least the first for the night from the looks of it and were gifted a free mushroom soup with garlic bread. The taste was amazing, nothing to overpowering or too artificially flavoured. A subtle true mushroom taste that was addicting to the spoonful dressed in splash of truffle oil and with the side of the garlic bread it was the perfect pair. The whole experience is really like none other, it makes you feel like you have a personal chef as you create conversations with the chef and the waitress. The utter kindness is none other like you will receive from any other place, they ensure you are comfortable and will try their best to accomodate your needs. They are humble and kind and for my fellow travellers, their english is very clear and concise. I only wish the best for this family and the restaurant and truly believe you should give this restaurant a try on your to do list.

Every single one of the family who is running the business was very sweet and kind. The food we ordered was fantastic and delicouse and the menu is halal. We are coming back for sure. Keep it up Rooftop Family.
