Hands down the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had. Food was top notch, drinks were made so smooth and the staff was attentive, knowledgeable and kind. We will be back!

This was our first time ever going to the restaurant. We had heard great things about it. Between ordering and being served was very very long. Once the food arrived it was cooked very well. Just no flavor whatsoever my wife ordered the beef tips and noodles zero flavor. I ordered a sirloin the flavor was probably barely on the outer crust the inside was very flat and bland ordered medium. Long waits in between glass fill ups and seeing our waitress. Waited for our check to cash out for so long we ended up having to find somebody to find our waitress. Had very very high expectations. We drove good ways to get there to only be greeted by mediocre food flavoring and okay Applebee's style service.🤷

We were a party of four on a Saturday evening. We had drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert. The food was great and the service was equally great. Old City Prime may be the best place to eat in ALL of Ohio!

This was our second visit and we were looking forward to a nice evening and a great dinner. We had a reservation and when we walked in the host lead us to the table right behind the host stand. We asked for a different table and were told larger parties had reserved all other tables. Needless to say, my husband's chair was bumped numerous times along with his elbow. Our waitress was wonderful. We did ask her to space our courses, but about 20 minutes passed between our salad and entrées. We ordered an end cut of prime rib and asked if could be medium rare. The server assured us that could be done. The first attempt was more well done than medium rare. The waitress was apologetic and asked if a center cut would be acceptable so that it could be medium rare. When the center cut was delivered, it was also over done and very tough. The waitress sent over service manager Scott..what a JERK! First he blamed the server for even accepting an order for medium rare, then argued with us about cook and quality of the meat. He never apologized and rushed away from the table as soon as possible. This "manager " was not helpful and very rude and dismissive! Certainly not what is expected in a quality restaurant. Scott ruined this experience and I doubt we will return.

We had a reservation for my 33rd birthday. We had a party of 8. The night started great. The food was great for most of us. My Delmonico Ribeye was incredible. My fiancée's pork shank was a bit too salty for her to take more than one bite, but loved the pork belly appetizer. And one of my friends visiting from out of state had a less than stellar steak. Just a little overcooked unfortunately, but they were decently busy. We were told Caesar salads were unavailable table side due to an event and then as we were eating our house salads the table beside ours enjoyed them. The service was less than stellar. We didn't receive drinks that were ordered(not charged). We waited over thirty minutes just to receive our checks and then another fifteen or so to get our correct change back(someone was charged for something they did not order). We ended up missing our next stop as they were closed by the time we left. I can definitely say it was likely a fluke in service, an off night so to speak, but for the standard they set everywhere else it was incredibly disappointing by the time we left.

Great meal, great service, worth every penny spent. Stephanie was an amazing waitress. The food cooked by chef David Lani was amazing. Great way to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. Thank you all for a great night.

Service and food were great until one of our party members noticed water dripping on his shoulder . It was coming from a sewer line in the ceiling. We asked for the manager (Jerry) and he completely blew us off. He said that he would call maintenance tomorrow. Didn’t even offer us any compensation after raw sewage dropped on us, hailer eating.. STAY AWAY!!!!

Absolutely phenomenal! Went here for the first time last night and was not disappointed. Had the bartender recommended a dessert red to go with the chocolate cake, it is now on my list of favorites! Going here again when I next get the chance.

We have been going to OCP since it opened. Have always enjoyed everything we ordered! Tonight, however, we had a party of 8 and 4 of us ordered the Caesar salad. The man prepared it by our table, a new man to us, it was nothing but romaine lettuce with a little Parmesan cheese on top with a few croutons and a sour vinegar for dressing. It was NOT a Caesar at all! No anchovies, no garlic, no egg! Terrible - none of us finished it! Also, for the first time our waitress was less than accommodating. I realize it was Symphony night and a December weekend, but for the money, we should always get first class experience.

First off, The food here is absolutely delicious, and our waitress Jessica was very accommodating and sweet. I’m giving two stars off bc I gave them a heads up that I’m gluten intolerant when making the reservation, and was assured there was options etc. Once there Our poor waitress looked scared bc she had absolutely no heads up I was gluten intolerant or training on serving anyone with gluten intolerance. I did risk eating an appetizer she looked unsure about and did end up getting bad sick on our anniversary night instead of enjoying our jacuzzi suite. Please, take into consideration that being gluten intolerant is a real food allergy, not a preference. When consumed we get severely sick, sometimes for wks, could end up in the hospital, and it causes damage to our intestine etc. When you have unmarked menus and untrained staff, you are risking people’s health, and losing out on clients. With that said, I would love to come back, the seafood and steak was the best I’ve had in Ohio but I won’t personally risk it until you update your menu. Thank you.

My first time here as I am traveling on business. The food was amazing. Highly recommend and our waiter has a beautiful singing voice! I heard him singing to a table who was celebrating a birthday! The filet mignon was like butter in my mouth! I think it was one of the best ones I have ever had! Tableside Caesar salad was so cool! Oh and get that Grasshopper! So good.

Seemed like a classic steakhouse, the food was really good and the service was fantastic. Restaurant was really dark, but is part of the theme.

Three members of the party were from out of town (Chicago area) and have many choices in our area for a great steak/seafood meals in an upscale setting. Old city Prime did not disappoint. The tomato bisque soup was fantastic. The salads that the others got were very nice size. Bread was beyond good. My steak was perfect. Two others got fish selections, and the last got the roasted Chicken. All was outstanding. Was there for a birthday celebration and a staff member with a wonderful voice sang happy birthday and had sparklers in the dessert! My aunt was so happy. She felt so special and it was your staff that made that happen. We visit at least once a year and will be back every single time!

OUTSTANDING FOOD, DRINK AND SERVICE! Myself and two work associates had the pleasure of dining here while in town for a couple of days. The food was incredibly delicious and the service was outstanding. Our server, Scott was very knowledgeable and made some great recommendations. We were also entertained by his incredible singing voice. The bartender, Nicole was humorous and kept us entertained while having drinks at the bar. She made a great drink called the “Steve-a-reno”, which I thought was fantastic. The food and service was so good, we decided to eat there on our second night in town. I would highly recommend a visit to this outstanding restaurant and look forward to another visit there.

Classy, upscale restaurant with a great vibe. The staff were amazing, and worked to make sure we were well taken care of. The food was excellent, everything we ordered was beautifully done and delicious. We went to eat here before a show at the Lima Veterans Memorial Civic Center, and it was just a quick walk over after we were done eating. Scott, our server, was very helpful in making sure we knew exactly where we were going and was so kind and accommodating in every way. I would recommend Old City Prime to anyone who happens to find themselves in the Lima area, or even as a road trip to those a bit further away. We will definitely make a point of going again!

The Filet Mignon with demi glace was superb. Rich and tender, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The loaded baked potato and asparagus with hollandaise were also very good. Service was absolutely fantastic. The only issue I could see was that I could barely see. It is rather dimly lit and it took me a while to adjust to the lighting. Overall if you can afford it, it is well worth the cost to have a meal that fulfills every expectation of what you would want from a real fine dining establishment, all right here in Lima.

Highly recommend this 5star place! Great service with very friendly waiters. The place was perfection!

The wait staff was incredible and the food was fantastic. My wife and I shared our meals. We got the pork belly app, delmonico with baked potato, bacon wrapped meatloaf with truffle fries, bread pudding and creme brulee as well as a few cocktails. Everything was just amazing and the price was great.

We chose here to celebrate our 22nd anniversary and everything was amazing!! Loved the atmosphere, the host, our server and the food was delicious. They really made us feel special. We will be back for sure.

This place was amazing. My first time here. I live in Indianapolis. Great fine dining experience. Awesome atmosphere and excellent food. Sizeable portions. I had the 14 oz Delmonico Ribeye medium rare, shrimp and crab chowder soup. The Cosmopolitan drink was on point. Our server Scott was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend this place and will return next time I come back to Lima. This place rivals big city fine dining restaurants. Kudos to the entire staff. You did a great job on service and creating fond memories.

It's always one of my favorite places. Went for a work event and was totally impressed again. One young bartender had to go downstairs to get the beer I wanted. After that, she made sure i had them available all evening. Appetizers were delicious, and the filet was amazing. I finished with the lava cake and left smiling.

Full menu with great offerings, delicious food, fantastic atmosphere and stellar service from Nichole at the bar! She made it a 5 star experience. Prime rib pin wheels, table side prepared Caesar salad, Shrimp Carbonara and luscious cocktails. Can’t wait to return.

Ate here for the first time last week. Everything was top notch! Our server Stephanie did a wonderful job! Her amazing service really enhanced our experience. I had the wagyu strip steak which was probably the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. It is pricy but it is worth every dollar you will spend. Hopefully we will be able to return soon!

Old City Prime is a big city steakhouse in a small town. My porterhouse was cooked perfect medium rare. Stephanie treated us like family and made our date night very enjoyable. Highly recommended if your in the neighborhood and craving steak.

Not only was the dinner delicious service was excellent was our first visit but won't be our last. Had chocolate Martini was very good. My husband got king crab And I went with the Prime rib both was Delicious. Ended our evening upstairs with a great band Big Red!!

We had dinner at the bar since the restaurant was packed and we couldn't get a reservation on the night we were in town. Nicole and Jordan really helped make the experience top notch. The drinks and food rival any high end steak house we've ever eaten in and the atmosphere was unique, it did remind us of a speak easy (to borrow from someone else's review) we will definitely be back!

Had a fabulous meal there Saturday---LOVE the atmosphere! Wonderful bar for a pre-drink! The bartenders are great! Scott was our waiter and he made our evening SPECTACULAR! Great service but OH MY what a voice he has when he sang to us! Entertainment upstairs is GREAT! Such a fun atmosphere and really enjoyed the group! John the owner stopped by to talk and made the evening fun as well. This place is at the top of our list of places to go around this area! We WILL be back!
