Walking around the park is awesome, you are able to admire the foliage, if you like to climb , there's a hill where you can walk,or run. Once on the top of the hill, you can see the boats sailing across the Bay. Don't forget to enjoy the view of the heart of the city.

This is a nice little park to walk around and enjoy the scenery. They have a very spacious area, which is like a hilltop if you want to have a picnic or barbeque. They also have a skatepark, a kids' playground, a basketball court, and a dog run. The park itself is very clean and well maintained, but the ladies' restroom needs a bit of work, in my opinion. On a nice day, this is a perfect place to go for outdoor activities as it doesn't seem to get too crowded.

Nice small park with playground for kids and you can do barbecue there as well. Really this park is the hill. Big threes, lot of shade in some places and you can feel your self like in the woods at this spots. Park is not crowded, but again, is very small. But!! You can cross the street and go to the huge peer, walk in another park along belt parkway, vist super small botanical garden and even find mini swamp with huge toads and little red fishes. I recommend it, just go there, look around and find all nice places.

Nice park with three different sizes of playground equipment. Nice view of the river and lower Manhattan; on a clear day, you can see the statue of liberty.

Very nice park; 4/5 stars just because it can be a bit smelly at times in some parts from somewhere nearby, but otherwise a nice place to walk through and the bathrooms seem clean! During the winter you can see the Verrazano bridge and Manhattan from there as well, pretty neat!

Great place in Brooklyn for Sledding and Skiing with kids. Long about 500' slopes, Even and not too Steep. Perfect for Family and Kids Sledding. Not crowded, with a lot of Open Space. Wait for next snowfall and come enjoy Winter Fun

There's a huge hill that might give Central Park competition during snow days, the slope is steep enough to enjoy a sled ride. There's also plenty of seating and a public bathroom. Towards the back of the park, people were gathering for the sunset over Staten Island.

A beautifully-wooded swath of land with some open fields; excellent for kicking a ball around and running around with the kids. Lovely rolling hills throughout, great for jogs or strolling with the fam.

This is a terrific park! It has walking paths and plenty of open and shaded lawn areas. There are basketball courts, skateboard tracks, swings and monkey bars for the kids. The environmental team was on hand and doing a great job caring for the facilities and the park itself. Busy place but not too busy.

A breath of fresh air, literally and metaphorically, for the neighborhoods of Bay Ridge, Sunset Park and beyond, in Southwest Brooklyn. It was the residence of a former state senator from over 150 years ago that was eventually sold to the city by the estate of a later owner, and it’s highlights include several basketball courts, the abundance of trees for an impromptu picnic, the area for the skateboarders, as well as a small playground. There is a need of an upgrade of the basketball courts and a few other smaller projects that some volunteers could take on in order to make this gem of a park even more enjoyable for the neighborhood.

It is suitable for walking, jogging, and there are also entertainment facilities suitable for children. The only thing I hate is that there are too many mosquitoes, and I was bitten several places in a short while

Been coming here since I was a kid, it never disappoints. However the park needs some renovation, the 5 star is for the scenic views!

My favorite park in New York City. It has nature, water front and space. It has everything one needs for a nice relaxing weekend day. Or just a nice relaxing regular day. Go there and see for yourself. You will love it. It's a hidden jam in a big city.

Whether you're wanting to picnic, host an outdoor event, shoot some hoops, play with your pup inside a dog run, or let your screaming bratty child go crazy in a playground, then look no further. This park has something for everyone. Clean, well manuicured, and perfect for all activities.

Rare green space in Bay ridge. The children's park needs updating but its a nice place to walk around and fall is the best with all the changing leaves. There's a bathroom but no picnic area (I've seen ppl set up independently for celebrations) its a big space (relatively)so noise not big issue.

Beautiful hillside park tucked away in a corner of Bay Ridge. Has lovely trees, a playground, and a promenade at back with views of NY harbor. All that a park should be!

Held a family picnic reunion here on July 7th. Park was clean. Workers kept driving around empty the waste baskets. Lots of shade. No pesky critters and although there were some kind of small bugs flying around there were NO MOSQUITOS. Very good experience.

This is a great park for the whole family from young to old, all types of activities, playgrounds, grass and courts. you can bike run exercise and just to relax. whatever you come for this is a great great park. Hope that Brooklyn has more of these.

Beautiful park with great scenic views and chill vibes. Just prepare yourself for some steep hills.

A beautiful and not surprising that the park is so clean and the atmosphere is calm and soothing because of the perfect mix of nature and trails blending together. The neighborhood definitely speaks volumes for perserving parks like this because it's the locals that keep the constant attention to keeping this park safe and beautiful. Another thing is that if you join the pier and bike path, your in for a days worth of things to-do 😉. ENJOY!!

Absolutely beautiful park that would deserve a 5/5 star rating...if I didn't have a sense of smell🤢 I'm not sure if it was the abominable condition my friends told me the women's restroom was in or the nearby wastewater treatment facility, but the rotten sewer smell permeated the air in roughly 75% of the park when I was here for the Gay Ridge event. It was truly depressing considering the natural scenery of the park was gorgeous and the event was fun, but it was hard to pay attention to when that wretched smell permeated through almost the entire park. Again, this may have been because of a combination of bathroom issues and heat/wind conditions that might not necessarily be permanent, but it was bad enough that day for me to leave earlier than I was originally intending to. If the parks department finds a way to lessen that sewer smell, this place could have a much better reputation.

We go there often, though it's like Penn Station. Easy to maintain though smelly, dusty, noisy traffic Best of a bad situation I suppose 2022 Dec - still the same

Halloweem Event started at 1 pm. Got there at 2:30 and there was a huge crowd and there was barely anything left except few pieces of candy. The playground was so crowded that our 2 year old couldn't go play on it with my friends' kids. Next time have to come on time. When we left they were just about to start the costume contest. There was a maze and cute photo station set up. We didn't even go on line for the pumpkin painting because that takes time and there was a long line.

This is the perfect park for all your favorite activities. Basketball, skatepark, tons of grass to roll around on, the dogs love it as do we!!

A nice small park, dog friendly, well maintained for the most part. There is a decent dog run (chalky ground and can get dusty), two children’s playground, ball court, skate park, a decent bathroom building and nice pathways all around the park. This park is on the side of a hill which makes it a great sledding location when it snows. Unfortunately there tends to be a lot of trash around this park, especially on the weekends when people flock here to have picnics. It’s more due to people leaving an excessive amount of garbage behind after they are done having fun. Park employees do eventually pick up the garbage.

The playground needs updating. The paint is chipping and slides are pretty beat up but the splash area is very nice and there are a lot of beautiful views. Overall, my son (2 years old) enjoyed the playground despite the way that it looked and really loved the water.

One of the best parks in Brooklyn. Most days of summer and fall are spent here by many people who live in Bay Ridge. Good for family celebrations, hangouts, outdoor games, etc. Has a good scenery of the pier. Well maintained. Has a restroom but not sure how well it is maintained. Has 4 Basketball courts, a kids play area and a skate park.

Another reason why this region of Brooklyn is sought after. Big and functional hilly park that provides nooks and crannies. Well lit at night. The area is safe already but the funding this neighborhood get is easily seen in how the park is maintained.
