To be honest this place is very beautiful for taking pictures. I recommend going to this place if you want to go kayaking although I don't like kayaking since I have a fear of the ocean so I would rather not drown or get eaten up by a underwater creature that might or might not be discovered yet.

The nearest one you can use is in a mosque 2km from the lake, meaning you need to take the shuttle bus back to the parking then take your car which will take you easily 30 minutes. Good place for weekend hangout from Dubai. Hatta Dam and Hatta Lake is just nearby. I suggest you go to hatta Dam as lake is very small. Unfortunately you cannot do barbecue openly on that area. No entrance fee, parking is available but very limited, weekends can be crowded. You will see breathtaking view of Hatta Lake and Al Hajar Mountains

You can’t swim which is a complete nonsense, there is so much security you feel like there is Obama visiting, you can barely walk around the lake and the boats they provide are expensive and move incredibly slow. Don’t waste your time with it, extremely touristic place.

Fantastic place for family and group enjoyment. One hour boat experience is very safe and great but a little expensive. Price range from 100-900 . There are several lifeguards around you while your boat is in the lake, and they provide sanitised life-saving jackets for you.
