Located in the outskirts of Al ain, (30 minute drive from Al ain town) Zakher lake is a hidden paradise. We took the truck road. The lake in the center of the desert surrounded by lush green reminded of a nostalgic childhood picture from Arabian storybooks. Multiple visits have always rejuvenated us and drove us away from the tiring city life. There is place for barbeque, camping, dune bashing, etc. Lots of picturesque frames is a promise. We visit the place on full moon nights to fully enjoy the beauty of nature. Jebel Hafeet can also be seen from distance. The only drawback I find here is the improper deposits of waste materials, mostly after people camp or eat here. Please do something to make people understand about the importance of disposing waste properly, not leaving plastic and other materials in the sand. Authorities should intervene and do something to rectify the waste disposal problem at the earliest.

Great place for sunrise/sunset photoshoots. Frontwheel cars are not suitable on its inner quarters.

A perfect outdoor experience with family and friends. Wonderful ambience with a very serene and neat lake located in midst of the dunes.

Great camping location. Make sure to drive suv car. You can only reach the lake by crossing the desert sands (unlike other campsites wherein there's a trail) therefore driving a sedan will be a huge challenge.

Such a beautiful place in Al Ain to have a walk around and have some food with family and friends. Lovelyy place for photos after noon and before sunset. If you go after sunset you may plan to have BBQ also there.

The lake is quite beautiful, although when we visited the water level was very less but had a pleasant camping. But the irresponsible behaviour of people leaving trash behind was bothering so much, they just leave the trash there where they picnicked or camped. You are the one who brought all the bags full of food, but forgot to take back thinking someone else will come to pick it for you so you are wrong. You are just contributing to destroy the environment. I hope people show some responsibility and take the trash with them and throw it out to the designated place. Disappointed with the irresponsible behaviour 😌

Perfect water, sun, and relaxing water activities. My favorite was kayaking and exploring the dam. It’s a great affordable way to enjoy a day in the UAE. Being in nature and by the mountains makes you feel stress free. Everything is well organized. I would recommend for them to further develop the area close to dam. They could include restrooms, changing rooms, and some nice restaurants. Even a hotel by the dam would probably be a great idea! Hope they have a great vision for this gem in the UAE.

Very nice and peaceful place for nature lovers. Best to visit in this weather. Reservoir is full of water due to rains. Lot of migratory birds are in the lake. Perfect place for picnic n barbecue. Some sheds are available to settle down but no washroom or shops available. One feels too much close to nature. Loved this place.

Zakher Lake is one of the best place in Alain for fresh air in a early morning and you will be see here beautiful birds at a side of lake

Dangerous place, and I don't think it's even natural. I would not take kids there, it also smells bad. Not a safe place.

This place is good for the BBQ. But I won’t recommend this place for camping ⛺️ specially who have kids. From 8 pm to 2 am Habibies will go around on the land cruiser and Buggy. It will be very noise and kids won’t sleep until 2 am.

Nice spot with family or friends to enjoy kayaking pedal boat and the views. Nice experience. Try to arrive before midday as it can be crowdy and bring snacks or water with you. From Dubai the journey is really beautiful.

If when want break up from city then go to hatta dam, was very relaxing. Best time to enjoy this place after 3 o'clock. Take paddle boat and enjoy the nature. Bring water and food item with you. Make sure to reach before 6pm to enjoy the boat ride. Overall best place to visit in winter time. For summer I don't recommend this place.

A must visit place for those seeking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. This is a place of nature, calm and tranquility. The lake and dam and its surrounding mountains are of such phenomenal beauty that one has to visit to experience it.

Place is scenic nice pleasnat but No Toilets at the Dam so arrangements should be made as there is no closeby washrooms and hill walking from parking is very steep and tiry.
