One of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited! Every dish as a piece of art, but as well so delicious! Some of them had absolutely unpredictable taste, so I understand why this restaurant is Michelin starred! Really amazing experience with 16 small shows and so great staff who are ready to explain every dish and advice you the best way how to try it. Thank you so much! And for the end of our dinner with small sweet gift!

If you want to have the best dining experience in dubai currently with such a blast of flavors come to Avatara. It’s like one of the best set menus currently in the whole of UAE and cannot be missed. They have such a dynamic menu and the host Jayesh really helped us through the menu. Don’t miss it!

My wife booked us for dinner at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday on 2nd Aug. It was an amazing surprise and I could not have expected a better dining experience to celebrate this occasion. The 15 course menu was full of surprises, excitement, flavour and stories. I can't explain each and every dish however I have to say that every dish had a story and it reminded me of some known flavours and some new flavors. The service is impeccable and each course is served simultaneously and with the appropriate cutlery to enjoy the dish. It is an experience which requires patiently enjoying each and every dish and savouring the flavours. Chef Rahul and his team has done an amazing job curating such an eclectic menu suitable for vegetarians and with dietary restrictions. The menu is not only about a journey through Indian cuisine but an experience which I feel every ethnicity and cultures should be able to enjoy at least once before missing out on such dishes. Highly recommended.

Avatara is really what it promises to be. Pure vegetarian degustation experience. Hitting all the senses of flavor, texture and presentation it is as exquisite as it gets and an experience I would say is a must for any enthusiastic diner in Dubai or anyone visiting the city. Service is excellent and every bite of food served is delicious. Small team takes care of every small detail and attention to detail is there but without disturbing your personal space so its very comforting at the end.

Amaazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great the staff is so friendly and kind. The ambiance was so beautiful. Everything about this restaurant was great. The staff also worked as a team in bringing the food on time and explaining each and every details about the dish and the best way to eat. Each and every dish has its own story to tell which makes it special and helps to enjoy the flavors of different parts of India. The 16 course menu takes you to the wonderful journey of Indian vegetarian cuisine with a twist and innovation. Its a Michelin recognized restaurant but in my opinion it definitely deserves stars. Highly recommended must visit place in Dubai. Thank you all for the wonderful experience

Dubai’s only all-vegetarian fine dining degustation experience bringing contemporary Indian flavors with innovation and outstanding techniques. Even more laudable: the entire menu is without onion or garlic! Avatāra also caters to vegan diets and other dietary restrictions. The 15 course menu blew my mind. Curated by Chef Rahul Rana, they’ve managed to deliver soulful and local ingredients to the plate as works of art. I can’t pick a favorite from the 15 courses, but if I were to list some that stunned me: the pumpkin ravioli, the raw banana varuval with coconut lassi and curry leaf chutney, the green pea kachori, the Imarti waffle dessert and the paan ni poori. Nothing does more justice than trying it for yourself! Hands down one of Dubai’s best. Well done, team of Avatāra: shout out to each and every one of them who made our experience unforgettable with superb hospitality and a beautiful surprise for my mom’s birthday. Cannot wait for the next season 🔥

The latest venture by the Tresind Group - Avatara is one for the books. The first and only all vegetarian degustation experience, which boasts an onion and garlic free menu, will leave your tastebuds tantalized. Focusing on Ayurvedic ingredients, each course is beautifully thought out, presented and most importantly DELICIOUS! Big props to Chef Rahul Rana and the entire team at Avatara for curating this impressive 15 course menu which takes you on a wonderful journey through India. Thank you for having us and I genuinely cannot wait to come back again!

    Dubai’s first and only all-vegetarian
degustation fine dining experience. The restaurant was featured in the Michelin Guide 2022. We had the 15-Course Menu for dinner paired with wine. The menu is inspired by humble seasonal ingredients, that are pure, clean, natural, and energy-containing. Breaking through perceptions that a vegetarian diet is limited, Avatara curates a unique vegetarian fine dining experience that showcases the endless possibilities vegetarian food can offer. The team was very accommodating to my food intolerances and dishes were adapted accordingly. Even the adapted version of the dish tasted exceptional. They also cater to vegan and gluten-free diets upon request. Huge thank you for this guys! The food, service, ambience… everything was exceptional. Loved every minute of it! They even give you a gift bag to take home which has a tasty dessert inside for you to enjoy the next day. Avatara is accessed through sister restaurant, Trèsind, at Voco Hotel. Each course has a story behind it and is meticulously created in the open kitchen and delivered by the chefs themselves. *More info on opening hours:* Dinner only 6.30-7.30-8.30-9.30 Lunch only on Sunday Closed on Monday Wine pairing menu is priced at 395AED 15-course menu is priced at 368AED

Avatara is Dubai’s first and only all-vegetarian degustation fine dining experience which is also a Michelin Guide restaurant. it is a light, conscious plant-based dining experience. The food is entirely onion and garlic -free. This tasting menu is a reincarnation of soulful Indian food. It weaves Indian rituals like holy offerings while highlighting the ingredients’ nutritional benefits. The best part is that Avatara  brings contemporary Indian flavours with innovation and outstanding techniques. You might be tempted to think that the exotic herbs and veggies used in the dishes are imported from far-flung European countries, but you are wrong! They are indeed sourced from local farms. Each course arrives with an explanation of the dish’s origin and ingredients by the chef himself. Their service wins a thumbs up as all members on the table are served exactly at the same time. Avatara also caters to vegan and gluten-free diets on request. Dining at Avatara is an experience that each and every person must delve into atleast once.

We really enjoyed the food it was totally different. Firstly it was a complete vegetarian restaurant which works for us as we are completely vegetarians. They have food from few different parts of India. The food was extremely good, the staff was so friendly & food presentation was excellent. The food was so differently made & presented. With every food there was a small story behind it which was explained by either a chef or staff. It was a 16course dinner. Definitely the restaurant is on the steeper side but can go on very special occasions. It was a very good experience. Do try it out.

A unique experience of 16 courses covering 50+ vegetarian dishes and flavors from every corner of India. Each course is built with complexity but everything simplifies into cohesive flavors the moment you eat it. Massively underrated.

One of the best restaurants in Dubai, and it happens to be vegetarian! If you request beforehand, they can make the dishes vegan for you too. The presentation was excellent and the taste was even better. Every dish was amazing. This was a 16 course menu based on food from all over India, but primarily featuring dishes from Uttarakhand such as burans-ras, til ki chutney, bal mithai, gahad ki dal, jakhiya aloo. The team is really nice and full of passion, which you can clearly see in all the food they make. They are relocating to Dubai Hills soon, and I wish them all the success in the new location!

I along with 2 friends (who are basically non-vegetarians but foodies) ventured to Avatara and it turned out among the best adventure we had with food in exploring the myriad hidden small things out in the open... the experience cannot be described because each burst of flavours in each course has its own take in terms of leaving the stomach and brain into guessing the indescribable thing happening with us, the mind hovers mindlessly trying to relate to something from previous experiences but it fails to match the happy feelings one gets after each dish. It cannot be described because it has to be experienced in person. No doubt the Michelin star is for no small reason. Its like sitting on a 2 and half hours flight and the staff is involved in your journey. No part of the flight do you feel left alone because you feel like you have attention of the staff and are taking care of your journey... Enjoy an amazing veg/vegan adventure with a beautiful feeling at the end of it. The chefs have made a huge difference with their dishes and presentation. A small drop of certain cream is aesthetically placed as it has its place for its own appeal. I will go again to this place. The price is paid for the experience and not everyone justifies their artwork like Avatara does. Enjoy a beautiful stomach, brain and mind adventure @ Avatara... 5 stars for no reason.

A Fantastic Vegetarian Journey! Having tried Tresind, Carnival and Tresind Studio it was about time we tried Avatara and it delivered on a high note! Fantastic menu that really takes your palate to multiple places and completely makes you forget about the animal protein 👌🏼 Completely deserves its Michelin star given the quality and creativity of the food served! Keep up the fantastic work!

Amazing fine dining experience. I had the vegan menu and it was easily the best vegan meal I’ve ever had. Both presentation and flavour were exceptional for each course, and the service was flawless too with each dishes concept clearly explained upon serving. The open kitchen meant we were able to see the chefs plate each dish and really appreciate the attention to detail that goes into each one. The Michelin star was well deserved. Highly recommend!

Avatara dazzled my carnivore palate with its artful presentation and inventive vegetarian fare. The flavors were vibrant, making every bite a gourmet delight. It's more than a vegetarian dining; it's a flavorful journey that appeals to all. Highly recommended!

Wow! What an amazing experience. I've eaten at a few Michelin star restaurants but as a vegetarian it can still be a little challenging locating fine dining that truly caters for vegetarians. Especially somewhere like Dubai. Luckily there is Avanatra, and it's is up there with the best meals I've ever had. The setting is exquisite and the staff were all welcoming and professional without being overly formal. The courses (all 16) were well spaced out and covered such an amazing range of tastes, colours and textures. We never felt too rushed or too full at any point. I can't say I loved every single course but there were some real stand outs, and those I didn't like we're just about personal taste and still enjoyable to try. The presentation of the dishes was truly exceptional. Each one was a work of art. At 495 AED per person it's expensive but again, nothing outrageous given the quality and the location. Tasting menu can be made vegan and gluten free.

A once in a lifetime experience for Pure Vegetarians. Its a delight to your eyes and unimaginable tasteful experience. Their food will open your mind and senses and you will be the most happiest person walking out of this place The hospitality of their team, explanation of each food item, presentations and unmatchable on time service of food at perfect temperature - its the most perfect culinary experience you can have. They have covered North, South, West and East - all regions speciality and most exciting ingredients that you cant ignore. Kudos to the team and have a great luck ahead.

Me and my Fiancé visited for our anniversary whilst on holiday and we absolutely loved this experience. We are both pure vegetarians and it was such a treat to be able to visit a fine dining restaurant where we could eat everything. We were both blown away by the attention of detail which has been put into every single aspect of Avatara, amazing atmosphere and environment, the staff and chefs were so friendly and welcoming. It was really nice to be able to see the Chefs preparing our dishes too. We also appreciated the hot towels provided inbetween courses. I have eaten at high end Indian restaurants back home in London but it doesn’t even come close to the food we were served at Avatara. Each course is presented so flawlessly and a background of the dish is provided, we were also advised on how to eat the dish which was helpful. Everything tasted so delicious and we were very full but satisfied by the end! Absolutely worth the price tag. A must if you are visiting Dubai.

I'm delighted to share my experience at Avatara, which I consider the epitome of vegan dining and artisanal excellence. From the moment I walked in, I was immersed in a world of flavors that transcended my expectations. The menu at Avatara is a masterpiece, offering a diverse range of vegan dishes that are not only a treat for the palate but also a work of art on the plate. Each dish is a testament to the culinary craftsmanship that goes into creating these incredible flavors. The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience is remarkable. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the food they serve. They were more than happy to guide me through the menu, making my meal not just delicious but also educational. I was particularly impressed by the use of locally sourced, fresh ingredients, which added a unique touch to every dish. Avatara's commitment to sustainability and ethical dining practices is commendable. In conclusion, Avatara offers a vegan tasting experience like no other, combining artistry and flavor in a way that is truly unparalleled. If you're a vegan or simply appreciate exceptional food, do yourself a favor and visit Avatara. It's a culinary journey you won't want to miss.

A fine dining gem! Indian Veg restaurant with Unique dishes and names, and beautiful plating and presentation. 16 course set menu and each dish is presented with an explanation by one of the friendly and knowledgeable staff👏🏻. Wish they had ala Carte menu as we would go more often instead of waiting till menu is changed every 5 months. It’s not cheap, but well worth the money. Kudos to entire team

One of the best fine dining experiences ever! We went here for our wedding anniversary and loved every bit of it. Every dish in the 15 course menu is an experience in itself - the innovation in preparing and presenting the food was top notch. Every dish tasted unique and teased our taste buds. Items like Karela, Pumpkin etc which I'm usually not fond of were prepared & presented in a way that I couldn't stop relishing. The best part was that all items were pure vegetarian, can't be more impressed that so many exotic delicious varieties were possible in veg. They even surprised us with an anniversary cake. Must try! Kids below the age of 10 are not allowed, except for Sunday Lunch. The dining hall was quite small. The ambience was simple, nothing bad but for such exotic food, it definitely deserves a much better ambience with a rooftop view maybe?

Fine dining is always a hard nut to crack here in Dubai, but we ventured out to Avatara at Voco SZR last night (1 Michelin star) which is a somewhat hidden chef’s table inside another restaurant. We enjoyed 16 courses - a culinary journey through India - paired with wine. They offer both a vegetarian and vegan tasting menu and it felt great not having to be awkward and explain 100 times what I can and can’t eat, since it’s already their niche. The food was great, and what made it special was the storytelling that came with each dish. Service was absolutely outstanding as well!

  • 5/5 Robbie van D. 10 months ago on Google
Avatara offers an unique experience, there are not many places in the world with Indian vegetarian fine-dining and Avatara now has shiny Michelin star. They also offer an amazing vegan menu. There are 16 courses and it moves along quite fast. The entire menu was an experience and it is very nice touch that there is a story behind most of the courses. The presentation is spectacular and the service impeccable. Don't worry about the size of the courses, they will ask you if you want more for your main course or if you just really like a course you can get extra. I loved the sweet the dessert and so I got another one and another one after that... They do offer an expensive wine pairing menu and a premium one as well if you can afford it. Or just have one or a lot of the amazing mocktails for which they where awarded the best non-alcoholic award from Gault & Millau. The only thing I didn't really like was the location. The acoustics were pretty bad and when all tables are filled it gets very noise-y and it is hard to have conversations yourself. But they will move to a new location in a few weeks, so this will probably improve soon.

It’s a good restaurant with full vegetarian menu. I tried 16 different dishes. All of them were with amazing presentation, very beautiful like a pieces of art. Everything was tasty. Waiters were very friendly and explained about the origin of every dish. It was a very interesting experience. I recommend this restaurant

Avatara is an exceptional fine dining experience for vegetarian food lovers. Located in the luxurious voco hotel in Dubai, this Michelin-starred Indian restaurant offers a wide range of dishes that showcase the diversity of Indian cuisine. The chefs at Avatara masterfully balance traditional flavors with contemporary techniques, resulting in an unforgettable culinary journey. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate, with impeccable service.Avatara is a must-visit for anyone looking for an extraordinary vegetarian fine dining experience in Dubai.

It’s exceptional and memorable. I’ve never had an experience anything like this restaurant. Brilliant ideas executed well. 16 courses, all of them interesting and delicious, some of them have a dazzling presentation. Was not prepared for how special this would be. Absolutely well worth the money. All vegetarian, but no onion and garlic, and the complexity and imagination of the dishes in turn pushes your imagination and palette to new places on what food can be. Rare ingredients, explanations of the dishes, portions are right, you’ll leave not too full but definitely not hungry. Service is kind and professional. You get to keep the menu when it’s done to remember what you ate. Relaxing music. The restaurant does the difficult job of balancing feelings of luxury and intimacy. Everything is beautiful. There was even a utensil that I’ve never used before (won’t spoil what it is). Opened in March 2022, was Michelin certified three months later. In my opinion, a true 10/10 - not only worth going out of your way to come here but also a shame if you don’t experience this or something like this before you die.
