Unfortunately after having both our dogs with Wilsons for 20 years, we have had to switch Vets. I cannot accept the ever increasing mark up on pharmaceuticals, which is resulting in me paying twice as much as I should for meds. The final straw was when I rang on a Sunday morning to get my elderly 20 year old dog in to see a vet, only to be told there would be a £100 consultation fee just to see her, this change in pricing was not told to customer's supposedly only came into effect 4 months ago. We have now changed Vets which I feel is a shame as my dog has been a client for 20 year's.

We have been with wilsons quite a long time and they are the only vets in the area I would trust with my dogs. Friendly and polite staff , also easy to get appointments. The only thing I hate about all vets is the prices charged for taking care of your pet.

I called when my dog was having difficulties, only to get through to a very arrogant woman who took some details and her exact words after hearing what was wrong is “and now you decided to call at 10:30 on a Sunday night for help” apologies for not having time to bring my dog to the vets, I’ll rearrange my chemotherapy to make sure I can be seen at a more convenient time for the vets and I’ll talk to the dog so that he has issues during office hours. I was then told that if I got there in the next 29 minutes I’d need to pay over £200 to get the dog seen and if it was after 11 it would be even more. These vets don’t care about your animals, they care about how much they can get out of your wallet. In the end they wouldn’t help when they found out I don’t have that kind of money to give them there and then and recommended I look for a vets with payment plans. What a disgrace.

Really appreciate the kind and professional way which our rabbit was looked after. We were given everything we needed and is thankfully back to himself. Thank you 😊

The staff are brilliant and the facilities are top notch. On my last visit, the vet asked questions regarding everything that my dog had been there for in the past so clearly she had looked up his details and I felt that she really cared for my dog and he wasn't just on a conveyer belt. Highly recommend this vet's practice.

Took my two bunnies for their annual jabs. Got seen by Jeremy Demeyre who was absolutely fantastic with them. He handled them with so much care and gave them a thorough check. He was so calm which helped relieve my stress. Yes, it is stressful for us humans getting two free-roam bunnies into a carrier. 😂 Thank you for the amazing VIP treatment my bunnies recieved.

I couldn't recommend Wilson Veterinary enough. We had an emergency situation with our dog Molly that meant she had to be kept in for a few days - Hugh, the other vets and nurses were outstanding in the level of care they gave Molly and the communication with me as an owner. Unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to Molly, which was heartbreaking, but the personal touch of receiving a sympathy card from the team at Wilson was a very kind gesture

Had a number of poor experiences over the past couple of years. The first being an emergency situation in my dog, the receptionist did not seem to comprehend the seriousness of the situation, I had to call back 3 times to demand an appointment. The second instance with Wilson’s was when my dog had an eye ulcer, a young Chinese vet looked down on me throughout the appointment and upon being referred to an external specialist, it turns out the medication he prescribed could have caused my dogs condition to deteriorate and lose an eye. The specialist called me the same day of the Wilson’s appointment and explicitly stated to not use that medication. The third instance recently, my dog could not get out of bed on a morning, it was incredibly concerning and distressing. The young vet who we saw had zero compassion or empathy at all, didn’t bother to introduce himself, looked as though he had just rolled into work from the night before. This vet’s assessment basically stated “oh well he’s definitely not paralysed”… great. Absolutely horrendous. The only positive experience with Wilson’s for as long as I can remember was an older female vet at a different branch who was lovely with my dog. The best thing to come out of Wilson’s for us was the referral to the specialist, we now go direct and book in for any similar issues and skip Wilson’s all together due to severe lack of confidence in their care and abilities.

My dog was badly injured by another dog 5 months ago. Vet Jeremy and all his nurses brought him back from the brink! I can't praise them highly enough. They are all so caring and friendly and all the receptionists are included in this.

Highly recommended, great service, really fantastic vet who showed such care and continued support should weneed it.Costs were explained throughout, which made it less awkward and easier to decide the options given to us. Was expecting a much higher bill with it being a Saturday so real value for money as it wasn't as much as we thought. Registered my other animals here as so impressed with the care we recieved. Thank you Kathryn 😊

We highly recommend Wilson’s vets. When another vet wanted to put our dog down Wilson’s saved her and she is back to being a healthy fun loving dog again. All staff, vet’s, receptionist, nurses are extremely supportive, professional and caring. If you want a vet you can trust then definitely use Wilson’s.

Both my dogs get ear infections and I was in a few times over 12 mo the for my alsatian, he needed sedation for vet to look in his ear and take a swab, they called me as soon as he'd woke up as they knew I was worried. They contacted my insurance and even managed to backdate my insurance claim so I ended up getting my previous money back I would highly recommend wilsons, they're not cheap, but no vets are, but they're certainly worth every penny

Not at all impressed. Saw a very arrogant vet who was so busy not listening to me they wrote my dog's notes on another dogs records. Have moved to a much better practice where my dog's health is more important to them than the potential to earn them lots of money. Wilsons quoted between £600/£800 for dental treatment which my new vet charged me less than £400 for.

Wilson Vets are the best vets we have ever used. They care about your animals and it shows. The staff are always very attentive, kind and professional. The service they provide is second to none.

Had to have my dog put to sleep a few days ago. Didn't get the vet's name, was an Asian lad, he was really good with her and friendly and seemed to genuinely care. Received a card through the post about the loss of her with forget-me-not seeds inside. Thought that was nice of them.
