I have had such a good experience so far working with Greenlight. The house i work at is friendly, well staffed and the support you receive is amazing. I started as agency and loved the house and staff so much i applied for a job with Greenlight to work there specifically. Every shift i learn something new and staff put the customers first, they genuinely care! It is a place of inclusion which allows you to be yourself and have fun at work. Its not all sunshine and rainbows and you are working with some challenging behaviour but it is one of those jobs where you get home and think.. I joined Green Light in May of this year and have never looked back. Green light treat their employees as part of one big family and with the up most respect. I joined Green Light in 2014 as a support worker, unsure of where the role would take me, fast forward a few years and I am now the Registered Manager of a small rural home. The whole team at Green Light are super supportive, both at the main office providing support to us all and in the home itself. My experience of working for Greenlight is full of memories I will cherish forever! I worked for Greenlight for 3 years firstly as a support worker and then as a senior support worker. I will never forget the bonds I made with the individuals I supported and the rest of my team. Every day is slightly different but generally you support someone to live through their day with the best possible quality of life. I'd support someone to complete their self care, keep their home clean and tidy, cook and eat delicious meals, socialise, engage in meaningful activities and even go on holiday! A typical day may include picnicking by the seaside, helping someone tidy their garden, enjoying a world class roast and maybe having a clubland dancing party! There is a real family vibe, it almost felt like my second home. I found it very rewarding supporting someone to manage their anxieties and navigate the challenges of life. Greenlight as a company always made me feel valued and respected, I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future :)

I joined Green Light in 2013 and it was my first role in the care sector. From the beginning Green Light were supportive of my wishing to progress with my career and I was made aware of the opportunities available. I have also been able to gain additional qualifications and develop as a trainer for the induction groups. I became Registered Manager for a new service this year and this experience has been incredible. I have an amazing team who work together to help the people we support achieve the things that are important to them.

I have worked with Green Light as their HR Manager since joining in January 2020, and found a warm welcome from everyone here. For about a year now, I've been working with Green Light helping to build their brand and drive recruitment, as well as documenting the incredible collection of people who work for the company and the people they support. I would like to say that I am on my 3rd shift at Greenlight establishments. I have worked in numerous establishments in my 40 years as a Health and Social Care professional. I am so taken with the Geeenlight’s staff support of their customers. The real care that the staff have for those they support is unbelievable. They support everyone as they would if they were their own family members. It is heartwarming to see. Really uplifting.

I have recently completed my fourth week of induction training with Green Light and I'm finding the management and colleagues to be both very supportive and encouraging. I am currently a serving Fire fighter of 28 years and looking beyond my career for a different but equally fulfilling role which Green Light have accommodated by allowing me to work as a relief support worker around my full-time fire service role. I am very grateful for this opportunity because it removes the anxiety for me of knowing what to do when I retire from the fire service in just over two years time. I carried out several Mental health courses prior to joining Green Light but have no previous knowledge of Autism and Learning Disabilities, the training covers everything you need to know. The training is really engaging and delivered in a positive, friendly way which I have really enjoyed. The actual work is really interesting and fulfilling and I get a real feeling of contentment from making a difference to the people we support, witnessing their empowerment and living life to the full is so rewarding. I have worked for Green Light for 4 years, I had no prior experience working in care. Green Light provide all the training and support you need from the excellent management team and the knowledgeable behaviour analysts. The training really helped me understand my role and about Autism and other learning disabilities. No day is the same in this job and I learn new things every day. We support people to take part in different activities every day, we promote independence and for people to live a life they are proud of. Work/life balance is very important to me, this job is very flexible which means I rarely have to miss out on events in my personal life. Greenlight is a care company that really cares! Having high standards across all homes. There is a superb workplace culture within the teams & its clear they work well together. After 2 years with Greenlight I still enjoy & look forward to coming into work! Seeing the people we support completing tasks & enjoying being out in the community is fabulous to be part of! There is plenty of training & support making sure we are kept up to date at all times. Managers are approachable & teams friendly, making it a warm & welcoming place to be.

I often reflect on how my day, week, month and year has gone for me and this past year for me has been huge. Nearly 3.5 years ago I was talked into giving the role of Support Worker a go and thought how hard can it be? It has not been but a role that is full of fun, lots of achievements and so very rewarding. We work with some amazing people who challenge us to give them a lifestyle they deserve and the only real limits are our imagination. I was full of nerves on day 1 walking into the home where I work, and still do, and little did I realise what a huge change in the young mans life and how much he evolved in the 3 years I worked alongside him and an amazing team of people who helped him achieve so much. My short career at Greenlight has seen me move from Support Worker to Senior Support Worker and now a Deputy Manager. I have been trained, supported and encouraged all the way by colleagues and management. It's a really good place to be when you are valued by all those around you.

This job is amazing, i didnt have experience, but the training covered everything I needed to know made me feel more confident and i enjoyed the training alot not forgetting the support i got being dyslexic they really did help me and support me threw this ! A day at work it doesnt feel like your working alot of the time enjoying nice days out and going for walks, the most rewarding part of my job is seeing the people we work with smile its such a lovely exprience and so rewarding you actually feel like you have made a diffrence . Greenlight is a really good company to work with i would never look back !
