Had been on my list to visit for quite a while. Good meats and cheeses, and beer options. I'd love to come back for wine. Unfortunately the bread was a bit sad. Need a bit more effort to add accompaniments to the boards as other than the high quality meat and cheese they are a bit basic. Unfortunately we had much better similarly-priced boards elsewhere (not local, Hampshire) the following week which lowered my opinion of this place slightly.

The food was so yummy, the service was very pleasant and it has a cosy friendly atmosphere about it. Would definitely recommend!

Have visited a few times since opening and cannot recommend V&B enough! Insanely good value on drinks, which are always served in lovely glassware and super cold. Staff are mega friendly and happy to help with recommendations even when it's busy too. As a plus size person I will say the seating isn't super comfortable or accessible for those with mobility issues as it's a lot of stools and metal chairs - but it hasn't put me off going back so far. The outdoor seating area is really lovely for a sunny day/evening too. Haven't tried the platters for food yet but will be back to try ASAP!

New wine and beer bar. There is also a shop and a spirits room with wines, beers, ciders and spirits from all over the world. Inside and outside seating, wine tasting session and a French inspired deli section if you want a snack with your wine. Very friendly staff and owners. Relaxed and safe vibe. Give it a try :)

Excellent beer, wine and music on Thursday. I would recommend this place if you like your cheese. The ground floor is small, with maybe 2 tables. The top floor is excellent, especially if they have live music playing. The cheese is sold by a french guy who really knows his stuff. Unfortunately, it was a little too smelly for me, not that the cheese was bad, it's just a personal choice. I'm sure a cheese lover would love this place. They have seating outside too, which I would recommend. The view you get outside is brilliant.

I have frequented this place multiple times since it has opened this year (2022), the selection of wine and beers is unparalleled in Northampton. I have also purchased some of their wines available in the shop, all of which were well received. I am looking forward to going to one of the many events that they host in-house for some speciality tastings! Thanks V&B, look forward to my next visit!

Absolutely love V&B Wine Bar in Northampton! This place is a gem with its fantastic selection of French wines that you can enjoy right at the bar or take home. The owners and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and always ready with spot-on recommendations. But it's not just about the wines – their beer shop and spirit room offer an impressive array of options, including French Rhum that's hard to resist. The variety of beers on tap or in bottles is a perfect; often spoilt for choice from IPAs, to stouts to sours. The wine and spirit tasting events here are top-notch. I had the pleasure of attending a whisky tasting with Lox, who expertly guided us through a journey of Scotch Whiskeys from different regions of Scotland. It was an educational and palate-pleasing experience and very good value for money. And let's not forget the food! From saucisson to cheese and other delectable nibbles, V&B knows how to complement their drinks with delicious bites. But that's not all – during the summer, the outdoor seating is a true delight. The atmosphere is electric, with DJs, open mic sessions, art gallery viewing, and even comedy nights providing excellent entertainment. Hands down, V&B Wine Bar is my favorite spot in Northampton. The combination of exceptional drinks, delectable food, friendly staff and clientele and lively events make it an unforgettable experience every time I visit. Fantastic choice of beers and wines. Friendly staff and small waiting times. Didn't have food as we visited at 10pm, but I believe they serve nibbles during the day. There was a very strange smell in there, couldn't work out whether it was the cheese they sell, it was sweaty in there or it was a bit of both! We sat outside though and the view was lovely.

We popped here for the first time today and had a couple of really good craft beers. It’s a lovely place with friendly knowledgeable staff. The building was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We will be back another time to buy some wine and try a cheese board.

Standout place in Northampton. Huge selection of wine and beer, great shop, knowledgeable staff. Casual and relaxed but always feels like a treat to be in there.

If you go to one place in Northampton, it has to be V&B. An amazing range of wines and a superb range of frequently-changing beers (including delicious stouts). Delicious olives, cheese and charcuterie to accompany the beverages perfectly.Beautiful surroundings, excellently laid-back ambience and extremely helpful staff. For locals, it's actually one of the few places worth going into town for.

Always a great range of beers on keg. Not to mention the well stocked fridges. The shop must have the widest variety of drinks to purchase in Northampton. Incredibly friendly and helpful owners.

This place is a hidden gem in Northampton ❤️ Excellent wine and delicious cheese boards! All the team are welcoming and friendly! They offer tasting nights and French classes too, just a breath of fresh air in Northampton.

Excellent selection of beer on tap with varying strengths. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Ideally situated if you want a drink before or after the Theatre, (2 mins walk).

Great place, cheeses, meats and the wines and spirits are brilliant. Just somewhere “good” to go in the centre without having to worry. Great idea and owner Florian and his wife are great “hosts”. The taster sessions also run there are great to attend (whisky tasting session done). Just 10:30pm comes round too soon!?!

This is our second visit since opening! Brilliant venue to spend a Saturday afternoon or evening. The wine is spot on, reasonably priced. The ambience is great, the service is first class and the cheese boards are a taste of cheese heaven. Great new addition to Northampton. Excellent location. Get your arses here for your evenings out ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing range of wines, beers (including continental on tap) and French- style bar snacks, we had great French cheese toasties, but they do cheese boards, charcuterie and so on. Definitely an oenophile place. We had fresh Delerium Tremens Christmas beer from Belgium. It was well-kept.
