I live locally and have had to send a number of parcels during this pandemic. There is a regular member of staff, an older lady, who is always working when I go in. I appreciate times are stressful with Covid-19, I don’t want to be out and about either. But this woman is extremely rude. The more you help me the quicker I can leave - so she’s really shooting herself in the foot by treating customers so poorly. Royal Mail need to reassess who they have working in this branch as some of their team are lacking in professionalism and basic politeness.

The rudeness of the woman behind the counter was absolutely disgusting. I asked politely for a stamp & she looked me up & down, muttered under her breath & sniggered, asking me if what i was posting was urgent!!! This vile woman should be shut in a room on her own, not let loose on customers.

I went in to Slindon Street Post Office today for a passport renewal & it was such an easy process. I was served by Diana who made the whole thing a breeze. If you need to renew your passport I’d highly recommend doing this through the post office - no more spending money on photos you’re not happy with from the booth or struggling with the forms!

Every time I come here and have to use the main desk I have left upset. There is one woman who works there that is extremely rude!! Never had customer service like it. Today was the last straw and I'm never going to Royal Mail again. I went in and she told me my parcel wasn't a large letter when it clearly was and she put it through. So I simply said that it went through without force when I did it. So she shouted ok you put it through then and chucked the parcel measure at me. Vile

Staff are clueless and require significant training. No procedures in place along with no management presence. Requested a DBS check and found staff cant read basic information. After 15 minutes of back and forth with a staff member been told that they cant do it. They can not do it because they do not have sufficient training but their colleagues in fratton had no issue doing it.This however cost time,money and nerves. The excuses were as followed 1. ‘You re application is wrong’.I phoned up DBS number and ask for clarification and they advised the application and paperwork are perfectly fine. 2. ‘The manager is not in’ even tho I requested a different opinion from a staff member so no sign of supervision what so ever. 3.’You filled it wrong.’ We proceed to do it together and all of a sudden my internet is not working. 4.Comments and remarks made everytime I tried to clarify ‘Ohh here he is again’ and also being backed by one colleague ‘Thats right’he said. 5.Ego inflated as the worker proceeded to tell me that she s been doing it for 10 years however cant read basic instruction off a tablet. I certainly believe this post office requires ample retraining and possibly a good conversation about lowering ones ego and understanding your job role and what it entails.

After looking on web, it was in same place as years ago Checked opening times. Arrived at 10.35 and found it shut. Notice on window saying shut/sorry. No reason given. Other customers said its been shut for 3 days at least. Y no posting on web about being closed. Wasted long bus journey for an OAP in the bitterly cold wind.

I went into the post office yesterday and just want to say I am very grateful for Paul’s help. I needed 2 photocopies of my passport quite urgently and he saved me a lot of stress by doing it for me, even though it’s not an actual service offered. He was very friendly and approachable. Thank you so much 😊

I much prefer coming here despite the bridge centre being much closer. Staff are friendly and helpful and knowledgeable and do their best to find you the cheapest postage available. It’s a big post office so can get busy but still normally in and out quickly.

Will not renew my license as dvla say they should .but keeps sending me to the other post offices no good can see why post office going out of business

Used the self serve for a package that needed tracking. I broadly got it right and a member of staff helped with my a post code error on the package and good advice on pricing. Helpful. Google business map listing needs opening times.

It’s closed today and will be tomorrow and they should mention here I traveled 4 hours today to get BRP from that post office and they simply said we are sorry with a sticky note it’s totally wrong

Use this post office regularly as well as others between Southampton and Portsmouth due to sending orders for my online site, would like to say that Sue, Sarah and Jancy serve me on a regular basis and always bring a smile even on some of the busier days. Would thoroughly recommend heading to this branch if you’re posting regularly as you’ll get the best service anywhere in town! Would give 10 stars if I could, keep up the good work guys 😁

It was a great experience today! I had a lot parcels to send, it really took time and patience, especially I’m not familiar with post service in the UK. Thanks to Sue for her help with kindness and patience, I had all my jobs smoothly done. All the staff members in this post office keep smiling to each one who sends and receives mails in here, this gives me a good mood for a whole day

Was served by Diana, she was very helpful and kind ensuring that I got the right envelope and right postal service. Had a letter of massive importance that needed to arrive within 2 days and after the service I received I have full confidence it will reach there in time. If I could give more stars I would!

i recently visited this post office and i found the staff very friendly and supportive, used mailing services and it was prompt and easy. also i had a very good experience with the service of a staff member Julie she was very helpful and supportive.
