👍👍 such a beautiful place, the scenery is England at its must beautiful and when we went there were so many wild flowers and the sound of the insects was glorious! quite a steep walk up, but then it is a hill fort! worth using the upper car park if, like me, you find walking more difficult. A great open space, brilliant views with lots of fun muddy trails and hills for the kids to get involved with! Only down side is that both car parks and the road between them can be full on busy days.

Lovely place to wander around, admire the view and soak up some history. For those that like walking it's good. If you don't like to walk too much you can park in the upper car park and it's a very short walk with a few seats if you don't want to venture too far.

A nice place to come and relax. Good parking and easy access to the iron age Fort, a real high point here and you can see for miles around as well as getting a nice sunset if your lucky enough.

Danebury fort is a wonderful, large, open space for anyone who wants a run around or a walk. Dogs can be walked in the designated areas; but not everywhere. Also, please note that there are some very steep hills on the site. Also, there is free ranging shetland cattle and horses. Large car parking area on site. Toilets are not currently available either. Never gets too busy to the size of the area. Summary: A good place to walk, but some things bring it down.

Lovely walking and area of beauty. Parking was fine, toilet facilities seem closed indefinitely and a great place to walk your dog.... be careful of the Highland cows they are stunning to watch.

One of the fences has been removed and there seemed to be additional highland cattle (the big shaggy ones with huge horns) and some lively ponies. As always it was quite busy with families and dog walkers.

Lovely walk up to the hill fort. All covered by grass but you can walk along the ramparts and easily see the moat. Beautiful countryside, trees and views. We visited on a Sunday, the car park was almost full but due to the size of the area, it wasn't busy. Tip: visit the shops in Stockbridge before hand and buy picnic food to enjoy at the Hillfort. Take your rubbish home with you as not many bins.

Good for a walk: park at the bottom just as you turn in for a slightly longer (and get more exercise with a bit more to climb) or park further up. There is a cattle grid to walk around if you walk up from the bottom. There is a toilet block here but it has been closed on every visit. There are no drones (or fireworks!) allowed at the site. Walking around the ring is good just be careful in the wet as it is narrow in places and can be slippery. There are some steps up near the entrance, those can be treacherous in the wet. Within the ring, it is very beautiful in all seasons. One local warning is that there is a problem with thieves so don’t leave any valuables in display in your vehicle and make sure it’s safely locked. Good views from the trig point as you come up: Stockbridge 4 minute drive from here if you want a drink afterwards: good luck getting a table at the pubs if you haven’t booked, though the deli there is a good alternative for a coffee and a rumination on your walk!

Absolutely stunning. I heard afterwards that sometimes it’s shut due to animal grazing so worth checking in advance if you’re coming from further afield. The views were outstanding and it’s so rare now to see that volume of wildlife and wild flowers. Well laid out. The toilets were closed on my visit.

I've always loved it here. Come at different times of the day and at different times of the year and the landscape and the light changes accordingly. Whenever I'm here I find myself imagining what it would have been like for the original inhabitants.

Beautiful walk - well equipped for visitors, with 2 good size car parks (one at the bottom of the road if you’d like an extended walk) and one at the top of the gravel path. There is good signage, toilets at the car park, a dog poo bin and stunning views. There are also 3 adorable well behaved highland cows! So please keep your dogs on a lead when in their field. Enjoy ☺️

Beautiful area to walk. Stunning views. Good sized areas for car parking. Can walk around the top of the hillfort or round the bottom. Lovely wooded areas. Do have toilets but weren't open when we visited.
