I had lens replacement at Optimax 3 years ago. The service was great but I have been left with very dry eyes. I have been to the hospital several times and they advised me that the surgery had caused the problem. I did day before surgery that my eyes were quite dry but then the representative at Optimax said they were fine so I went ahead with the procedure. I was discharged from Optimax but have developed postural gel detachments in both eyes which blur my vision too. I really need punctual plugs fitted to help with the dryness. I had them done on the NHS as an emergency as I had 12 abrasions on my eye which were excruciatingly painful. My eyes were so much better but unfortunately they don’t stay in forever and sadly they dissolved after 6 months and came out. I phoned Optimax to see if I could get one plug fitted into my left eye which is the most sore. Was told £50 consultation fee and £150 for fitting. It took the consultant 2 minutes in A and E. I am now not in a financial position to pay this as I needed to help care for my elderly parents so am not earning a wage and I am so sad that I have been left in this way. Please, please, do think very carefully about having lens replacement as they don’t all end well.

Absolutely amazing experience at this clinic and I know have perfect vision! From the start of the process to the after care appointments, the staff have been amazing. They have shown great care and explain every part of the process so well. In particular, Kelly was amazing from the outset to explain what will happen and what stages are coming and shared her experiences which helped. Also the optician Arif made me feel like I was in the right place. He is so knowledgeable about the different techniques and has a way of explaining them so anyone can understand. He has great patient manner and I always enjoy the appointments with him. Even in aftercare he always looked after me and made sure all my concerns were answered and I felt at ease. The surgeon was also very professional and personable. On the day she made me feel at ease and the surgery was done in 10 mins. All this let me know I came to the right place here. Other clinics (Optical Express) try to sell a big marketing gig but here it's brilliant service and my vision has been amazing since my surgery and it didn't cost as much as other clinics. This was the best investment I've made!

I underwent Laser Eye surgery with Optimax over six weeks ago now and I can't fault the experience at all. From initial query, to consultation & 'surgery' date, the team were helpful, honest and completely transparent with regards to treatment, costs and recovery. My second consultation was here and I found Optimax to be a much better option over the first company I visited. The first felt quite pushy towards a decision on treatment, but there was no pressure to go ahead from Optimax. Following consultation, the fee the first company were to charge was much higher than originally indicated. This was not the case with Optimax, who have a fixed fee per eye, with no hidden costs. Six weeks on & my vision has fully recovered. I suffer from allergies and dry eyes any way, and as a consequence of the surgery, the dryness has got a little worse. However, this side effect, is easily treatable through regular use of dry eye drops & was made clear to me before surgery. It is definitely worth it to not have to worry about glasses or lenses! Overall, the team in Leicester, notably Kelly, who was my 'patient adviser', Deepak, who helped prep me for the procedure and worked on reception, as well as my surgeon Dr Bhojani, have all been shining examples for Optimax. A honest, friendly and warm team. I truly would recommend the procedure & Optimax themselves, to anyone. David Martin

Fantastic clinic! I had LASIK and a very good experience with Optimax, they were very nice and helpful. They were so nice during the procedure, the surgeon was very reassuring and made sure I was staying calm as I was nervous when I went into the procedure room. They explained all of the eyedrops and aftercare things I need to do. During all of my appointments before and post surgery they were professional and very helpful. Most importantly the information such as risk etc. were very well explained. I definitely recommend this place and the price is very reasonable compared to other places I went for consultation.

I had my Lasik treatment two weeks ago and I still can't believe that I can now clearly see without contacts or glasses. I had - 4.00 diopters for both eyes and do have now 0.00. It's just incredible! I had my pre check and all aftercare in Leicester and the eye laser treatment in Birmingham (as they offered an appointment on a Saturday). Both clinics and their teams have been fantastic and I can definitely recommend Lasik treatment with them.

Fantastic, highly recommend from the initial consultation. I am now just over 2 weeks post surgery for lens replacement. The staff are professional yet very friendly and caring and certainly not pushy. I had all the tests and information to make an informed decision. I want to thank them all Mr Stephenson , Arif, Camila , Kelly and all the other staff. My care and attention has been the very best . Optimax is cheaper than their main competitor and not as pushy. I can honestly say my outcome is amazing.

I would thoroughly recommend Optimax in Leicester for lens replacement surgery. I'm so glad I took the plunge. I have my vision back with no glasses or contact lenses. The procedure itself only caused mild discomfort and the incisions healed very quickly. All the staff gave excellent customer service - non-clinical and clinic; nothing was too much trouble.

After needing glasses all the time for the past 6 years, I was finally suitable for laser eye surgery. I began shopping around through various providers until I decided Optimax was by far the best. All the staff were professional and pleasant and I’m extremely grateful. I had my Lasik surgery done at Optimax & I could not be happier. From start to finish. I went to Optiamax after going to other companies all of whom I felt were quite sales orientated. Optimax were calm, understanding and really wanted me to understand the process and the procedure itself. Deepak is a great asset he answered all my questions and ensured all my pre checks were completed as well as the courtesy follow up calls and since post surgery. Alongside my optician since really nice guy and made me feel at ease.The day of the surgery went well the surgeon I had was amazing. I kept flinching and her patience was surreal. Post procedure was explained well & the lifetime after care package is a bonus in itself. I have since been for my follow up checks and any drops I have needed etc have been given freely. I have worn glasses since I was 11 years old and contacts since I was 16. I had accepted this would be forever however after turning 40 I decided to face my fears and have laser eye surgery! All I can say is WOW! The whole process from start to finish was smooth, informed and patient centred. Every member of staff I came into contact with was professional, kind and caring. I felt confidant in whole process and all risks had been explained and explored. The laser itself was uncomfortable but was over very quickly. Within less than 24hrs I had driving standard vision and on my second check up I was told I no longer had a prescription! I had lens replacement surgery and i can honestly say, the service i received was above excellent. Very friendly people willing to help in any way they can. I cant mention any single one of them as they were all great and very helpful. I still have a way to go with full recovery but my eyes now without glasses are excellent and improving day by day. I fully recommend Optimax all the way.

Can't speak more highly of my experience with Optimax Leicester. Everyone was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. After wearing glasses for 14 years I decided to bite the bullet and get LASIK. It has been the best decision I've ever made. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes. The procedure was quick, no pain what so ever just a bit of pressure on the eye. I would highly recommend Optimax. I had been deliberating laser eye surgery for about 2/3 years and finally decided this year to bite the bullet and book a consultation with Optimax in Leicester. 2 months on i've now had the procedure and can't recommend them highly enough. All of the staff (with Kelly in particular) made the entire experience from start to finish very comfortable and have followed up with superb aftercare. If you're considering getting it done and don't know where to go, I'd recommend them to anyone.
