Nice bouldering gym. Small but plenty of good problems to tackle.

Granted, not the biggest gym in sq ft, but it's jam packed with great problems. I've been going just over a month now and the staff are always amazing. Rates are great and with their first timer offers, I've been able to get some of my colleagues into the sport (which they now love). 5/5, would rate higher if I could.

My wall of choice when I'm working in Hull. Thoughtful problems set by climbers, well ventilated and lots of natural light. Run by a friendly couple who clearly care loads about climbing and the wall. Good atmosphere and a personable vibe.

Really warm, welcoming place. I only started climbing recently and Mike and Amanda have been really helpful and friendly. Also the food here is 10/10, I tried the Thai Red curry and was amazed!

Love this place and so do my kids! The climbing walls are well thought out, with plenty of routes, for ALL abilities. The routes are changed regularly to keep things interesting, challenging and fun. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are happy to offer advice to help you improve. The food is delicious, home cooked, and great value for money. If you’re new to climbing and don’t have your own gear, you can hire the equipment. I don’t usually write reviews but I’m happy to make an exception for Mad Volume, Hull, because I can’t fault it. The facility, staff, food, value, and overall experience really benefits from the personal touch and passion that Mike and Amanda have clearly poured into their business. On top of all of this, it’s great for your health, it’s exciting and great for mental wellbeing. If you want to try climbing, this is the place to go.

Amazing for bouldering at all levels. The staff are really friendly, the food is great and the bouldering options are perfect for a relaxed session or a harder workout. Upstairs you will find fairly standard sized walls with options ranging from easy to very difficult, but unfortunately there is only about one metre of slab climbing. Downstairs are the more competition style walls, as well as hangboards for warm-ups and training, as well as 2 tension boards with option from f5 to f7.

Been here twice now and had a really good experience both times. Mike and Amanda are really welcoming and friendly, especially for beginners like me! Also excellent local coffee and homemade cake as well. Would recommend to anyone who wants to try climbing for the first time.

Friendly staff, good vibes and amazing food and drink. Fabulous facilities from the climbing wall through to the yoga studio and wash room facilities. Love the kilter board too, easy to use. Great social areas with sofas and community buzz.

I can't recommend this place enough! Friendly atmosphere, new climbs every week, delicious food, and reasonably priced, especially when you become a member. Mike and Amanda are really nice and clearly have a lot of passion for this business.

👍👍 Had a really good time. Looks easy, but not so easy when you're on the walls - even for an adult!!! Good duration, too. Just the right time to try lots. Longer and kids would get bored. Third visit, and still enjoyable!
