Waited in call queue for 2hrs+ and then gave up trying to get through. Just noticed ā€˜South Birmingham treatmentā€™ on phone bill- Ā£30. My asthma was bad due to getting flu and had no inhalers and was in a bad way. Called my GP but receptionist could only offer me this service number. Never got medical assistance, Ā£30 down and 2hrs lost hanging on the phone when I was really sick for nothing šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. Starting to think my only option is to risk buying my medication online since I canā€™t access any professional medical assistance through GP or this so-called ā€˜urgent treatment centerā€™

I want to take this chance to say thank you Dr Tolba for your patience listening to all my son medical problems and did your best to examine him and give useful tips and guidance for the future. it is been great that my son was seen by him as he assured me and give us the time we needed to ask him about my concerns.

This place deserves so much more credit than it gets. Itā€™s honestly never let me down any time I have needed it. I called today at 8am with my problems and I was called back by 9:15am and a prescription faxed off to my local pharmacy. The receptionists are helpful and full of empathy and the doctors always call you back and WILLING TO LISTEN which is what most doctors surgeryā€™s are lacking at the moment. Thank you :)

Contacted during the Easter bank holiday weekend when GPs were closed, and what an amazing experience. The receptionist and doctor were so helpful and genuinely concerned about my health, from ringing in the morning I got a call back within a couple of hours. The doctor also helped me find a local pharmacist that was open for me to pick up the prescription. All in all a couple of hours to sort out what I needed and be able to get on with my day without worrying all weekend until GPs were back open on the Tuesday. Thank you so much to the people who work there, you really help when people are in need.

Turned up on a Saturday morning to be told they're not walkin centre anymore. They still accepted to see us for an appointment and looked after us. Grateful for the treatment received.

I visited the walking center with my son a few weeks ago, we saw Dr Tolba who was amazing with us. He took his time to build a rapport with my son who is usually defiant which led to him allowing the doctor to examine him. I wish there were more doctors like Dr Tolba.

I was seen today by a very lovely male Asian doctor. I was referred by 111 and was offered an appointment within 3 hours. The doctor (sorry I didnt catch his name) was very warm, sincere and friendly. I felt very comfortable with him and he did not rush my appointment. The doctor gave me a full examination and also tested my urine. I was advised I had a viral infection and the appropriate advice and care was given by the doctor. Many thanks for seeing me. All the best.

What a wonderful experience we had this morning. The lady at the reception was so helpful and accommodating. We were seen by a lovely doctor within about 5 minutes and he was amazing with my daughter who has special needs. He diagnosed with tonsillitis and sent the prescription to the pharmacy. This place really restored my faith in the NHS today.

While I canā€™t fault the GP I saw this morning as she was wonderful and so friendly and nice, the receptionist was incredibly rude and honestly quite condescending. My experience with the receptionist this morning has completely ruined my experience at this UTC and Iā€™m not sure if Iā€™d ever go back despite receiving good medical treatment here. To begin with, she cut me off while explaining my problems to her on the phone and acted as if I was wasting her time. I was then told the clinician would phone me, which she did, and she booked an appointment with me. When I turned up at the UTC for my appointment, I was shouted at through the intercom telling me I had missed my appointment before I even had the chance to say what my name was. After being let into the centre, she was then rude to me again, reiterating that I had missed my appointment but said ā€˜it was fineā€™ as she rolled her eyes. In a panic, when the GP called me in I apologised to her for being late - she told me I wasnā€™t and that I had come in on time! While I appreciate that everybody has bad days, after working in a customer-service role myself I have never once treated anyone the way I was treated this morning, and honestly I felt so belittled. When you are already feeling deathly ill, the last thing you want is for somebody to shout at you through the intercom before youā€™ve stepped into the building?? I am not the type of person to leave reviews but I was actually appalled at the way she spoke to me and believe that her behaviour needs to be addressed. You cannot work in a facility where patients are being seen to and treated if you do not have a single ounce of care or respect for them, especially as the first face they see upon entry to the building. Aside from that, I would just like to say this is no longer a walk in centre but you can be seen on the same day if you book an appointment. I was pleased with how quickly I was seen.

Couldnā€™t thank the staff and the doctor who called me within 30 mins and asked if I was able to come in baring in mind this was after 5pm as I was unable to get a doctors appointment at my GP turned out I had an eye infection so grateful I was about to be able examined by a doctor. Thank you so much!

Great service. Met Dr. Shakir and he was absolutely great 11/10. My 20 month old baby was very, very sick despite giving calpol and brufen and we had no idea what to do because 111 and the pharmacist didnā€™t offer any help. We went to the childrenā€™s hospitalā€™s A&E and didnā€™t even get to meet a doctor! Finally met the doctor from this service on the same day and he was very patient and nice, he prescribed the appropriate medications and now my baby is well!

Listed on Google as a walk-in centre. It isn't walk-in any more. However, they will and do accommodate you provided they are quiet and you are patient and polite w staff. Was seen within 7 minutes of my walk-up and got proper examination, diagnosis, prognosis within 10 further minutes. Helpful professional engaging staff. Didn't affect my copay, or deductibles. Sorry, wrong country!

Excellent service from Receptionist. GP was warm and friendly 11/10 Had to return 22 April because my own doctors don't care about their patients. Saw Tony at the Walk-in centre today..what can I say. He was amazing all medical personnel should get training from him..looked after me do well thank you Tony.

This service used to be brilliant as a back up to my excellent GP. However my experience this week was immensely disappointing and has left me more scared than before I called. My chronic/long term condition was written off as something everyone gets, and I was given advice which runs contrary to two different hospital consultants I have been under long term, as well as the advice from my own GP. I felt condescended and patronised, and felt I was treated as hysterical over what is a very serious long term medical condition, with multi-co-morbidities. I am in tears as so scared, and don't know what to do, my pain levels are up at an 8/10, yet this was dismissed as something everyone gets. If you have serious underlying medical conditions, such as lupus, leukaemia, heart or neurological conditions: go to a&e, this place is no longer what it was. Whomever this new doctor is, they don't listen and will treat intelligent people who have both medical training and have extensive knowledge of their own conditions as simpletons and time wasters: talking over, dismissive, not allowing a patient to get three words out, and thinking they know better than hospital consultants who have been treating the patient long term (giving advice which is contrary to that of the hospital consultants -- which is immensely arrogant to think they know better than the consultants). The two stars are due to the reception staff who remain excellent.

Absolutely fantastic. After calling receptionist I was told a doctor would phone me back. The doctor phoned within an hour, listened and genuinely came across as caring. Couldn't be more helpful. A prescription was sent to my local chemist of my choice within another hour. Absolutely brilliant. I would recommend them 100% outstanding

I was very pleased with my experience at South Birmingham Urgent Treatment Centre. Specifically, experience with Dr.Tolba. He was very attentive, caring and spent time discussing my health issue. I appreciated his willingness to answer all my questions and get my problem resolved. It is nice meeting him and be treated well.

Absolutely amazing service from all staff. The doctor was so friendly and helpful with us - made my daughter calm - she usually hates getting a check up. He was so patient and approachable that it made the experience remarkable. Wish I could give more stars
