Worth a visit! Beautiful view of the viaduct and the lake and mountains behind. Thereโ€™s a parking lot and you can pay at the machine. And thereโ€™s also a visitor center but when I arrived it was already closed. Still we had no problems to go up to the viewpoint.

Great place to catch panoramic view of the Glenfinnan viaduct. It is a 5 min climb from the parking, however there isnโ€™t much space on top to accommodate too many people. It is advisable to walk to the viaduct (20 min walk) and find a suitable spot to enjoy the views of the train passing through the viaduct. There is a gift shop was well to buy souvenirs.

Only a true Harry Potter fan can know the feeling. It was very quick as train passed very fast i would suggest to go the other side or the river and make a bit of a climb to have a better view with perfect experience. Usually train comes at 3:15 everyday. It comes twice a day. I donโ€™t know the other time as we went to see that at 3:15 but before all of my friends reach up with me it was late for them luckily i got to see this beautiful creation. I would also suggest to be bit early on time usually timings are 3:15 but train comes bit early sometimes for like 2 to 3 minutes so just to be on safe side. Cheers thank you for reading and have an amazing experience.

Great viewpoint and easy hike. Youโ€™ll love it especially if you are a Harry Potter fan. The steam train runs 2 times a day so if you time it right you can see the steam train come around the viaduct which is pretty cool (double check with the visitors center as they will be able to confirm, etc)

Nice to drive up to this location. Unfortunately it wasn't a clear sunny day; 1st week of November. Enjoyed the breathtaking scenery when walking by the river from the car park which is available on a fee. Actually we have seen another taller and larger bridge couple of days after this trip on our way to Inverness. But I think this has become the most popular because of the movie Harry Potter.

Great point where to get your first photos of the bridge from the distance and the lake. You have to walk a little but it is not that hard. Be careful on rainy days with slippery surfaces and rocks, it is also a little bit muddy. If you want to see the bridge from close this is not the place. you most go further closer.

Nice centre, lovely view up Loch Shiel + the monument to visit. A walk up behind the centre gives you a view of the viaduct too (and if you time it right the steam train in Summer) As a village, it's swamped by too many visitors, and far too many campervans everywhere all Summer. Take care and pick your time ๐Ÿคž

Amazing scenery.... Get there early! Staff had blocked off the car park to the road and weren't allowing more cars in although we spotted 5+ spaces that were empty! We parked up the road on the left in a layby after the coffee shop

Great place to visit, nice walk for the whole family with breathtaking views. For Harry Potter fans its a must. Easy to walk path, however to get to the view point was rather muddy and rocky, so access for some might be limited.

Heavily hyped viaduct viewpoint due to Harry Potter movie. It is right by the side of the road itself but parking fee is 3.50 which is valid till midnight, even though you may just need 5-10 to hike up there. There is no timed parking fee. Total day light robbery exploiting the visitors

Lovely snack type cafe and gift shop. Good sized car park with access to both the 'Harry Potter' viaduct and the Bonny Prince Charlie Monument.

Beautiful location wonderful views even in the rain. Lovely walk for doggies and kiddies scenery was stunning Harry Potter railway ๐Ÿ›ค looked like dementors were going to pop out. Fantastic. Quote busy so I expect its pretty packed on sunny days

Absolutely beautiful place. It is ofcourse the best on a sunny day but to be honest It doesn't matter if it rains, it's snowy etc it's absolutely stunning. There is 2 car parks, but it's crazy busy so arrive in plenty of time and be prepared to make couple of attempts to get in the car park. Both viewpoint can get muddy and slippery at times so have a good footwear. Cafe and shop with toilets close at 4pm.

Unmatched beauty right here. As a potterhead I was super excited and it didn't disappoint. The viewpoint is 5-8min of walk uphill, not too bad even for a light active person. Plenty of spaces to get a good view of the steam train

What an amazing view point. It was such a beautiful day for a walk and to watch the Jacobite ramble along the viaduct totally made it worth it ๐Ÿ‘โ˜บ๏ธ

The place is quite serene and, coupled with the train, makes the experience amusing. Thus, even if I had been aware of its association with the Harry Potter movies, I would have still loved being here. But even if you have a little clue about Harry Potter, this place is priceless!

Spectacular scenery with easy to reach viewpoints. The monument is very impressive but the viaduct is made of concrete and is quite small (especially compared to ribble head!). There are 2 large car parks but both were very full even mid week. The on site cafe is very small with very slow service.

Nice picturesque spot to see the steam train going over the viaduct. Just be sure you're on the right side of the bridge to capture the front. Also the train schedule is not totally correct but it's kind of worth the wait!

What's not to like really? If you're headed here, you're going for the view not the convenience๐Ÿ˜† It's worth checking the train times in advance, but still beautiful and quieter when there's not one due. There are several nice things to visit, the memorial with Loch views and the forest paths. The visitor centre has great food, plenty of (paid) parking, souvenirs and free toilets.

Get there early as it gets rather full before the train comes. We used the community car park much bigger and blue badge holders park for free. Very accessible for wheelchair users and a very photographic

Be there for the morning train for better photos. Be there before 10.45am just to be safe. Train was spectacular for any Harry Potter fans! Lots of midges at the viewpoint. Come with a midge repellent !

Beautiful scenery. The jacobite steam train can be seen up close. Good Cafe and tourist centre on site. Must visit for all Harry Potter fans! The visitor centre and toilets close at 5pm - but you can walk to the view point and also to the viaduct. Parking on-site, paid - ยฃ3.5 for the whole day.

What a beautiful place! Loch Schiel is peaceful and stunning and across the way is the Viaduct where you will hopefully see the Jacobite Steam Train crossing. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes with traction as it can get very wet and slippery.

Beautiful place to stop for a visit for people of all levels. Walk the short walk to the monument, small hike to the viewpoint, or bigger hikes up into the mountains. For the Harry Potter fans, be sure to check out the Viaduct. If you want to see the Jacobite train check schedules and seasons. It does not run in the wintertime. Be sure to stop in for some coffee and pastries at the coffee shop.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ This is a beautiful area regardless of how much you like Harry Potter. There are hidden trails that lead to unique viewing points if you look for them and have some decent footwear. We enjoyed seeing the Jacobite Steam train on the last day it ran for the 2021 season.
