Disappointing experience for me, I compare all ramen places to Japan and it just doesn't match up to the very high standards in Japan. Inside it's nicely decorated, customer service is good, menu is OK, all the ramen is tonkotsu based. The broth is OK but it lacks depth and flavour, the ramen itself was a little chewy, I prefer harder ramen which is the norm for tonkotsu. The egg had no flavour, it needed marinating, plus the yolk wasn't slightly runny is how I like it. The chashu was seared but it was over seared as it made it tougher rather than just a little crispy in my view, also it could have done with more flavour and being softer. The karaage chicken was nothing special, it was a little over cooked, and should be juicier in my view. It's difficult to say which place is better between this and shoryu, as both have things that I find disappointing. If you've never had ramen in Japan then you probably will like it here, but if you have then you will be disappointed like me.

We expected so much from this place for their Ramen… it was super disappointed ☹️ ramen soup base were so light and watery and the noodle itself is not high quality, the best part in ramen was the meat, very thick and have that charcoal taste to it… I would give that ramen 2 stars… They have a very small menu so was expecting high quality… unfortunately ramen not up to standard. On the other hand… the rice with pork and other dishes were amazing!!!!!! Specially the chicken, crispy outside, tender and juicy inside… There will be a queue as seats are quite limited, advise to come early, but I think the wait time is not too bad, as the setting doesn’t really allow you to sit and chit chat after food, most people come to eat and leave. Will I return? Maybe… not too soon x

I went with some friends recently and I felt in love with the place, the food and the staff. Everything was delicious and the waitress was super kind, always with a huge smile while talking to us. Also, the place has a cozy japanise-style decoration that helps to enjoy even more the meal. Just saying I came back two weeks later with another friend. He is now in love with this place too .

Very nice Japanese restaurant. Super attentive and helpful staff. One of them handed me some serviette after noticing me frowning because of some chilli oil on my hand. 5 stars for that. Food is decent. Had Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and soup lacks a bit of thickness and flavour. Maybe it is made to suit the British palate. Shop is not that big. Maybe avoid peak hours to avoid queuing.

We've been here twice now & I can't wait for our next visit! The food is fantastic (if you are NOT vegetarian/vegan) - high quality, right textures, & super-delicious - & the service is great even when very busy. The place offers a cosy atmosphere too. You may need to queue outside on weekends for half an hour or more but it's still worth it! Portions are generous & price is v reasonable. We've tried the following starters & mains and I'd recommend them all! Seaweed salad & chicken gyoza;; Chicken Curry Ramen; Chicken Katsu Curry; Duck Teriyaki Donburi; Beef Gyudon. Areas for improvement: Although the staff clean & sanitise the tables between customers, I'd still prefer if they would not put the spoon directly on the table, maybe serve it in a plate or on a tissue. Once I tried the Miso Tofu Ramen as take away & was very unimpressed. But as I said the meat dishes can't be any tastier. Toilets are downstairs so not really accessible for everyone. I'd still give it a 5* for our fantastic food experience! Thanks Ramen Kulture!

Small Japanese restaurant but the foods are really good. And the price is reasonable as well as clean. If you would like to taste, I can highly recommend 👍

WOW!! My partner and I have been trying to get ourselves here for a few months now but even in winter there was a queue out the door. We came on Saturday and were lucky at the time (early afternoon) that there wasn’t a queue. Our food was served within 10 minutes of ordering even though we ordered a load of dishes. The price was very keen and my lord was the food incredible. Perhaps the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. This is definitely going to be a regular spot from now on!!

Been here 3-4 times. Always delicious ramen, bill came to £100 for 4 people with one main each (ramen or donburi) plus a few sharing dishes (gyoza, takoyaki, kara-age etc) and beers. Very reasonable pricing and the quality of the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend the chicken kara-age and the classic tonkotsu ramen. You can't reserve, and all your party need to be present for you to be seated. Quieter times are 5pm. Queues often 10+ people deep at peak hours (around 6:30-7:30). Service is always efficient and friendly. You can also take home leftovers with a 50p per container charge. Nothing to fault here at all!

Small cozy ramen restaurant in Oxford. The location is very close to city centre within about 5mins walk. But the parking is utterly expensive it cost £6.6 per hour, so try not to drive there. The ramen is good, I ordered a duck ramen which is nice. Okonomiyaki skewer and tofu are also good, but the chicken wings are more like Korean fried chicken style, which I didnot anticipate that. Overall a good ramen shop in Oxford! Their rice looks yummy so I’ll try their rice dish next time when I visit.

A Worthwhile Visit to a Japanese Gem in Oxford After hearing positive reviews and seeing tempting photos of their ramen dishes, I finally had the chance to dine at this Japanese restaurant in Oxford. The ramens certainly lived up to their reputation of authenticity. I opted for the spicy Tan tan beef ramen and was genuinely impressed by the flavors. It was a satisfying and delicious choice. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant experience. My husband tried the octopus pancake and ebi tempura. He enjoyed both dishes and found them to be flavorful and well-prepared. Overall, this restaurant proved to be a decent spot for Japanese cuisine in Oxford. While I enjoyed the meal and the ambiance, it's worth a visit if you're looking for an authentic taste of Japanese flavors.

Small restaurant so expect it can be busy and Expect queues but worth the wait. Service is quick as you expect like in Japan The ramen was super delicious lovely textures from variety ingredients. Sweetcorn/seaweed/fried onions/woodear/ char siu pork. The ramen broth was flavoursome even my partner ordered a side to drink with her curry ramen.

It's a good Asian restaurant when you mainly see Asians dining in there :) - nice staff, good Japanese food for Oxford standards. Will be back.

The best ramen in Oxford. It's cooked by Asian guys and eaten by Asian people, and they know what they're doing. I also travel a lot and love ramen, so take my word for it. Also, please note that the room is very small and there is always a long queue. Therefore, if you decide to have lunch at 2 o'clock, you can actually do it no earlier than three o'clock.

The prawn curry was delicious, however the dish could have more prawns. My bf’s ramen was amazing and octopus pancake also. The dishes were light and we didn’t feel heavy after. Definitely a place to visit!

Great, comforting ramen soup chokeful of ingredients. The pork was really tasty with a slight char, though I'm not sure why they put pickled radish strips in it. Came just after they opened and they were almost full - testimony to their good food at reasonable prices.

Really tasty ramen. The broth was simply amazing, full of flavour, I chose the spicy one and for me it was a little bit too spicy. The noodles were out of this world. The service was helpful and very very friendly. The right place to go if you fancy some ramen. The place feels really authentic
