Jake has been attending Okami Martial Arts for around 4 years. He started out in the Little Dragons group as a complete novice, but made his way up to black belt and has since moved up to the Warriors group and is really enjoying it. Over the years he has grown in confidence and clearly feels very comfortable within the group. The service given to the students aswell as the parents is second to none, both in the dojo and through the social media platforms. I feel it was outlined most through the Covid times where the guys/girls at Okami managed to not only keep the training going through zoom/facebook but also managed to keep the children engaged. I cannot recommend Sensei Oz, Becks and the team anymore highly and I am confident they will guide Jake through his future training path towards his full black belt. Thankyou Okami, you are awesome !!!

My son attends little dragons. It has helped with his confidence immensely and he is learning great skills. He now has his first belt and he really enjoys attending. I’ve noticed the children learn and develop at different rates but sensei is great with the children ensuring they are all included and enjoy the class. My daughter has just turned 3 so is also now attending.

I started at Okami about 5 months ago and wow I love it! I decided to start to get my fitness back up to scratch after a health set-back and to start kickboxing gradings again (after a couple years out) and I can say it's honestly been amazing. Oz is super knowledgeable and is always teaching new things each week so I continue to get better with every session. Everyone is also really nice and have made me feel so welcome. Thank you so much for the motivation and support over the past few months.

Okami is an outstanding martial arts school that promotes respect, belief, self-determination and discipline. My little daughter thoroughly enjoys her classes and her confidence has grown tremendously over the past year. Also, it's not just for kids; there is an extensive program of adults Karate and Kickboxing classes which we as parents also join, making it a true family experience. If you're looking for a place to keep fit, learn something new and have fun in lockdown, this is the place to go! Highly recommended

From the first moment I began this class I knew I would be hooked for life. I was made to feel so welcome by Oz and his team that I have kept coming back every week for 7 years. The support and knowledge given by Oz and other members of the class is second to none. You can work supported at your own pace or are encouraged to push further with great guidance but everything is done to your ability. Fantastic class with family style environment, would recommend a thousand times over. Thank you Oz/Okami.

I have been coming here for a few months now. I was a bit unsure what I wanted to do either Karate or Kickboxing... Floyd and Oz both agreed I could do two weeks of each to see which one I prefer before I chose. I selected karate in the end it seemed to suit me better. It has been great for me everyone has been welcoming both other students and members of staff. It's often daunting no matter what age you are trying something new but I can honestly say that I really look forward to going karate each week. Its a great form of fitness and self control/awareness. It's not all just standing in a line with movements like you would think, usually each lesson is broken up into about 4 parts. Warm up and cool down, usually some technical aspect like Kata techniques then usually some partner work to learn new techniques and practice skills which is great!

This is such a great martial arts school. Oz and the team have helped and developed my son since the age of 2. He is now 4 and has grown in confidence and ability. I would definitely recommend Okami Martial arts for any age.

My son has been attending Okami martial arts for three years now. Karate has taught him confidence and respect. There are several members of staff who work hard to ensure the school runs smoothly and all throughout the lockdowns lessons continued virtually. Sensei Oz is fantastic with bringing out the best in all students and has been incredible helping to keep them all focused and motivated during lockdown. I would highly recommend Okami martial arts.

Okami has helped our family immeasurably...our son has grown in confidence and discipline, and loves attending his karate lessons. My partner has gained skills and friendships at his kickboxing classes. Just from being a family member of his students, Oz has welcomed me and made us all feel like we have always belonged with Okami. It really is a big family. Despite lockdown and the challenges we have all faced, Okami has been there every step, emailing out frequently, replying to any queries, and also taking time to reach out personally to make sure we are OK. It must be so hard to run a business in these times, but Okami has done everything in their power to provide the same amazing service that they did pre-pandemic. Thanks so much Okami.

Our son (10) started at Okami in the Warriors class just under a year ago; as a SEN child we were looking for an activity to help with his confidence, and improve his coordination, fitness, and attention. Learning karate has been great for his self esteem, and we have noticed improvements in his concentration and coordination - as well as the physical improvements our son can now count to 10 in Japanese, and is learning the Japanese names for different moves. The school has a very inclusive ethos, and sensei Oz and senpai Dan have both been really supportive of him, providing extra attention in class when he has struggled with something. Since he started his younger sister (8) asked to attend, and she has been really enjoying it as well. They have both made friends (which is something our son has struggled with at times), and the school encourages older students to be responsible for and help with the younger / newer students development. They are both always excited to go, and members can watch lessons remotely so we can see how much fun they have. My wife and I would definitely recommend Okami MA to anyone.
