Amazing private tour for a birthday party! The Wizard manages giddy children brilliantly. It's funny, intriguing and entertaining but he's brilliantly mindful to make sure no-one gets lost in what could be a busy city centre. Easiest party a parent will ever host! Wand kits are also a fabulous addition and alternative to party bags. Definitely recommend!!!

Had a fantastic time with the Wizard of York for my son's 9 to birthday party. Kids and grownups all loved the magic, jokes and fun and the Wizard made my son feel really special. Highly recommended family fun

This was simply AMAZING. The Wizard was hilarious. He had such a great rapport with the children. There was a big group of brownies in our session. He was so kind to message us beforehand to see if we still wanted to go ahead, or swap our session. We stuck with the original booking and he made a point of including my daughter who was stood at the back, behind the brownies. It absolutely made her day - we are grateful for this gesture to include the quieter children at the back. I highly recommend the walk to anyone visiting York. Well executed, hilarious and creative. We all just loved it. It also gives you the opportunity to see parts of York you may not otherwise see. Thanks so much.

A fantastic activity for the family! The children were involved and engaged throughout. My very nervous 5 year old, who started the tour sat on her dads shoulders, ended up walking alongside and chatting away with the very friendly and playful wizard guide, which warmed our hearts. My 7 year old is a massive Harry Potter fan and loved being immersed as a trainee wizard and using her wand to help cast the magic spells. Overall, this is the perfect way to end a family day out in York.

This was a fantastic thing to do, my kids (age 6 and 9) and in fact all the other kids in the group absolutely loved it, it was really magical, entertaining and funny! A good laugh for all ages. I'd recommend for both visitors and locals alike, we've lived in York for many years but it's still magical walking down the shambles in the evening. The wizard really engaged with all the kids, including them and chatting to them as we wandered to the locations and had the kids and adults alike laughing. It lasted just about the right amount of time and was very good value for a fantastic experience.

A wonderful walk with the Wizard of York. My kids (8 and 10) had a blast… magic and puns and gargoyle bums - what’s not to like?!?! The Wizard (Mr? Sir?) led us on a guided 1hr 15min walk starting from the bottom of the Shambles. Lots of fun and a great way to easily see more of the city. We also purchased the wand kit and had a lovely time after the walk practicing the tricks.

Wizard Walk of York What a great fun way to have a walk around York, fantastic family fun. Really enjoyed a relaxing hour or so being entertained. Great for all ages, take your sense of humour and couple of jokes too. Definitely get the wand pack for the children!! It’s lots of fun……

This is such a must for anyone able to make one of the tours. We booked the Wizard walk for our daughters 8th birthday party and the children (and the adults!) laughed all the way around from start to finish. The tricks are excellent, the jokes keep on coming and it's just honestly worth it in every way. Would 100% recommend and would 100% do it again. Thanks so much to the Wizard of York!

What a great way to spend a soggy afternoon in half term! Lots of giggles for all ages - my family aged 7-74 all had a wand-erful time! My 7 year old said it was “epic” and asked when she could go again and my parents said they’d recommend it to their friends and other grandchildren! We will be back!!

We all did enjoy the wizard walk , my 10 year old was hoping for some Harry Potter facts or things about York that related to Harry Potter . We enjoyed the tricks etc but would have liked maybe a bit more knowledge for the older child and adults thrown into the mix . It was a very enjoyable hour though .

I booked the tour for my 3 boys ages 3, 10 & 12. All 3 of them thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was fantastic!! Ww travelled 2 hours to York and even with the rain it was so worth it. Beautiful place and brilliant Wizard tour!

We've had a fantastic evening.... The wizard walk was first class and our son and his 3 friends (all aged 8) absolutely loved it. They were laughing from start to finish and so were the adults! We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The walk was engaging, interesting and fun. The guide wizard was so clever and entertaining. Thank you so much for making this tour so special. This is a highly recommended event.

We had a brilliant time on the wizard walk this afternoon my niece 7 and even my son at 16 loved it. He's funny and interactive and brilliant with the kids. I'd highly recommend.

It was great. The wizard is truly an entertainer. The jokes are very funny......sometimes. The tricks were very good, especially the wallet on fire and the droopie wand. The door mice were very interesting and funny. There are 22 cats and several gargoyles in ye old York. York Minster is very impressive. A very enjoyable way to pass an hour in York. Highly recommended. Especially for your inner child.

Absolutely phenomenal! Will definitely be returning to do the tour again. My 7 year old really enjoyed herself and I did too. The wizard was exceptionally funny and had me in stitches the entire time with his jokes. Very professional and patient with the younger kids. Recommending to everyone… even the muggles 🤣🪄

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! If you’re visiting York with young children, the wizard walk is a must! Our 9 and 5 year old absolutely loved it. Perfect group size which meant everyone could get involved with all the fun. We will definitely book again when we next visit York. Exceptional value for money and a well thought out route for little ones, making it a great little adventure without too much walking. It was a perfect end to a great day!

We took our daughter and a group of friends for her 7th Birthday party today. They all dressed up as witches and wizards and had such an amazing time. The Wizard kept us entertained throughout with plenty of jokes and great magic! Such an amazing experience for adults and kids alike. It’s not the first time we’ve been on the tour and I’m sure it won’t be our last! Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing time and fun had with the wizard of York! He had great humour and amazing wizardry! Would definitely recommend to anyone especially those with children it’s a good time had. My son absolutely loved it, whos just started watching Harry Potter.

Wow! When I say we’ve tried all the family activities in York, we really have tried ALL the family activities in York… and this one is truly special. The jokes, the magic and the historical tidbits all come together to provide an hour of sheer joy to children and grown ups alike. Quoted by my six year old boy as the best bit of our Easter trip to York, which is quite the accolade following a full day at Diggerland…!

We booked the Wizard Walk of York for our daughter’s 8th birthday as we knew it would be a unique party experience. Our daughter and her friends are just getting into Harry Potter and, whilst this is not a Harry Potter walk, the wizarding theme fit perfectly. Our daughter is also very into magic, so it was right up her street. Communication from the Wizard was great from start to finish. He even adapted the route slightly to avoid the crowds of Christmas shoppers. The birthday bunch were a lively and somewhat hyper crowd of 7- and 8-year-olds but the Wizard worked with them fantastically. He was not at all fazed by their eagerness and kept them captivated and engaged throughout. The children had a great hour of fun, laughter, and wonder. Even us adults were left questioning how the Wizard performed his feats – that’s magic! All the children were beaming throughout and the feedback from both children and the parent helpers who joined us was incredibly positive.

This was an absolutely brilliant experience. We went on the walk with our 3 children - 6. 10 and 13 - and all 5 of us were laughing from beginning to end. The 6 year old was particularly enchanted. Fantastic magic and loads of laughs and a fabulous tour of some of York’s magical streets and landmarks too. I highly recommend this tour to children and adults everywhere!
