My 20/20 vision was affected by COVID at the end of 2022 which led me to glasses in January 2023. Whilst I didn't mind the look of them, I found them very impractical during my shifts at work (Ambulance Service) and after a number of hours sore on my ears. I knew that at some stage during the year I'd get LASIK before renewing my C1 Driving Licence (and having to legally declare glasses). I started to look at the various Clinics in NI but was always drawn to Optimax, Belfast. I booked a consultation for the end of March and shortly after realised they were offering a £990 per eye deal. Fiona (Clinic Manager) rang me and introduced herself prior to my appointment. During the consultation I met both Fiona and Grainne (Optometrist), and whilst I was offered any treatment I wanted, Grainne wanted to see me again in June to be sure my prescription hadn't changed. I attended again in June and was re-assessed and given the green light for treatment. I booked for September (could have had sooner, but needed Annual Leave approved etc). So, on 5th September I had LASIK and 20hrs later at my first check up I had (very nearly.....could get 3 out of 5 letters) had my 20/20 back. My vision (6 days later) has continued to improve and I look forward to the final results. I've had no pain at any stage and just some mild annoyance of "cutting onions" and "an eyelash in my eye" sensations. Dr Damani was my Surgeon and was more than pleasant and professional. As someone who HATES anything eye related the treatment was more than bearable.

I was worried about getting laser surgery, but the team at Optimax were more than supportive and tentative. I have been wearing glasses since 8 and it is extremely liberating to final say goodbye to them and contacts. I am becoming more active in water activities such as swimming and rowing; especially on a more national level and having to wear glasses and contacts was becoming a problem. Now that I no longer need them, I am able to enjoy my sports more and focus harder on training. It’s fantastic being able to wear swimming goggles and rowing sunglasses without worrying about not being able to see if I forgot to put my contacts on or having to constantly wipe them. I highly recommend Optimax Belfast. I am so pleased at my results and wish that I had chosen laser eye surgery sooner. I cannot thank the team enough x

I would highly recommend Optimax, especially the Belfast clinic where I underwent my consultation and surgery. From my first appointment when I met Fiona and Valerie I was blown away by their high level of customer service and care given throughout the visit. The surgery itself, performed by Dr Damani, was a very straightforward procedure and I was at home resting in no time at all. Finally, the after care plan that I now have in place really fills me with confidence that I am in safe hands for my recovery period and would be very happy to recommend to anyone considering the treatment.

Can't believe I'm writing this without my specs 🤣 Absolutely blown away by the standard of vision I now have. I can't recommend the Belfast clinic highly enough. Totally professional at every step of the way. From my first consultation I could tell that this was the place and these were the people to put my trust in. I had been thinking about this procedure for years and wish I'd gone here ages ago. The procedure was painless and very speedy and Dr Damani is an amazing surgeon. Thank you to the whole team. 👌

Getting my eyes lasered is the best thing i have ever done. Optimax clinic in Belfast was amazing kerping me informed throughout. All the staff were excellant and made me feel at ease. Would definitely recommend using Optimax 👌

I wouldn't go anywhere else this is my second time needing treatment and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are amazing. Staff go beyond. They are friendly and helpful and answer all your questions. They keep keep up to date with all you appt and even check up on you after treatment. This place is the only place I would trust with my care

What a great place. From the consultation to the surgery, to aftercare appointments the staff were amazing. Was made to feel so comfortable. Surgery was a breeze, it was only just over a week ago so my full vision isn't quite there yet but it's not bad, considering I was a -7.5 in both eyes and obviously was blind as a bat lol I would highly recommend Optimax Belfast clinic. I had wavefront intralase lasik 2 months ago with Optimax Belfast and am absolutely delighted with the result. I was fortunate enough to take advantage of their discounted offer at that time and with a prescription of - 7.50, you can imagine how my quality of life has changed after the surgery. I cannot fault the team at all from the initial consultation to the aftercare. The surgery itself was quick and painless. It was a little bit uncomfortable afterwards as expected but the eyedrops provided really helped and after a few hours, I was back to normal and can already see the result. I'm 40 now and wished I did this years ago😅

Highly recommend Optimax in Belfast, the staff are absolutely fantastic. Fiona, Kelly, and Gráinne have been fantastic at helping me from the initial consultation until now, the courtesy call on the Saturday morning (the day) after my surgery from Fiona was just the nicest touch and really appreciated.

I had LASIK treatment at the Belfast clinic a week ago and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. I’ve worn contact lenses and glasses all my life so being able to see perfectly with no visual aids is life changing. Oh my goodness! I am totally blown away with the incredible results!!! 3 days after surgery and I have full vision. Cannot recommend the staff at Optimax Belfast enough! On the day of my surgery the ladies were wonderful - answered all my questions and really helped me.
