My engagement ring, now 43 years old, needed some TLC. When we picked it up today after having the shank repaired and the claws tipped, it was just as beautiful as when we bought it all those years ago. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to MJJ in Banbury on Friday 18th March, I spent nearly 2 hours talking about watches with Simon and not at any point was there any pressure to buy. It was great trying on some of the Omega collections and I did ultimately purchase a constellation for my wife (which she loves.. 😀) We spoke at length about my love for the Rolex Explorer II white dial and how crazy the market is right now, I completely understand how things are with the selection process but that works both ways, I to select where I spend my money and I've been in a fair few jewellers over the past year or so and I would definitely do business with MJJ again... Simon takes the time to get to know you and what you're looking for in a watch and stops you making expensive mistakes while steering you towards the right watch for your wrist. With his help I've built a fine collection over a number of years and I can't recommend him enough to anyone looking to make their first major watch purchase or looking to add to an existing collection.

I recently purchased a watch from Simon at the Banbury Store. In the past I have dealt with many jewellers and watch shops and purchased many high end pieces, but this was by fair my most enjoyable experience. It started with a telephone conversation with Simon a few weeks ago when he answered my every question and nothing seemed to phase him. Bearing in mind it was the first time we had ever spoken to one another, Simon was so open and honest and we had a 30 minute chat that could have gone on for another hour! I was immediately drawn to Michael Jones Jewellers. I then visited the Banbury store twice over the course of a week. My first visit was to try on a few watches and Simon even surprised me with a a watch that really tickled my fancy but I was immediately drawn to two. Simon then advised me to mull over which watch was best for me over the weekend - looking back I really appreciate this because it allowed me to consider more carefully what watch best suited my needs and there was no hard sell at any time. Less than a week later I went back to pick up my purchase and I’ve been smiling like a Cheshire Cat ever since!! Overall what can I say that I haven’t already said - the service was superb, Simon is the most knowledgeable chap when it comes to watches and I would not hesitate to recommend Michael Jones Banbury if anybody wishes to purchase watches from them. This will be the only place I go to to satisfy all my watch needs!
