Looking for a special diamond ring, I have been in every jewellery shop in the Lane but have been amazed by the owner Tarik, who took a great time to go through the wide range of rings with me and explained in lenghts the differences between each of them. It's hard not to find what you are looking for in his shop. I left the shop with my dream ring and use it ever since. Great value for my money but more importantly Tarik's kindness, in-depth expertise and hospitality was the key point in my purchase. I would highly recommend to visit him before you decide to buy anything.

Tarik expertly guided me from an idea in my head of the engagement ring I wanted, to a stunning bespoke piece of jewelry that myself and my partner are over the moon with! He knew what I wanted more than I did! It was an incredible experience and a pleasure to meet and work with an absolute craftsman of his trade. My husband has bought me several pieces of diamond jewellery from Tarik at J&D The Lanes Jewellery & Diamonds, Brighton. Some of them were specifically made for me according to my design. All jewellery items are unique and exquisite, and I love wearing them all the time. Tarik is “my personal jeweller” now and a good friend. Tarik is a great jeweller. I bought a ring for my daughters 18th birthday. He sold a ring for me and restrung my mum's antique pearls. He is fair with pricing and a nice man to deal with.

By far the best high end jewellery shop in Brighton! My partner and I bought my engagement ring here and couldn’t have had a better service! Tarik was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us such a good deal! He even resized my ring within a few hours. I cannot recommend him enough. The owner, Tarık, is the best in the town. I bought a necklace from him before. I love wearing it. But the point is not how much i like the product. Besides doing his job very well, he is also a decent person and full of experienced. One of my friend’s ring was so badly. We gave him and after a few hours he gave it back to us in a newer than before! So I decided to leave a review here. Tarık is very thoughtful, helpful and a good jeweler. Highly recommend him.

This is the only place to go for your diamonds in my opinion. Excellent quality, very friendly, helpful and genuine people. Tarik supports customers, listening to their needs with ease. No pressure selling - such a peaceful spot of luxury nestled amongst many - this is a real ‘diamond’ find!!! 😍 I felt able to browse and try as many rings as needed. I even took lunch in between making my decisions… So many beautiful choices to see. J&D also custom made my wedding ring exactly as I wanted it. Please give them a visit… this is the one!

After inheriting a ring I had my first experience in a jewellery shop and after my experience with Tarik will definitely be back! He advised to have the ring refitted and cleaned and it now fits perfectly and looks brand new! This was the first jewellers that we entered and although not wanting to lose our custom Tarik understood that I needed to look elsewhere before making my final decision. He was very welcoming, accommodating and clearly had lots of knowledge and experience so was able to easily help me with my choice. Popped into the lanes to see Our friend Tarik. After more than 18 months he remembered us and greeted us with a big happy smile. We were there to ask a favor if he could solder my wife’s engagement, wedding and eternity rings together as they were slipping he did this the same day. Not only do I have a beautiful woman in my life but also the most gorgeous ring on my finger. We looked at many shops through the lanes and came across the perfect aray of rings. One ring was standing out. A beautiful sapphire with diamonds. Perfect for our engagement. Tarik welcomed us into his shop with a very calm happy smile. He made us feel very special and was so excited for us. He took time explaining about the different stones and the type of rings. I brought in a bracelet that was very dear to me after losing a rose gold flower from it. I really wasn't holding out much hope of getting a replica flower made and set in the bracelet. It took six months but Tarik went above and beyond and I waa able to collect it today. I am so happy with the result and would award 10 stars if I could! Thank you so muchTarik.

There is no shortage of jewellers in the Lanes; however J & D is the best. Tarik is honest and so easy to deal with; he always greets you with a smile and is happy to answer any questions you have. He only works with fine jewellery and precious stones and diamonds - no lab (fake) diamonds here! Just beautiful pieces at really competitive prices. I gave Tarik a Mappin and Webb eternity ring in platinum with diamonds and sapphires to fix for me as a sapphire had fallen out over 4 years. M&W quoted £250 to replace a tiny sapphire; Tarik took the ring, replaced the sapphire and had it polished.. all done while I waited and at less than half the quoted price. Definitely see Tarik for a new piece, to get a quote for your old pieces of fine jewellery or for any repairs. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Today I popped in to see J and D and saw a pair of beautiful diamond ear rings I really wanted them they where so gorgeous ! Tarik made it very easy and he has the best prices ! I did only come to have my ring resized and built up which he can have done in an hour such service. But I also left with the gorgeous diamond ear rings lol Thank you so much I love them.

While visiting the Lanes in Brighton, we popped into J&D to enquire about repairing my wife's engagement ring. It's a custom made ring and needed special work not of a stranded repair. Tarik, spoke to us and explained the best options how to repair the ring with the best Options. Having high standards I am always picky with people's work. But Tarik was amazing. His repair to the ring was perfect and he was able to do the repair within the afternoon. Looking down the Lanes the stores start to blend into the same and repeated image, but his store is very much a stand alone and our new favourite family jewellers.

I had 2 diamond rings to sell that I had inherited & to be honest had no knowledge about pricing or selling jewellery, I had gone to a couple of other shops in the lanes and they were only looking for metal to melt down and couldn’t help. Tariq welcomed me and my Dad in, he was very kind and personable and also examined the rings and valued the rings. He took his time and got to know us and asked me how much I wanted for them and I said a rough figure (a complete guess) and he was honest enough to tell me that I’d really undervalued them and gave me a much higher price - what a lovely thing to do and I would’ve been none the wiser if he hadn’t have said anything! An honest, lovely and genuine sale, thank you! If I ever need any advice, to sell or to buy jewellery, Tariq will be my go to! 10/10
