Couldn’t have been a more perfect place! Very clean and well stocked with supplies and very easy to acquire more if needed. We met 2 different receptionists and were absolutely amazed at their every day, any need responses. We’ve stayed in many places but this was the best of all. Location was within walking distance from train station and the 100 bus stop should you use airport. We booked our own tours prior to arriving via TripAdvisor. Restaurants nearby for any cuisine. We were happy to be able to walk everywhere.

Excellent, helpful and friendly staff on arrival. Apartment was spotless. Had everything you need, and was gorgeous! Great location, quiet, comfortable beds, couldn't have been any better. We stayed Monday to wednesday and thought it was incredible value for money. I would absolutely stay again, we had the perfect girls trip. Definitely recommend this place. If you're thinking of booking, just do it!

Beware - Warning for travelers wanting to book more than one apartment at Sonder locations! You are required to book each apartment in a separate transaction. After you book the first one, their dynamic pricing kicks in and instantly raises the price for your second room. After you book that one, thinking OK, I can deal with a 20% increase because I really want to stay here, and go to book your third apartment and find the price is now 40% higher, it really starts to burn. This is a 20% and 40% increase in a matter of hours for the exact same room and same dates. Then you call their customer service number to ask if they can help you get all three of your bookings adjusted to the same price... the price that you saw on their website when deciding to book in the first place. You're told too bad, that's just the way their pricing works. Nothing can be done. No apology or concern. The apartments look lovely and the reviews are great, but this lack of transparency on pricing feels very wrong and we will not stay at a Sonder establishment ever.

The place was amazing and very secure, Room spaces was perfect, I’ve selected one bedroom, everything was perfect specially the kitchen appliances and washing machine. I would like to appreciate the warm welcome from the staff, overall they are so kind and supportive. Sincerely, Mohammed

The Reception staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful when there was a problem with the room heating - they switched us to a new and upgraded room the next day - we were fortunate there was another room available. Love the simple style with Sonder, very comfortable beds, lovely sofas and fully equipped kitchens, an excellent stay thankyou. Also right by the centre of town.

Our two bedroom apartment was perfect for two couples. Each couple had a nice size bedroom and their own bathroom. The rest of the unit was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. Loved the coffee and tea supplies! The location was very close to the train station and walking distance from pretty much everything. As others have indicated, there is a bit of street noise but it wasn't too bad. My only other complaint is the mirrors!! Very small, hung too high, and too far from the sink. I had to put my makeup on in the living room where the mirror was larger and the lighting better.

Amazing location in the heart of Edinburgh. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. The kitchen was a great addition since we were there for a few days and were able to have breakfast in the room. Would definitely stay there again!

Really enjoyed our few days stay while visiting family over Christmas. Warm and welcoming accommodation with many conveniences supplied. Our apartment was spacious with a very home from home feel to the place. Many thanks. :)

My husband and I stayed at the Sonder in Edinburgh and had the best possible experience! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They even allowed for us to have an earlier than expected check-in, which was extremely appreciated given that we were on a time zone six hours ahead and were exhausted upon arrival. The rooms were lovely, and the location was within walking distance of everything we set out to do. I 100% recommend!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is close enough to all of the major points of interest (or bus/tram stops to get there), but still a quiet neighborhood. Staff was nice and helpful. We particularly enjoyed that we didn't hear any of our neighbors. The garden view was lovely as well. Things that could be improved: There was no wardrobe!! Living out of a suitcase is fine for a few days. But I would have preferred having a place to put my clothes. While the kitchen was fairly big and had lots of appliances, I wish there had been an adult food sized pan. We had a single tiny pan. A nonstick pan, too, but only metal utensils. There were no small bowls (but plenty of plates!). There was a coffee capsule machine, but no cups that fit underneath. I wish there had been basics like salt and oil available. I hope the salt we bought will stay in the kitchen and won't get thrown out after we left. The windows didn't open. So there was air conditioning on 24/7, with no way to open the windows for fresh air. The big see through vent right above the bed felt like an odd placement, too.

Fantastic location in New Town. I had a studio garden facing room which was perfect for 4 night stay. Loved the view. Very peaceful. Also loved the coffee machine, washer/dryer and the bath! Highly recommend. Super easy self checkin process.

This is an excellent location, close to fantastic restaurants (Dishoom, excellent vegan options, The Spence, Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street), and close to the Tram. From the airport, we only had to walk one block from the Tram. It’s an easy walk to old town and Waverly train station. The staff was so kind, caring, helpful, and attentive to all of our needs. Alfie was the best! We were exhausted from jet lag and they helped us get into our apartment early to rest. The apartment was immaculate, had a fully functional kitchen, washer/dryer for clothes, three separate rooms and two full baths. The showers were great with lots of hot water. The bedrooms were quiet and had full black out curtains. A separate living area with a door made it possible for us to have a quiet work space or nice family time together. This place was one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed. I recommend it with the highest regard!

The Sonder Royal Garden Apartments are a great base in Edinburgh, I would highly recommend a stay there. Our apartment was spacious and provided all of the necessities for a short stay. A well, simply equipped kitchenette, laundry, nice bathroom with a great shower, comfortable bed... pillows weren't my favorite but everything was very clean and well organized. We had limited interaction with the staff but they were super friendly, helpful and available! We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had useful communication before we arrived. The apartment was spacious and clean. It had lovely big, opening windows. Our apartment faced over the garden which meant it was quiet enough to leave windows open at night which was great after a long trip. The other view would also be amazing of the Scottish Portrait gallery and other old buildings. Everything was well planned and functioned perfectly. There was detergent, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea etc all provided. We walked with our suitcases from Edinburgh Waverley station in about 10 minutes. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend for travelers who enjoy space.

It’s a nice, cosy place, it has everything you need (even coffee:)) and it’s almost directly in the city center. The staff is really helpful and kind. The only thing I didn’t like was the noise from the AC/or heating system - not sure what it was. I had to sleep with ear plugs.

Great location for our travels, having a full apartment made a nice relaxing conclusion to our trip (London —> St Andrews —> Edinburgh). We had a lovely space to relax that was also convenient to exploring the city. The washer/dryer wasn’t the best but did the job. Definitely our favorite stay during our trip!

Conveniently located in City Centre in a beautiful building. Monuments, cafes, restaurants, shopping centres, historical sites closely situated. Pick-up stations for tours are not too far. Apartment is very well furnished, bedrooms are with comfortable mattress, wardrobes and excellent bathrooms with high quality toiletries. Kitchenette is well stocked and provided with all appliances. Staff at Reception is very helpful and prompt in responding. We had an extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay and look forward to stay at other Sonder apartments. Further, we will strongly recommend this apartment to our friends.

Great location, great service all very efficient. The room although it looked like it was newly refurbished lacked some amenities. Poor storage for clothes, had to live out a suitcase, only very limited hanging space. Kitchen area could have done with a microwave. Curtains difficult to open/close Other than this a great place

A great location and a really lovely and unexpectedly large apartment. The ladies on reception were super helpful and gave us loads of good tips about the city. It was perfect for what we wanted for the weekend and we would definitely stay again.

The staff are so genuinely lovely, the room was beautiful and absolutely immaculate. It had everything I needed along with a wonderful drinks selection and an amazing bed perfect for dreaming. I highly recommend this to anyone; students, work professionals or just a wee holiday

The apartment was well set up. Loved that we had our own kitchen with dishes and a little fridge. Close to a lot of shops and great restaurants. The staff was helpful and very friendly. We really enjoyed staying here!
