NAM offers the best pho bo I have had outside Vietnam so far, and it tasted quite close to what I have had in Vietnam. However, I visited the premises several times and the quality of pho, or more exactly the broth, fluctuated a bit. The broth once tasted really thick and creamy that resembled my favourites in Vietnam, yet it became milder on my recent visits which might better suit the locals. Anyway it is still the best in Edinburgh. There are a few popular Vietnamese restaurants with generally favourable reviews yet the pho were not even close to what available in my home town Hong Kong, let alone Vietnam. So it’s still worth trying in case you fancy a more authentic pho bo. The fried spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee were very good as well.

I took my friend here several times. The fresh spring rolls, deep fried spring rolls and fish cakes were very delicious. I loved beef and beef ball pho soup. The most delicious dish was the chicken rice wrapped in lotus leaves. The vegetarian version, tofu and rice wrapped in lotus leaves, was even better! The Vietnamese coffee is very good fun and delicious! Here serves the best Vietnamese food in Edinburgh.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night, ordered the spring roll, beef pho and beef/beef ball pho. The spring roll was very good. The pho is a bit different from what we had back in the States (not in a bad way, just different) - there were a lot more cilantro and the noodles were a bit thicker. You also don’t get as many protein options. We wanted to order the coconut ice cream but they were all out. The food was overall really good, and the server was extremely nice and apologetic for the lack of ice cream. I’d recommend this place.

By far one of the very best Vietnamese food I have had in the UK. The starters are a winner and staffs are incredibly friendly. Just a minute walk from Haymarket station. Lovely ambience and incredibly thoughtful staffs. I make the effort to dine here in every single visit to Edinburgh.

This is the first time I am trying Vietnamese food I should say I was blown away by the taste. I tried chicken pho and it was scrumptious. Before I took the first sip the smell of pho made my mouth watery. Especially the broth was so good with all the spiciness and flavour of coriander leaves with crunchy spring onion. About the ambiance, it was calm and it is kinda place where you want to have food with peace and quiet. I should thank Jodi and Mrudula who were welcoming with a warm smile on the face and they were treating all the customers with love. I should also thank them for one more reason, as an Indian it was difficult for me to decide the food so they were explaining about the food and helping me choose the food. Overall, I would suggest this place for people who want to try Vietnamese food.

Loved it! We ordered spring rolls and lotus tofu, lotus chicken and fried noodles. Lotus chicken was awesome only need few more chicken pieces and also loved the way it was wrapped and cooked in lotus leaf that gave it an aromatic smell. Noodles are served with lot of fried garlic which tasted delicious . Service was great. Would definitely suggest this place.

Great food, service perfect A lovely little restaurant, warm, decorative and welcoming in the heart of Edinburgh Haymarket. The food is superb – I have eaten there several times now. Excellent food, really tasty and bursting with vibrant flavours. Friendly and welcoming staff. I would highly recommend.

Another amazing dinner at Nam! The staff is super friendly and the food is really tasty. One of those “must visit” place in town. My friend and I one chicken pho which is incredible and he had noodles with chicken and veg. We shared the caramel pork belly! Really really recommended!

Found online while visiting Edinburgh for a few days, atmosphere is beautiful and portions are massive too so definitely worth the price. Service is also wonderful. We had the pork belly (with rice) and the seafood fried rice. I also had tofu fresh spring rolls as a starter which is vegetarian friendly.

Tried NAM for the first time today with my friends for dinner, really can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough, food was brilliant and friendly service of course. Tried shrimp Pho, fried noodles chicken and chicken rice, lotus chicken and lotus tofu. Can’t wait to try the other menu items too! The dessert was top notch! New favourite local, will definitely come back!!

In my opinion the best Pho in town. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Pity they only open for dinner. (The fish cake was slightly different than what I had before tho…
