Need a couple of paramedics to help me out of the car due to the severe pain i was in. Hubby went to park the car while the paramedic wheeled me in as I was unable to walk. Reception could see I was in intense pain and did nothing to get me jnyo triage any faster. We then waited 5 hours to see triage, disgusted with triage. They did a heart trace, which meant I had to lie down this increased the pain, and I was NOT given any pain meds to help. Was told to wait to see a doctor. They did NOT prioritise me at all, and people with minor ailments like a silly cough were seen long before me! Eventually, I saw a doc, who suggested kidney stones, then sent me for an x-ray. I was told i had an infection in my lungs, and I was then sent for a scan. I was given morphine which took 30. minutes to work. After a very, very long wait, a young doctor told me in front of other patients in A&E that I had a blood clot on my lung, and a doctor who deals with pulmonary embolism was on his way down. However, I waited in agony for over 5 hours, and there was no sign of being called to see any doctor. My husband went and asked reception when I was going to see a doctor as i was in serious pain by now, and the unhelpful heartless woman told him I had to wait another 3 hours!!! I don't know how i managed it, but I yelled, threatening to sue them if I dropped down dead! Suddenly, 2 nurses appeared, one with morphine the other trying to calm me down. That receptionist didn't pass on info about me being in pain, and my husband told her this many times. She not only could see me crying but could hear me crying too. It took another 30 minutes for the morphine to take the pain away. The resus nurse was Brill. She apologised for the long wait and told me i should have been given a large dose of blood thinners as soon as they saw I had blood clots and that i didnt know how lucky I was to be alive! Those doctors that had seen me had forgotten I was there! The receptionist didn't pass on Info either. Triage nurse and doctor should be ashamed of themselves for not prioritising me with not 1 life threatening, but 2!!! I didn't have 1 blood clot either it turned out I have many blood clots on both lungs! People wonder why I hate hospitals, its because so nurse or doctor dosent do their job correctly. If I could give Glangwilli Hospital zero stars, I would. To be honest, they really need minus 5! Oh, and the lady in the X-ray was brilliant, and so was the porter and the chap doing the CT scan. A&E receptionist got a minus 5, and so did the 2 doctors prior to being v admitted to a bed in A&E I really, really, hope i NEVER need to go back to A&E again as the whole thing has left me traumatised. -5000!😭🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The hospital was overcrowded and waiting times long. We queued off the main road and it took half an hour to park. We then had a long trek to the other side of the hospital which was difficult and exhausting for my disabled companion. Hope we don't have to return for a long time!

Although the place was busy, the staff managed to see everyone in a reasonable amount of time. Not a place I would normally review but compared to what it is normally like, it was kept under control for once.

Having had to sit in a corridor with a drip in my arm for four hours, I was then asked to wait in the over crowded A&E for another three! Thankfully my wife was still there so we sat in the car until midnight, when I was called back in. Then sat in the corridor again with the drip for another fourteen hours. They lost my notes (twice), it wasn't until we complained to the family liason officer, that things eventually started to happen. An hour or so later I got a bed (still in the corridor) and eventually got put in a room, then later on to a ward by late afternoon (of the second day). I understand that they are busy, I understand that they are under staffed, I understandthat they say they haven'tgot enough doctors..... but that in no excuse for the complete and total lack of any sort of communication between departments, for which there is no need for and totally unprofessional ( a complete opposite to the excellent and efficient care I was given at Withybush hospital, sadly they were unable to carry out the particular procedure I needed and referred me to Carmarthen!). Very very poor and would rather travel further away from home, rather than suffer this shambles again!

Spent from 3.30 pm to 1.30a.m in A and E on Monday. I was being processed relatively quickly!,! As a heart problem!,! Some people had already been waiting 10 hrs. Facilities dire, waiting room packed, over heated, no distancing, not enough staff beds etc. Even though I made every effort to distance, say in car to wait, sanitised etc, a week later I have covid!!! Speaks for itself

Overcrowded with very long wait times but that is not at all the fault of the excellent staff who work here. Every member of staff I've encountered here, from the cleaners to the consultants, have been so helpful and caring. They all do such a fantastic job at keeping us safe and I am forever grateful.
