Great visitor facilities, friendly well informed staff/volunteers and views of ospreys! Can’t recommend highly enough, we popped in on a weekend in the summer holidays, and found parking easy. There is a fee (£6 per adult) to enter, but this goes direct to the charity and site care so no quibbles there. Plenty of parking, and loads of electric car chargers, which was nice to see. The cafe itself was excellent, with homemade loose leaf teas, coffees (with gluten and dairy free milks!), milkshakes and food; all reasonably priced. I had quiche of the day (delicious), which was generously portioned and came with a varied and well dressed salad. The site itself is nicely setup. At the entrance, there are live cameras which show the ospreys nest and perch; so you can see if they’re home! And there are also a set of screens showing last footage of the beavers which are on site (you likely won’t see these, as they are crepuscular/come out in the evenings). I would recommend checking out the cinema room upstairs, which showed footage of the ringing of the juvenile ospreys. There is then a nice walk along a boardwalk to a the osprey viewing tower, which has a number of scopes trained on the nest, so you can see even without binoculars, and numerous well informed volunteers. Keep an eye out on the walk, as there are common lizards that bask on the boardwalk (especially the black sides). The volunteers and staff were lovely and answered so many of my endless questions, with enthusiasm! There is also a small shop area in the entrance, with books and osprey related items for sale, as well as local produce: chutney, beer; binoculars and coasters etc.

Even though it rained it was worth getting wet for. Beautiful walk along the boardwalk to the hide. The staff are really helpful and have lots of information and knowledge. Nice lunch in the cafe.

This was a proper hidden gem, the Osprey nest has several cameras linked to monitors is various places which gave us great views of the chicks being fed by the parents. Mr Osprey had just caught a sea trout from the nearby river, brought it back & fed the chicks. Lots of information available the guides are very knowledgable and friendly. The cafe served some great food, the rarebit I had was top notch.

Lovely nature reserve though ospreys had just flown south for Winter. We were lucky enough to see grass snakes , Reed warblers and lizards though. Well worth a visit .

Beautiful peaceful place to watch birds. There are boarded walkways, so you can't get lost. There are picnic seats everywhere if you want to bring your own food though the cafe is excellent. You can really immerse yourself in nature

A fantastic preservation centre showcasing the majestic Osprey’s in an impeccably maintained habitat. We visited the Dyfi Osprey Project with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience seeing the Osprey bringing fish back to their nest. The non intrusive cameras they have set up are of the highest quality and it was breathtaking seeing them up so close on the various 4K TV’s or through the binoculars. The grounds are beautiful and home to so much wildlife. There are boardwalks laid out around the facility through the bushes allowing you to feel at the centre of the habitat. The boardwalks are wheelchair friendly, and the viewing platforms at either ends have lifts. The staff on hand are brilliant - all thoroughly knowledgable and all on hand with binoculars searching for the Osprey and pointing them out for people to view. There is a large carpark with PLENTY of AC charging ports (14+!!) for electric cars. The cafe on site is brilliant, and my favourite spot was just by the cafe till looking out over the hanging bird feeders which were busking with activity. Definitely worth a visit - and if you want a longer walk, go to the nearby RSPB location also.

Really impressed with this place! Great to see the osprey chicks on the nest both through the scopes from the observation tower and on the fantastic video feeds displayed there and in the main building. Volunteers were really knowledgeable, helpful and friendly too.

Absolutely amazing place! We only popped in for a quick visit as we were working in the area, and we can't wait to pay another visit when we've got more time. All of the staff were amazing, so friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, they all answered any questions we had and told us some really interesting facts about the ospreys. There's plenty of educational and fun bits to do and see for both adults and children, obviously seeing the ospreys being the highlight of the trip! We didn't get chance to try the cafe this time, but it looked and smelt absolutely amazing so we'll definitely be giving it a try next time!

Great to see the Osprey landing on the nest with a fish. Friendly, knowledgeable volunteers. A new section of boardwalk has opened since my last visit that gives a different view of the pond.

Absolutely love it here. We come several times a year so local Wildlife Trust membership is well worth it as if you're a member entrance is free. The Ospreys are fantastic and the walk across the wetlands is splendid. Having said all that, the cafe alone is worth the trip!

Love it here. We're local in Aberystwyth but love to swing by the osprey project go check out the birds, and get a treat at the café. Lovely toilets, great local gifts and produce. Wish you did an annual pass, we would definitely come to the cafe more and pop in more often being local.

Plenty of parking, a few disabled spots! Fully accessible for wheelchair users and people using walking aids. Small admission price to walk around the project, but the cafe is free to use, with a lovely selection of cakes and food to choose from. The coffee is a good brew, smooth and fresh. All the staff we spoke to were lovely, warm and friendly. The gentleman in the live feed area was full of a wealth of information about the family of beavers they have on site and their future plans for them as well as the Osprey and all the other wild life, for example the grass snakes and lizards! As per usual with these projects it's a need of cash boosts that's needed, but they are doing wonderful things with the place and it's somewhere I'll return to.
