Beautiful, tranquil & fun! Visited here with my 16 year old daughter and had a lovely afternoon. Well kept gardens. So many butterflies, bees and birds. Educational info presented in a very interesting and appealing way (collecting stamps and pencil rubbings). Lots of outdoor games & puzzles which were all well maintained. We especially enjoyed the football golf and the maze. We took the small train ride around which was pleasant, but really should be included in the entry price (is an additional £2 per person). Nice gift shop at the end. Staff were very friendly. Thanks for a lovely visit!

What a lovely place this is! We thought it might be a pleasant hour or two but ended up staying for five hours! For a relatively small place, there is so much to do! Really well thought out place, perfect for all ages! Plenty of seating and picnicking areas, and a great variety of activities. We loved the maze, the train and the foot golf, and the little activity book kept all the children engaged and enthused.

Haven't been to this place in over 5 years but the changes that have been made are wonderful. It's very well kept, the maze with games kept the kids entertained and the gift shop had some lovely things we just had to buy. Staff were all very friendly and driver waved on the mini train (recommended) to help the little people get the best experience. A* . You must visit if you have kids!

Such a fabulous day out! Lots to see and do here, great for family time and doggies are allowed too! There are plenty of areas to have a picnic or the cafe have a small selection of sandwiches, cakes etc. Which are reasonably priced. There's a booklet for the kids to complete as they make their way around, collecting stamps and finding answers for a woldies sticker at the end.

First visit in about four years.. Absolutely beautiful place, acres of Lavender with an abundance of different types of happy bees which is wonderful. Seeing the bees busy making honey 🍯 was amazing! we should all be planting Lavender to help our Bees 🐝 💜 The land train was an extra £2 each but totally worth it. My son particularly enjoyed the nature trail and the giant chess. Only negatives are that they used to sell the Lavender and now they've stopped? You can only purchase Lavender containing products in the shop.. That is partly the reason we visited was to pick up some local Lavender plants and have a nice afternoon out. They still sell locally produced cakes and scones but they closed the indoor cafe which used to serve homemade sandwiches, cakes etc that we really enjoyed.. but that has gone? Please consider bringing it back 🙏 So don't go expecting to come home with Lavender but do expect to come home smelling of it and having enjoyed a lovely day knowing your admission cost helped our dwindling Bees 🐝 that are so very important to us.

Visted on a weekday in September and it was very quiet which was great. The typical British weather wasn't in our favour but didn't spoil it too much. Staff are lovely, very friendly and accommodating. We had lunch in the cafe which was very nice. Good selection of sandwiches and sausage rolls. Well catered for the children with crayons and pictures to colour. You can pay an extra £2 each to ride the little train. Really recommend, it's lovely and my little boy thought it was great. We could even take the dog on! Perfect that it's dog friendly everywhere as we travelled from County Durham to visit. Everywhere is clean and kept tidy. Parking is free which is another bonus! There's loads of little games to play to keep you entertained for ages. A walk through the woods with a little play park too. Just generally a lovely little place and it's really reasonably priced, followed by a cute little gift shop when you exit. Great day out and definitely recommend!

Really nice place to go with plenty to do for the kids. Den building, little park, windmills, outdoor games to play, little train ride, nature ponds to look at.

We visited about a month ago and loved it, lavender wasnt quite in bloom but still really lovely. Theres lots to do, a willow maze with lots of games inside, a spider walk, den making area for children, small play park area, bird and butterfly watching area, goldfish/koy ponds, cafe with lovely food and drinks, small giftshop with lots of lavender themed products and dog friendly which is always a bonus

Despite the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would have stayed for much longer if there hadn’t been a thunderstorm. The lavender was in full bloom, so loads of bees and other pollinators to see. Plenty fir adults and kids alike.

Gorgeous day out with young children and grandparents. Staff incredibly friendly and there was so much to do. Our 3yo and 5yo really enjoyed the day. It was a relaxing setting and not at all crowed. We bought packed lunches for the little tea shop and ice cream at the end of the day. Lots of nice bits in gift shop and kids bits got £3 which seemed very reasonable. Will definitely return.
