Great Malvern Priory

Tourist attraction Church Cathedral

👍👍 Lovely church within the Great Malvern Town. It's historic & has wonderful architecture. It's free also and the tourist crowds are absent. Which makes it more of a perfect setting.

Lovely church, well worth a visit. It has unusual external stone work with several different rock types used, in a patchwork effect of varying colours. Interior is equally interesting with some fabulous stained glass windows, including two gorgeous modern examples. The lack of a rood screen means the full sweep of the nave and choir is completely visible. We were greeted by a very friendly and informative volunteer, who gave us background info and then left us to look around on our own. There is a war memorial in the south aisle, to the men of Malvern killed in the two World Wars. It has a very unusual but apt and moving inscription.8

Very warm friendly Church, one of the nicest places to sit and listen to music. Great history and quiet grave yard. Wonderful stained glass windows. Staff are amazing, very well worth a visit and a donation for upkeep.

Amazing place. We went on a Saturday and had a guided tour which was great. Learnt a lot. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the tour given by Peter, who was very knowledgeable about the history. There's a lot more behind the simple facade of "it's a big church". For a game, try to find the single tile on the steps that is upside down.

It's a really beautiful place, and I especially love the 2 newer windows. But it's very noisy, with chatter from the gift shop and other conversations creating noise. Generally this doesn't matter, but I was there in grief and needed some quiet. I tried the little Chapel in the south east corner but I could still hear all the chatter. I don't think there is much that can be done about this given that it's a community building, but if anyone does need peace, I highly recommend Little Malvern Priory.

Very welcoming place with lots of very interesting features from the past. Great that it's still full of life in the present with a large congregation on Sunday's and reaching out with God's love during the week.

Didn't have much time here and would like to have taken photographs outside but it was teaming down with rain. What an amazing place, rich in history. I light a few candles and bought a few books and cards. Would love to visit this town again.
