My partner and I ate here this evening and we were not disappointed. The.food was amazing, along with the attention to detail. Linen napkins, polished glasses clean table cloths. Friendly welcome when you arrive and lovely court yard area. Portion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable food is cooked to order, We have booked for next week to bring family to this little gem of a find I would have taken photos of the dessert too but it smelt and looked so good we dived straight in

I was I two minds whether to recommend this restaurant, the first selfish reason was that I wanted to be able to easily get a table whenever I wanted, and recommendation would mean more customers, excellent for The Grill, not so excellent for us! I have a feeling that I will have to book far in advance as this place is so good. I then thought that as we had such an amazing time that I really should let others know about how good The Grill really is! Great family owned and run restaurant, service brilliant, no request was too difficult or too much trouble. Felt like royalty and the attentive staff made things so comfortable. The food all cooked to order, fresh ingredients and served hot was excellent and a long way away from chain restaurant tepid bland fare. The chef cooked everything to order and to perfection and followed special dietary requests without any issues so if you fancy a change from the normal high street food factories and want to have some really excellent dishes I would highly recommend. We have found a brilliant place and can't wait to visit again. Cannot recommend highly enough and have never given more than 4 stars before, 5 should only be used for the exceptional and this restaurant is superb.

We called close to closing and asked if they could squeeze us in and they were very accommodating. Lovely outdoor area as well as a beautiful upstairs full of character. We both ordered a burger and shared a bottle of Malbec. Both burgers were absolutely delicious & the homemade chips & onion rings served with them were exceptional. We will definitely be making a reservation in advance if we come back to the area.

Exceptional food and service. Group of 3 of us booked, l had pate (beautifully presented and delicious), sirloin steak and proper homemade chips (perfectly cooked) with a lovely peppercorn sauce, and Biscoff cheesecake. That was the biggest slice of cheesecake l have ever seen, utterly delicious ! The team work brilliantly together, highly recommended !!

We shared the chefs special Tomahawk Steak and I can honestly say it was up there with the best I've ever had. Considering it was approx 2" thick 😳 it was perfectly cooked (medium/rare) and tasted fantastic. Came with a generous serving of fries, onion ring, salad, coleslaw and a choose of sauces (we had peppercorn). Lovely staff, very friendly.

We just enjoyed a Valentine's Day meal here and we came home so satisfied, I thought I had to leave a review! From the start, the front of house lady gave us a very warm welcome when showing us to our table and this continued throughout the evening with all the waiting staff being very helpful. Secondly, the food was absolutely delicious! I had the lamb shank and my partner the pork belly. Both dishes were really well cooked and the portions were huge. We barely had enough room for pudding but decided to share one. Not being able to decide on one option, the lady kindly offered us the apple tart with a slice of the cheesecake on the side so we could try two (they were both delicious). All in all, we really enjoyed tonight's meal: the food was fantastic, the atmosphere in the restaurant very warm and welcoming, and it was very reasonably-priced too. Thank you to everyone in the restaurant for making it such a lovely evening.

I was in a big party and I think too big to serve so a lot was late and done food really good, some not so. Its probably fine for groups of upto 4 people. Staff were polite. My food was good, the squid was cooked properly.

Popped in on the off chance with my wife and daughter, was made very welcome and had a lovely meal. On the night we visited children ate for free which was a fantastic bonus. Would happily visit again.

We ate our dinner in our coats as we were frozen. No heating on in December! The service was ok but the food was awful. The fish was over cooked and didn’t taste fresh. Very disappointing experience as was expecting so much better. Over priced rubbish.

First time visiting wont be the last :) Lovely food & staff, met the owner she such a lovely lass. Food was great TRY THEIR CHUTNEY YOU WON'T REGRET IT !! Dessert I couldn't pick out from chocolate brownie or tiramisu so I got both 🤣 both was great but for me tiramisu was the winner. 💯 💯

Delicious food and excellent attentive service. We had meal for 17 for an 80th birthday celebration and were immediately put at ease by the helpful and friendly owner and staff who decorated the area for us with the bits we had bought. They operate a great system to enable everyone to pay for their own drinks and meals which worked faultlessly and avoided the awkward moment when you have to try and divide the bill up. Tomahawk steak was lush btw

Went for a friend's 18th birthday meal. Quick and attentive service. Friendly and welcoming staff. Halloumi fries for starters were lovely. Smoked cheese burger for main, chips were lovely and the homemade coleslaw was amazing. Beautiful building. Would recommend for anyone that's looking for somewhere new to try. Will definitely be bringing my partner along for a meal soon.

Dined last night. I was most impressed by the great service and the fantastic, floury home made chips! Excellent halloumi fries and squid for starter too. Delicious! If I lived in Ipswich, I would definitely be coming back here!

Had a lovely meal here pre-match. The food was amazing some of the portions were a bit on the small side i.e linguine and the gnocchi, but the service was exceptional! Nothing was too much trouble. I am sure if we had said the portion size was on the smaller side this would have been rectified. On the whole, very welcoming and I would visit again.

This was our works Christmas meal and Very unusually for December we sat outside in a gazebo. There were heaters and blankets provided but it was absolutely freezing, not what I was expecting at all. The food was ok but not very big portions. They kept running out of various drinks and we had to accept alternatives. Not everyone in our party got what they had ordered in advance and had to wait while it was corrected. All in all a very unsatisfactory experience and I definitely won’t be going back.

Booked outdoor area for surprise 40th birthday.. and words cannot describe how wonderful the evening was. Food, staff, decorations, everything was amazing. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you to everyone at grill25 for making our evening the perfect experience!

We went for my hen do last week :) My friends booked the outside area. It was decorated really lovely for me! The food was fab and they had made an extra effort to produce a vegan menu. I had an avocado salad, caluliflower steak and tasty desert, all vegan and it was lovely! Staff where lovely and friendly and they made some fab cocktails, also the chef came out to see us which was really sweet. Thankyou so much for the lovely evening and all the effort put in. I felt very special!

Had dinner here for the first time last weekend and was a great experience. Very friendly and helpful waiting staff and the food was delicious. It's clear they are using fresh and local ingredients but they keep the prices affordable. Overall, would thoroughly recommend especially in the summer as they have a lovely garden!

We had dinner here on Monday evening which turned out to be semi busy but service was still excellent despite only having one waitress attend to everyone. I must say the food was cooked to quite a high standard both starters and mains were definitely at a higher standard than your typical pub grill. The desert didn't live to its billing unfortunately but the rest of the course was good. Solid 4 star 🌟 and a definite recommendation for a local
