Wow! Wow! Wow! What an amazing nature reserve & a natural habitat. I was thrilled to see how beautiful this whole nature reserve is. A huge hats off to RSPB for maintaining these lovely nature reserves. Whether you are into birds or not, you must visit here if you are into nature and wildlife. The walks, scenaries, beaches & everything is amazing. When you visit, expect to spend at least 5-6 hours to gain the maximum experience. There is a lovely cafe if you want to get some refreshments. Entrance is free for members and I highly recommend you all the become a RSPB member. Thank you 👍

This was my first visit to RSPB Minsmere and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff are very friendly and informative. The maps are easy to follow and the routes are well signposted. There are many hides to view from and a range of habitats for different wildlife, including wetlands, beach, gorse area, meadows and woodland. There is also an adventure area for children. After a 5 hour ramble I enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and sweet potato roll from a delightful cafe, which was clean , well stocked with a range of hot and cold food and drinks. Obviously not leaving until I had made a visit to the lovely shop stocked with all the RSPB favourites. The only down side was that I lost my sunglasses around the beach/gorse area.

It was my first visit to Minsmere and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who shares an interest in conservation and wildlife in general. There's ample parking, it costs £9 pp or if you're a member then it's free of course, there's a cafe and a shop. The toilets are clean, I didn't find any other toilets on the walks though, so my advise is GO even if you don't want to. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and keen to get you to sign up for a subscription. The pathways are clear and marked and good for disabled access, however some parts of the walks will be a real challenge as they can be steep, uneven or even sandy, obviously by the beech. There's lots for children to get into, especially in the woodland area. I was a bit surprised that they don't give you a map, instead having to rely on my phone which was useless as I had no signal, however, they point you in a general direction and off you pop! There are maps located all around the reserve so I took a picture and used that. Have a fab time, keep safe and enjoy! ❤

Great place to discover less than common nature. A true utopia for the natural world-lover. Lots of trails, unspoilt views, and rare habitats for Britain's most endangered. Just a pity about the price of food and the restaurant service. £4.80 for a sausage roll.. wait for it... £9.80 for a jacket potato, and that's without an extra topping. Someone's gotta pay for all those Bittern habitats! Will pay pilgrimage again, but will take own snacks next time.

Stunning place, just wish we hadn’t taken our dog as we had to leave her in the car as no dogs allowed anywhere (unless assisted). Had to cut out trip short whilst 1 of us stayed with her. Still… would definitely re visit and would look forward to it.

The best RSPB site I have visited. So pretty and HUGE. Heard the bitterns booming which was amazing. The hides are excellent, some high in the tree canopy, some out overlooking the water. Lots of birds and wildlife.

Amazing nature reserve - it is definitely a place to keep returning to - even if knowledge of birds is limited it’s an enjoyable day out with so much nature to see - plus a walk along the beach was very pleasant.

Its a stunning place with a lot of wildlife, especially birds and insects near the coast. There are plenty of hides to sit in and watch over the marshes and a forest as well. The cafe made very delicious food and the staff were efficient.

Lovely time here, if you like nature and bird watching, can rent binoculars if you need to, and activities for the children. Different trails to follow and different hides to use. Lovely gift shop and can buy something to eat in the cafe.

Our first time visiting Minsmere - and we took the whole family with us! We weren't sure how well it would go down, but we were pleased by the number of activities available and very much enjoyed tromping around the different hides. Saw a bittern for the first time, so happy to tick that off our list, and the kids and adults loved the pond dipping - the volunteers were incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much of that understanding in a friendly and accessible way. Highly recommended.

We met at main car park to mountain bike through the local area. Great rides over different terrain including heathland and Forrest trails pretty dry considering all the recent weather. Good pub stop at Westleton Crown for coffee.

Enjoyed our walk in Minsmere very much. We did the 2 mile beach walk with several bird Hydes around the lakes and part of a forest walk. Easy paths to follow. Well worth a visit.

Fascinating and beautiful place to visit, spent the whole day there. Friendly and helpful staff and lots of knowledgeable visitors to help us novice birdwatchers. We were very lucky to see a Bittern!

Great place to visit if you are in the area. It has an admission charge unless you are a member, you can join the RSPB when you arrive. Had a good walk to the seaside and entered some of the hides and in one of the hides there's a hornets nest on the outside if you look closely.

This has to be one of the best reserves by far. Stunning views..being so close to the coast really gives that extra touch..and the different birds 🐦 Staff and volunteers were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee shop is a must pit stop...the vegetarian pasty was just too good. And they do lovely coffees too. I would recommend everyone and anyone to visit this place. Even if you're not into bird watching. The tranquil and serene atmosphere here is something else! Keep up the good work guys!

Minsmere is a wonderful place to spend the whole day. Great welcome on entering by knowledgable staff/ volunteers. Several clearly marked walks, lots of hides, great cafe & shop. Lots of different habitats for spotting wildlife. We were lucky enough to see 2 bitterns on the day we visited. Great day out.

An absolute gem of a place, we had visited once before but that was during the pandemic and at that point the hides were understandably closed off. On our return visit though everything was open and thriving. The staff are all super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a good few relaxing hours visiting the hides. We spotted some lovely things including the great & little egrets, avocets, marsh harriers, shell ducks, and a very brief glimpse of a kingfisher. The highlight though was seeing the beautiful Bittern in the reeds, very hard to spot but kindly pointed out by Joe, one of the RSPB volunteers. Highly recommend a visit as it is a beautiful place.

Amazing place. Great shop and coffee shop. Toilets are down some stairs but there is a toilet accessible for wheelchair users. Staff were very helpful. Mobility scooter available to use (book in advance). Love that you can get woodland, Wetland and beach in one venue. Just drive slowly on the way in as it's very narrow.

Absolutely amazing place, beautiful and calm. Enjoyed a beautiful walk, looked at all sorts of birds and a few snakes. The bird watching towers are brilliant and the trees are perfect for climbing. The children den building area is so much fun and lots of different bits for the children to do to keep them entertained as well x

A lovey place to spend 2 - 3 hours or more wandering. I am not a bird watcher but was mesmerised just watching them in the reedbeds and grass land. A little history is also available when you notice the long line of huge concrete blocks erected in the 2nd World War. Everyone very friendly, easy parking, good shop and cafe.
