Had a sunday lunch again at the Helm. you cannot fault it. You get a great portion and great value and it tastes amazing. The creamy leeks are a favourite! The homemade cheesecake was amazing. I Will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended but you will need to book.

We have dinned here a few times and thought It was time to write a gleaming review for this outstanding place. I can't say enough good things about the Helm the food is divine the service is impeccable. If you want a guaranteed perfect evening out amazing food and a cracking service the Helm is the place to be 5* if I could give more I would. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Oh my goodness.. what an absolutely delicious Sunday dinner. The lamb was so tender. And a huge range of vegetables cooked to perfection. My only negative was that the food was that there was so much delicious food that I didn't have any room for the delicious looking desserts. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Helm. The food was excellent, staff and service were very friendly, informative and professional. Also very helpful for the 'fussy eater' lol. Very generous portions and the meat was delicious and tender. Suitable for all ages and also wheelchair accessible. Will definitely visit again when we are next in the area.

I went to The Helm for Sunday lunch with a friend around a month ago. The food was excellent, all fresh vegetables, beautiful roast lamb, really tasty and great portions. The staff were really friendly and there wasn't a long wait for our meal. We had a starter of prawn cocktail, that was delicious and again a big portion. The only problem was it was all so delicious and filling, we couldn't manage any of the lovely homemade desserts!!! Next time!! maybe no starter then a delicious dessert 😋 The Best Sunday Lunch around 😋

Very cold as heating not working. Very little effort to decorate the room for Christmas parties. Food ok, turkey was a bit dry, but nice veg and plenty of it. For dessert I had Bailey's cheesecake - very rich and sickly, I couldn't eat it all.

You can drive past and miss this place. It sounds harsh, but it isn't much to look at outside or inside, but my god, the food...😍 It's delicious. Massive portions, PROPER chips, PROPER burgers(no oven ready junk), and PROPER portions.... There's a chain pub nearby, I've been to both. This place wins hands down.. Recommended
