asks us to come early for football or risk giving away a table. when we turn up food app not working. told it ll be at least 30 mins until its turned back on. so in essence 45 minimum wait. they knew england game would be heaving so why were they not prepared!?! complained to staff and got a shrug and sorry. well enjoy your 1 star.

Really lovely food and super friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and I was made to feel so welcome. A good sized beer garden too.

Great burgers. I had a vegetarian red pepper, butterbean and cheddar which was excellent. 1 other vegan choice but 5 vege choices in the small plates. Chunky chips were excellent crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Salad was leafy. Great choice of cocktails, although we had a thirst quenching cider. Lovely staff. Very friendly. The only downside, for an oldy was the high table and barstools. Will return.

Surprisingly good pub. I don’t really understand why this place isn’t more popular. It’s got good beer on tap (wiper and true kaleidoscope), it has a pool table and dartboard and it’s in a pretty decent location

Quite possibly the best roast I have ever had! Such a unique take on a classic roast with melt in your mouth beef and perfectly cooked veg! Staff were super friendly and happy to help! Will definitely be coming back and bringing all my friends!

Great place and food

Been here a few times. Food is really good always fresh and tasty. If you get only one thing get chips there immense. Owners are so friendly and accommodating. Great drinks advice always a pleasure to talk to. Really great for Gloucester Road to see a good business who listens to it's customers and looks after them. Great for one drink or a few can't recommend enough.

A good, country local pub in the middle of a city with a bar vibe. I think it's great and the food is excellent even if your a vegan. A hidden gem. Can be a bit sport orientated so avoid of that's not your thing

Booked for Saturday night dinner and was so impressed. My partner and I shared 5 of the starter plates and I could not pick a favourite, all of the dishes were a really good size and very tasty. Servers were helpful and friendly, never had an empty drink before they were at our table to see if we needed more. Nice lively vibe.

A really lovely local bar with friendly landlords, always welcoming and fast service. The garden is a secret sun trap for all those sun worshippers but also offers shade for those not so keen. TV in the garden for the summer sport and heaters and shelter for the colder months. Inside has a pool table, TV and darts board and a large dining area at the back. But if that’s not your thing then there is also a lovely atmosphere at the front by the bar. Food really good and menu updated regularly. Small plates are always the winner for me but occasionally enjoy a Sunday roast too.

Went here on a Wednesday night, it was chill and spacious, which was perfect, lovely friendly staff and great service, and the cheese and leek tempura burger was lush! We've heard the Sunday roasts are amazing too, so will be back! Bumped into a couple of mates there too, which was great - quiet enough to chat, much less hectic than where we originally planned to go! Thank you!

Probably the best vegetarian main I've had for a Sunday lunch. Absolutely delicious, the accompanying vegetables were varied and cooked to perfection. Delicious and good portions. Will be back .

It was the perfect pub for watching the world cup and autumn international rugby games. The spicy chicken burger was delicious!

Great place to have a few drinks with mates. The bar staff are very cool and nice to chat to. I sampled some local bottled cider whilst there which was potent!

Honestly one of the best pubs in Bristol, expect a warm welcome and an even better atmosphere. Lovely little garden perfect for summer evenings.

Really friendly service in a cool setting. The food was absolutely fantastic, delicious, authentic roast dinner. Everything was homemade and tasted incredible. Not your standard Sunday Lunch, this was a step above!

Amazing food! My favourite was the avocado chilli toast. Close second was the spicy chicken wings. Caught a glimpse of the burger though. Serious food envy! Definitely ordering the next time! Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, reasonable prices and by all accounts the food is really good. It's much bigger than you expect inside and has a nice terraced beer garden at the back.

Bar service was friendly and a nice place with a fair selection of beers, ales and ciders. Has big TV's so presume it's a sport bar of some kind and would be busier on Saturdays

Excellent little bar. Very much a football pub, so lots of tv footie shown. Other sports too. But it's more than just a pub with a tv. Great food, good beer and a decent range of cocktails. Busy and sociable place, great bar staff, great atmosphere, and a decent place to pop into for a beer, glass of wine, etc. Worth dropping in and enjoying a drink and a bite to eat. You will go back for more.
